For example like the page: flightdiary.net
Where you have to add the info like date etc. and it automatically displays it on a sheet? I have no idea how to code this. I don't know how to google it either
It's for a website I make for students. They will fill their homework etc. in this website. I would be very happy if you could help me.
The easiest way would be to use date input, like so:
<input type="date" name="your-name">

For more advanced usage you should Google for datepickers, such as this one.
If you were asking for dynamic placeholders, they're done this way:

Our address on the footer of our BigCommerce Website has an apostrophe that shows up as & #39;.
The current code looks like this:
<address>{{nl2br settings.address}}</address>
I tried replacing the code with this:
<address>{{{ sanitize settings.address }}}</address>
However it loses it's linebreaking formatting and I would like to keep that.
How would I combine the Sanitization of the code along with the linebreak functionality. Or is there a better way to go around this where I would get the same result?
This sounds like it may be a bug, Deo. I'd recommend you to report this to our Technical Support team by contacting them via live chat, phone or your preferred method listed here: https://support.bigcommerce.com/s/#contact
I've Googled around for about an hour, without luck.
I'm trying to build an advanced contact formula i a Wordpress environment. The contact formula should do this:
At first, there should only be a single dropdown-menu available, like this:
Option1
Option2
Option3
If 'Option1' is selected, then some information should be shown, and then another dropdown-menu is shown, as such:
Option4
Option5
Option6
If 'Option2' is selected, then it should again show some information, but then show three other options, like this:
Option7
Option8
Option9
And so on. Many survey-formulars are built in this way - but I need to make it, to make a support-site for some different products.
I tried Googling for Wordpress-plugins, but without any luck (I must admit, I'm unsure of, what I should search for). I've used Wufoo-formula's before, but it doesn't appear to me, that Wufoo has that option.
How is this made the easiest and the best? Hand-coding it using HTML, javascript and CSS? Or are there a cool online-tool that I'm unaware of?
I had the same problem and made some research, which ended up in some results.
1. Buy the required functions
If you have a great number of forms to create and the money to invest, you could use something like Ninja Forms and buy the Conditional Logic plugin. With this you can create multiple forms and connect their elements with the needed criteria to show or hide them or to change their values.
https://ninjaforms.com/extensions/conditional-logic/
2. Code the form
Actually we have only one form we use. This is the reason, because I decided to save my money and did it myself.I expanded our wordpress theme by another page template and created the form that fits our needs in it. After that I added the PHP code to send the form via email on the top and the JavaScript code for the conditional logic on the bottom of my php file. In Wordpress I created a new page and applied the newly created page template.
I'm not sure if this is best practice, but for me it was an easy way to achieve my goal and save some time.
Best regards
I have many websites like Facebook where we write a email address and we just click a button, from this a list of email address's rolls down.
Can anyone tell me how this is achieved? Can it be done with just HTML or do i need to learn any other language?
This is accomplished using Javascript or AJAX requests to query the databases "live" and the return a data set. If I understand you correctly like on Facebook where you type in a Friends name and it will pull back a full list of names which may be your friends.
Jquery, Ajax, Javascript, PHP and Mysql would be some good researching points.
It would be worth searching for "How to create a PHP Ajax request to auto populate HTML fields"
If you are referring to Auto Complete within a browser this is a local setting which is controlled by the end user or their administrator and from what I am aware from HTML alone you can not manipulate this.
I fully agree with Steve's answer. In addition you might want to check out the following:

Hope it will help you
Well i go on and search a lot and then i found this is very simple!!
you just need is to type autocomplete = "on" and give it a name and then make a submit button
the code goes here:
<input type="text" name="Name" autocomplete="on" />
<input type="submit" />
This is a rather simple question, but I cannot find documentation about it from Salesforce.
I am setting up an HTML Newsletter from Salesforce Vertical Response, and I need to put a link in the body of the email that goes to another site which takes the user's email address as a query string. I am doing this so that when the user clicks the link from the HTML email, they will automatically be signed up for a different blog mailing list.
The link will look like this www.mywebsite.com/blog/subscribe?email=your_email#email.com.
I can easily accomplish this by using the {EMAIL_ADDRESS} variable, such that the link looks like this:
Subsribe
This workds, but when the user gets the email and clicks the link, the '#' symbol gets stripped from the URL. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get around this. I saw some documentation on the URLENCODE() function for SalesForce, but when I try to use it in the HTML email editor in SalesForce, like URLENCODE({EMAIL_ADDRESS})it doesn't execute it, and instead interprets it literally as text. Can anyone help me? is it even possible to use functions from within the SalesForce HTML email editor?
Thanks
I havent used VerticalResponse, but if it leans on salesforce communication templates then you can always create an email template as Visualforce page. Then you can apply Encode functions to merge fields.
I'm glad you were able to find a workaround. If you ever go back to dealing with the URL, it's a good idea to disable our click-tracking when working with merge fields. This can be accomplished by adding nr_ before the http. Example: Subsribe - If you ever try that and it doesn't work, or if you have any other questions, please let us know via one of our Support channels:

Can anyone please tell me about how to open calendar pop up format in html? So that the user could select date, month and year from the calendar in a form like course registration form.
How to design the form in html for selecting the dd-mm-yyyy?
Please give me suggestions.
Thanks in advance!
HTML5 offers this facility natively: HTML5 date picker.
If your target browser(s) do not yet support that, you have to implement it yourself in JavaScript, for example, by using one of the available date picker scripts. Use the search engine of your choice.
This can be done using jQuery UI Datepicker
You cannot do it with HTML Only. Need the aid of Javascript to do it.
