I am trying to run a simple junit in a package. But it keeps on failing with ClassNotFound Exception.
My build file looks like this:
<project name="JunitTest" default="test" basedir=".">
<property name="testdir" location="bin" />
<property name="full-compile" value="true" />
<path id="classpath.base"/>
<path id="classpath.test">
<pathelement location="lib/junit-4.10.jar" />
<pathelement location="${testdir}" />
<path refid="classpath.base" />
</path>
<target name="test">
<junit fork="no">
<classpath refid="classpath.test" />
<formatter type="brief" usefile="false" />
<test name="Test" />
</junit>
</target>
</project>
And my Test.java looks like this:
package com.org.test.data.mine.board;
import org.junit.Test;
public class Test {
#Test
public void testDummy() {
System.out.println("Hello");
}
}
And this keeps on failing with:
test:
[junit] Testsuite: Test
[junit] Tests run: 1, Failures: 0, Errors: 1, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 0 sec
[junit]
[junit] Null Test: Caused an ERROR

I looked through other SO posts but couldn't recognize the issue. Help!!
There is a problem in the way you have written name of your Test class. You need to modify your jUnit task to include FQCN like this:
<junit fork="no">
<classpath refid="classpath.test" />
<formatter type="brief" usefile="false" />
<test name="com.org.test.data.mine.board.Test" />
</junit>

I'm trying to execute a few junit test suits with ant.
Here's my folder structure
bin
lib
src
test
build.xml
First of all I compile all files in source location, later on java files in test folder.
Whole structure of test folder (compiled .class files) are saved in bin folder which looks like this inside.
bin-test-alltests
|
-suites - SetupSuite.class
- StartSuite.class
in allTests folder are tests that are used in suites in suites folder
I'm trying to start those suites but constantly I've got an error:
ant junit java.lang.noclassdeffounderror wrong name
I'm pretty sure that's something wrong with the class path but I don't know what. I've tried to changed
<test name="SetupSuite"/>
to
<test name="SetupSuite.class"/>
and I get another error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: SetupSuite.class
Here's my build.xml file

Solved. I had to add hamcrest-core-1.3.jar file to classpath
You need to set test name to full name of your SetupSuite:
<test name="alltests.suites.SetupSuite"/>

What fix pack are you currently on?
There is a similar defect which was fixed in v8.0.0.3:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PM50904
If you're below 8.0.0.3 then you may want to try and apply fix pack 3 or even the latest release (fix pack 9) to see if it helps.

I had the same error message trying to publish to Artifactory. It turned out I forgot to include the port 8081 in the URL.
what is your HTTP Server? Did you use Something like Artifactory?
If you are using Apache, the PUT operation is disabled by default (maybe the same for most Web servers). You'll have to enable it and associate a backend script to handle the query as expected (retrieving artifacts from query and saving them on file system).
I enable it using PHP, you can see how from my GitHub repository: https://github.com/opatry/ivy-frontend
if you are using Artifactory as your repository, check this out:
http://www.jfrog.com/confluence/display/RTF2X/Working+with+Ivy

After that, Arquillian adds the archive on the active instance of JBoss, but the deployment can't terminate its operations. I've also managed to raise the memory for the JVM, but it doesn't seem to work. If I remove the libs form the archive, the #Test method is passed correctly, but the Session bean i'd like to inject:
#Inject
LoginViewController loginViewController;
isn't resolved like it should.
Can anyone help to find why the exception occurs? Thanks in advance... any help is appreciated!
.addAsWebResource(EmptyAsset.INSTANCE, ArchivePaths.create("beans.xml"));
should be
.addAsWebInfResource(EmptyAsset.INSTANCE, ArchivePaths.create("beans.xml"));
