I need help opening links from Facebook.
I would like to create an HTML button that if clicked from Facebook mobile does not open the link on its browser, but is redirected directly to Chroome or the default mobile browser.
Can anybody help me?
So far I have tried this HTML code but it doesn't work properly.

I used the tag to link a pdf (which is stored in a folder in my website) with the attribute target="_blank", but it doesn't work on mobile devices (android)
My code:
Catalogue
This works just fine on desktop, it opens the pdf in a new tab of the browser, as it should with the attribute target="_blank".
HOWEVER, I tested this on mobile and the result was:
It works on iPhone using safari, BUT it doesn't work on Android using Google Chrome. Instead of opening the pdf in a new tab it automatically downloads the file.
Is there any way to change this behaviour?
I've also tried using target="about:blank" instead, but it didn't work
Try using the rel=”noopener” or rel=”noreferrer” link attributes for every link.
The rel=”noopener” link attribute prevents the linked site from receiving access to the original web page that is linking out. This prevents the linked site from taking control or otherwise influencing the linking site.
The rel=”noreferrer” link attribute hides the referrer information from the site that is being linked to. When a site visitor clicks a rel=”noreferrer” link, the site being linked to won’t know what site referred the visitor.
For example, if you code a link like this:
<a href="https://www.example.com/" target="_SEJ" rel="noreferrer">
The above link will open in a brand new browser tab.

Firefox Can’t Open This Page
To protect your security, www.facebook.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.
and on Chrome page show as below
This is how it looks on web page
I'm making a tutorial which involves recording my computer screen. I need to click a link that normally directs me to, say https://website.com/page. I want it to redirect me to https://website.com/another_page, which can be easily edited using Inspect Element.
However, when I click the link showing now another_page, I want the URL in browser (Firefox, Chrome) to still be https://website.com/page. Is that possible?
You could do fullscreen in which case the url wouldn't even show. I don't know if that would work with your screen recorder, but it's worth a try. You could also the edit the url directly at the top of your screen so that it shows https://website.com/page and move your keyboard focus away from it so that it appears that the url is https://website.com/page.
I have a Facebook Page and I have a website based on WordPress. I share links from my website to the Facebook page, but unfortunately, when I used the Facebook app on my mobile, the links do not open in Facebook in-app browser.
What should I do to solve this problem? Another link from another website is working correctly, but from my website, it's not opening.
This may or may not help, but try running your website though the Facebook debugger. You might also hit the Scrape Again button while you are there. Then see if your page open in the in-app browser.
So this is a weird problem, I am attempting to embed a video stream from a D-Link DCS-930L into a web page. My embed looks like this:
<img alt="" src="http://guest:password#192.0.0.10/video.cgi">
The problem is that Chrome displays a broken link image when I load the page, while Firefox and IE load it perfectly the first time.
But the really strange part is that if I right click on the broken image > Open link in new tab the stream loads, and then if I close the tab and refresh the page with the embed it loads there too! So it's definitely something to do with the username/password requirement.
I have also tried creating a user without a password but I see the same issue. There is no setting to disable this requirement in the 930L's control panel that I can find.
Does anyone know how to fix this? If not, is there a way to use PHP to execute a login automatically for the above kind of URLs?
This appears to be intentional behavior on Chrome's part since v19. Bummer.
