I can't find any mention of this on the internets, is it possible to use google maps satellite with mapboxgl? has anyone done it? we have an account with google maps but they never answer :(
According to the Google Maps Terms of Service section 3.2.4d
3.2.4 Restrictions Against Misusing the Services.
(d) No Use With Non-Google Maps. Customer will not use the Google Maps
Core Services in a Customer Application that contains a non-Google
map. For example, Customer will not (i) display Places listings on a
non-Google map, or (ii) display Street View imagery and non-Google
maps in the same Customer Application.
This also covers your inquiry as you will use the Google Maps Satellite Layer with other products outside of Google Maps APIs.
We want to develop a Vehicle Tracking System. We are designing a software using Python-Django and JavaScript Template. We are using google map. But it is free of cost. With the help if gmplot python package I am able to generate location on google map. If I want to further extend it to source and destination track information. Will it cost and if it is then on what basis? I have checked the Google API on google developers site. But not able to understand the pricing plans. Can you provide simple explanation about using google maps in our web applications?

When I search "able pest management" on Google Maps web, i get a result but when I do it on Google API Place Autocomplete, it gives me no result. My client is concerned on the discrepancies.
I want to integrate google map into my website which locate only my stores from city typed by visitors.
For example, let's say i'm integrating for kfc. so if any visitor enters any city it will locate all the kfc store location in that city.

I'm developing an iPhone app that uses a map and show direction between two points on the map, the problem is i cant use the Google maps because it does not support street naming in my country, so instead I'm using CloudMade maps.
The question is can i still query Google servers with direction requests and use the results on the CloudMade map? Is the Google license allows it?
According to Google's terms of service you cannot place any content obtained from Google's service on any other map without written permission from Google.
10.1.1
(g) No Use of Content without a Google Map. You must not use or
display the Content without a corresponding Google map, unless you are
explicitly permitted to do so in the Maps APIs Documentation, or
through written permission from Google. For example, you must not use
geocodes obtained through the Service except in conjunction with a
Google map, but you may display Street View imagery without a
corresponding Google map because the Maps APIs Documentation
explicitly permits you to do so.
I would contact Google, they may be able to work with you in your situation.

An here is the Google premier sales contact information. I don't think you would need to obtain a premier license (they are expensive) with the information you provided about your app but the sales representative may be able to point you in the right direction.
