How to split a table into multiple in Microsoft Acess - ms-access

I am trying to split one table into multiple in an Access database. For example, I have a single table containing multiple invoices and want to separate it into different tables per invoice. Each invoice is separated by a space of about 8 cells and is in a vertical format, meaning I cannot use the analyzer to just separate the fields into different tables as each field represents a column in all invoices. What can i do in this case?

Subtables in MS Access

I am working on a database that has one main table with the entry rows having an individual table for calculations.
So I have about 9 tables that have calculations /values in that are associated with an individual indicator field entry in my main table. I would like to link the calculation tables to the individual entry.
The subdatasheet allows me to do this. However, it populates all the entries with the same table which I do not want as one calculation table is only associated to one entry.
I can’t create one table for all calculations as they have different types of data and are calculated differently so I can’t link with regards to relationships.
The only solution I can think of is by populating a new field called “results calculations” and populate it with the title of the calculation table associated to the individual entry.
Is there another way I would love all the data to be as accessible in one table as simplified as possible.
(I am new to MS Access so any advice will be appreciated.)

is it possible with html to specify table/grid organized by columns?

I have a table/grid with two columns and I want to be able to add/remove rows from each column. Currently I'm using a regular table and if I want to add a cell to the left column, I have to go through each of the rows and move the data from all the other cells in that column down in the subsequent rows.
I was wondering if there was a way either with tables or css-tables to organize by data by column and then just add/subtract rows/divs from the appropriate column grouping and not have to deal with visual rows.

use two different datasets in single report

I have two different-2 datasets with different fileds which are getting populated through two stored procedures with same input parameters.each datsets have different colums and no of columns around 180,my concern is how will i use these two different datsets in single report with two differents fields(two differnt tables).for one dataset i have used report wizard, but not able to figure out for the second dataset. Please suggest for the same..
You can use two different datasets in different reports regions on one Report. For example, If you have two datasets, lets say DS1 showing EmployeeDetail and DS2 showing SalesInfo. You can use them separately in two tables one showing Employees Details and other showing Sales Info. If you plan to merge this data and use it in one table, These are option.
Recommended option : Re-write your query to create single dataset containing possible data you want to show in tabular fashion.
Would work but would be lot slower : Use DS1 in a table in Main Report where each row contains Epmloyee Detail, Wihtin that Row call a Sub-Report passing EmployeeDetail's key which is related to a column in SalesInfo. Create sub-report showing SaledInfo data, call this report in main report passing key value from DS1 to this sub-report.
Specify data set name in third column
Example:
=First(Fields!fieldname.Value,"DataSet1")
Using two different or multiple datasets in a report is not a problem at all, as long as they do not belong to the same data region (charts, tables, etc.)
In addition to Ron's answer, if you are looking to get data from different datasets in one data region, you could also use Lookup or LookupSet in the field expressions.
Additionally, you may also create one dataset and filter out some data from it in data regions. For example, if you have one big dataset of all employees, and you would like to display all employees that joined in the year 2012 in a table, you could filter out the dataset using Filter properties of table.
You can simply add multiple table in your report , and change datasetName from tablix properties for each of your table .
you will also need binding source to fill that dataset .
this.invoiceTableAdapter.Fill(this.ARQutationDataSet.invoice);

How to create a flatfile from a series of tables in Access?

I have a series of tables in an Access 2007 database. I am trying to find a way of outputting a flat-file to an excel spreadsheet that combines all of the tables so that each row of the flatfile represents a unique combination of the table rows from each table.
For example, these tables:
Would combine to make this output table:
The challenges I'm facing are:
The 'input' tables can vary in number of rows and columns, as well as quantity
The total number of rows in the final output table can get quite large (200,000+ rows)
I know Excel and VBA (in Excel) well but almost nothing about Access
Is there a way to do this in Access? Is there some native functionality in Access that I'm completely overlooking? Any pointers (even if it's "you need to read into X and Y") would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Adam
As noted above:
Create a new query. Select your 3 tables as the data sources. If desired, set up joins between tables by dragging a line between a field in one table to a field in another. Without joins you will get a Cartesian Product ... every from 1st table paired with every row of 2nd table, and then each of those combination paired with every row of 3rd table. Select the fields you want included in the result set. When the query returns what you need, save it and give it a name. Then you can export that named query to Excel.
If the table is large, you could hit Excel's row / column limit though.

Getting the value present in table 1 to table2

I am trying to develop a report having two tables with one single data set.each table is filtered with the user giving a date parameter. is there any way that I can get the value present in a text of table1 into the table 2.
If you have a report with two table objects in it, both of which point at the same dataset, then all of the data in either table will be available in the other table - the only reason that one value would be available in one table but not the other is if the tables have different filter conditions. Therefore, you may need to amend the filter conditions.
