I'm connecting to the internet using a Proxy server. I already set the manual proxy setup with my IP address and the port. Now the issue is when I'm browsing on the internet chrome requires proxy username and password. I remember my proxy username and password but to enter those the popup window is not popping up. In Console I have this error and browser window is keep refreshing continuously with blank window.
Is there any way I can give proxy server username and password from Chrome settings? This happens only in chrome non incognito mode. I tried with Incognito mode, it asks the proxy username and password and thereafter everything working perfectly,
Note: This was listed in 2009 as a bug but I didn't found any solution to this https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=6666
Since there is no answer over the internet, I will post the way I solved the issue. Actually this is not the proper way to solve the issue but at least you can connect to the internet using this method.
Proxy authentication details are stored some ware in your chrome account which associated with your email. After struggling few hours, what I did was, login to the chrome with another email so here it wont affect the settings on the previous Gmail account. Thereafter it asks the proxy username and password.
Note: Don't click the Never button if dialogue box pops up and ask to store the username and password.
I hope this will help for someone in future.

Just incase this helps anyone else it turns out this was a proxy issue and just had to allow localhost:8888 to 'Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains' just enter localhost:8888 into the text box!
I have met the same problem when I developed a web project with struts.
If you are using proxy(Global Mode) to search API on the Internet in Chrome. You should turn "Global Mode" to "Auto Proxy Mode" to deal with it.
I'm running Google Chrome on Windows 10, latest editions. Chrome refuses to open any pages, returning "Aw snap" error messages. To resolve this I've:
Removed all extensions.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome.
Tried Chrome on a different user.
Ran Chrome Cleanup Tool.
Deleted my Google folder in Appdata.
Incognito pages don't work either.
None of these worked. Firefox at all times is working perfectly so its not an internet problem.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Please follow below steps, to resolve "Aw snap" error messages with Chrome browser.
Steps To Resolve:
Go to Chrome shortcut in the Desktop (If not exists create one)
Right click -> Properties
In the target field, At the end add a space followed by the below -no-sandbox
Apply-Ok
Launch chrome using the shortcut
Follow the below steps

go to details tab
kill all the chrome process

It is likely that malware is trying (and failing) to modify the page that is loading. I've also seen this as a symptom of machines that had nasty redirect malware removed, as the redirects that the malware creates no longer have anywhere to resolve.
I highly recommend a fresh Windows 10 install, only way to be sure you're fully free of whatever may have infected your current Windows installation.
I am trying to run UI tests on Selenium. The website runs on SSL. When using Chromedriver, after login, the page keeps on loading and shows "Establishing secure connection" and then eventually times out. Chrome also shows the yellow triangle before the URL in the browser. However, I don't see the yellow triangle when I log into the website using Chrome outside of this. I further noticed that the standard settings in Chrome are not the same as the Chrome instance that opens up when Chromedriver fires it, not sure why.
Can someone tell me what might be going on here and how I can fix the issue?
It may be chromedriver issue. Try to downgrade it. Version 2.12 helped us with similar problem.

My Google Chrome has stopped working & I don’t know why. proxy server part is unchecked & Automatically detect settings part of LAN setting is checked.
But when I want to load any site on it this message appear:
Proxy server connection failed.
I searched but no result! Is there any way to solve this problem?
I'm using windows 8.
I uninstalled chrome and Install a newer version, but the same error exists & doesn't allow me to use chrome.
my connection to Internet is OK & I can ping www.google.com, or use other browsers.
Try following these steps:
Run Chrome as Administrator.
Go to the settings in Chrome.
Go to Advanced Settings (its all the way down).
Scroll to Network Section and click on ''Change proxy settings''.
A window will pop up with the name ''Internet Properties''
Click on ''LAN settings''
Un-check ''Use a proxy server for your LAN''
Check ''Automatically detect settings''
Click everything ''OK'' and you are done!
Open Google Chrome.
Click Menu on the upper right side. Beside the STAR symbol (Bookmark).
Click Show Advanced Settings.
Scroll down and find Network.
Click Change proxy settings.
On the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Then click OK.
Hope it helps .
I had the same problem with a freshly installed copy of Chrome.
If nothing works, and your Use a proxy server your LAN setting is unchecked, check it and then uncheck it . Believe it or not it might work. I don't know if I should consider it a bug or not.
Internet explorer has a reset to factory button and luckily so does chrome! try the link below and let us know. the other option is to stop chrome and delete the c:\users\%username%\appdata\local\google folder entirely then reinstall chrome but this will loose all you local settings and data.
Google doc on how to factory reset:
