How do I fix the position of my flex box images? - html

Im having issues with aligning my 6 images in 2 rows of 3. - 1, 2, 3
4, 5, 6
At the moment they are in 3 rows. The first 2 images are in the centre of the page, while the others are all on the 3rd line. Not sure if its an issue with the div tags or the css. Im using flexbox at the moment but I know theres also grid layout
Please can you advise? Thanks very much

You forgot to close your a inside your button. Also, as mentioned in the comments you cannot have an img as a direct child to a ul that is not nested in a li. So I nested it in a li and removed the default padding-inline-start to keep the same structure. Then I went down to your rows and simplified it so it is two rows of 3 as requested. Please see how I simplified the rows below:

I cannot align the footer to the right

I would like to know if someone could help me with a CSS topic.
I am creating a page model through CSS, but it turns out that there is a part that does not stay the same as the rest.
It appears as follows:
enter image description here
And it should look like this, like the footer in the following image.
Do you suggest any ideas? I leave here the code that I have used for CSS.
enter image description here
I attach the HTML and CSS code used.
I tried to move the height and width but can't find the solution.

Thanks!
Try to use flexbox it's very helpful.
the rendering you request can be done simply this way
<div class="flex">
<div class="ll">Menu</div>
<div class="ll">Map</div>
<div class="ll">Footer</div>
</div>
div.ll {
background: #fff;
margin: 20 auto;
width: 200px;
padding: 50px;
text-align: center;
}
div.flex {
display: flex;
}
You can test it by using sandbox
Instead of a footer, try creating a <div> or <section> and align that to the right.

I cannot align paragraphs with images, but links will align perfectly without much intervention

I am trying to write my contact page, it's for a personal website that I write as part of a project for school. I am trying to display little logos of certain social media sites, and my profile name/mail address next to the images. I have set up an unordered vertical list, I have elements for each individual < li > tag and here comes the problem: Facebook, for example, works fine. The logo is there, and a link to my profile next to it, with the text perfectly aligned vertically right in the center. The problem comes with paragraphs. For my Yahoo Mail address, for example, I cannot provide a link to my profile, so I instead just write my address as simple text between < p >< /p > tags. This text will not align. I don't know what to do. I've been trying stuff out and looking for solutions all over the internet for hours and nothing works. I do admit my HTML and CSS experience is very limited, but please help me. I will attach both my HTML code and the CSS file and I hope someone will take the time to see how they render and maybe help me out. Thanks in advance!

How it looks like now
You can provide a link for your Yahoo email address using mailto:youremail#address.com.
See: https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_links_mailto
Your snippet of code for that li would then be:
<li>
<div class="navlink">
<div class="img">
<a href="https://twitter.com/mateiutz2001" target="_blank">
<img class="image" src="img/contact-pg/yahoomaillogo.jpg" alt="Logo Yahoo Mail"></a>
</div>
alex.matei1808#yahoo.com

</li>

Just add
.image {
float: left;
}
and remove the float from this
#about_team {
/* float:left; */
margin: auto;
height:400px;
padding-top:37px;
padding-left:20px;
}
You can use CSS Flexbox. Make your three .image divs wrap under a parent div (.image-block - in my case).
Look at this Codepen
Something like this:
.image-block {
display: flex;
justify-content: center;
}
.image {
margin-right: 10px;
text-align: center;
}
<div class="image-block">
<div class="image">
<img src="http://placehold.it/200x200" alt="Alex Morrales" width="150" height="150">
<p>Alex Morrales</p>
</div>
<div class="image">
<img src="http://placehold.it/200x200" alt="David Kim" width="150" height="150">
<p>David Kim</p>
</div>
<div class="image">
<img src="http://placehold.it/200x200" alt="Jenny Tabers" width="150" height="150">
<p>Jenny</p>
</div>
</div>
Hope this helps!
Add width: 3 times (imageWidth+margin) into #about_team and add width: 150px and display: inline-block into .image. font-size: 0 in #about_team is to remove space between inline-block element, and you need to restore the size in the .image.
#about_team {
width: 480px;
float: right;
font-size: 0;
}
#about_team .image{
display: inline-block;
width: 150px;
margin-right: 10px;
font-size: 14px;
}

Anchor tags not working

I have a few anchor tags in my html that for some reason aren't working. As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the code so I am completely at a loss. Maybe I need a fresh pair of eyes to look it over to see if there is something obvious that I am missing? This website is not loaded onto a server yet but here is the code I am having issues with.

Fiddle, they seem to actually be working, as in they are all working links.
<div class="social-media">
<img src="images/facebook.png">
<img src="images/twitter.png">
<img src="images/yelp.png">
</div>
</div>
Ok so I had a co-worker fix this issue. changed the position to relative and added a z-index of 20. Now they are working!

Centering images with text as menu

Im trying to put together some images together with an text under the images which will work as an menu, which should be centered horizontal under an header. The website is supposed to work as an responsive website. The HTML and CSS code is currently looking like this:
Edited
I want 5 images, each one of them shall have a text under them. And I want the my images together with the text to be centered.
HTML
<nav>
<div id="content">
<img src="ikoner/icon_90_2.png"/>
<div class="text">Utvecklingen sedan 90-talet</div>
</div>
<div id="content">
<img src="ikoner/icon_html5.png"/>
<div class="text">HTML5</div>
</div>
<div id="content">
<img src="ikoner/icon_html5video.png"/>
<div class="text">HTML5 Video</div>
</div>
<div id="content">
>img src="ikoner/icon_responsive.png"/>
<div class="text">Responsive Webdesign</div>
</div>
<div id="content">
<img src="ikoner/icon_heart.png"/>
<div class="text">Emotional Design</div>
</div>
</nav>
CSS
#content {
position: relative;
width: 15%;
display: inline-block;
text-align: center;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
#content img {
padding-top: 370px;
width: 100px;
}
.text {
font-size: 12px;
font-family: 'ciclethin';
text-decoration: none;
}
You're not aligning your "Nav" div anywhere.
So, I've changed the id="content" to classes, because IDs should be unique to the page.
Set nav element to text-align:center. Here's a fiddle, and the relevant code:
http://jsfiddle.net/cw16tkdn/2/
<nav>
<div class="content">
<img src="http://placekitten.com/g/200/200" />
<div class="text">Utvecklingen sedan 90-talet
</div>
</div>
<div class="content">
<img src="http://placekitten.com/g/200/200" />
<div class="text">HTML5
</div>
</div>
<div class="content">
<img src="http://placekitten.com/g/200/200" />
<div class="text">HTML5 Video
</div>
</div>
<div class="content">
<img src="http://placekitten.com/g/200/200" />
<div class="text">Responsive Webdesign
</div>
</div>
<div class="content">
<img src="http://placekitten.com/g/200/200" />
<div class="text">Emotional Design
</div>
</div>
</nav>
and CSS:
nav {
text-align:center;
}
.content {
display: inline-block;
text-align: center;
}
.content img {
width: 100px;
}
.text {
font-size: 12px;
font-family:'ciclethin';
text-decoration: none;
}
maybe you want this: (i have changed id=content with class=content in html code!)
.content {
position: relative;
width: 100px;
display: inline-block;
height: 520px;
text-align: center;
vertical-align:bottom;
}
.content img {
padding-top: 370px;
width: 100px;
display:block;
margin: auto;
}
.text a {
font-size: 12px;
font-family: 'ciclethin';
text-decoration: none;
}
.text {
height: 3em;
}
