Chrome: page loading is slow until DevTools(F12) shows - google-chrome

My env: Chrome 96.0.4664.110 (Official Build) (64-bit) on windows 10
When I open a link in a new page, the page loading is very slow. I can see the loading icon is running but the page keeps blank for a long time(10 seconds or more).
But when I press F12 to show the DevTools window, the page content loads immediately.
So what is the problem, and how to fix it? Many thanks

Same problem for me, finally I realised that it was activated Throttling under the Network tab, and it was selected "Slow 3G" mode, don't know how it has been activated. As you can see there is an alert icon with the Network tab name

DevTools causing browser to freeze

I have some weird thing going on in my machine. When loading a specific website at work and opening the Chrome devtools, the website's tab gets frozen, Chrome task manager shows > 100% CPU usage and all is frozen and unusable.
I’ve tried the following, none worked:
Disabled all extensions
Cleared cookies
Restarted Chrome
When loading the same URL with devtools in Incognito mode, all is splendidly working and smooth as butter.
What can be the problem here? I'm using Chrome version 79.0.3945.130, which is currently the latest

Chrome Dev tools stuck at retrieving timeline

I am not sure what the problem is here, but I am unable to record timeline in chrome devtool. I click on the start recording icon, and when I stop it, it just keeps saying retrieving timeline.
Chrome Version: 50.0.2661.102 (64-bit)
Operating System: OSX
I tried incognito and also deleted all my /Application Support/Google/Chrome files. Nothing worked.
Just reload it! If you are on a windows/apple computer then press f5. If you are on a chromebook press f3 (or the reload looking button) or You can look on the top left and press the reload button it.
I hope this works for you

Chrome tabs auto refreshing everytime on desktop

The chrome tabs auto refreshes every time when I go to the tab and its turning out to be really annoying. Any fix?
I was able to resolve this inside Chrome Version 48.0 (Running on Windows 7) by performing the following steps.
1.) Open the Chrome browser and navigate to chrome://flags
2.) Search on the page for "Enable tab discarding"
3.) Set this flag to "Disabled"
4.) Restart Chrome.
Chrome will do that when you are low on memory. If you have a lot of programs open, try closing some of them out.

Chrome Dev Tools - Emulation View keeps showing on open

EVerytime i press F12 to open the Dev Tools on Chrome, i get the stupid emulation panel
I also go into the Settings and Overrides, and uncheck the Show Emulation View in console drawer, and then reload the page, and it still keeps showing up.
It was a bug and it has been fixed, so please wait for the next update.

Chrome emulator tab defaulted on refresh

With Chrome 32.0.1700.77 the new emulator tab is handy except it's the default tab when I refresh my page.
During my standard development workflow, I constantly refresh the page when I make changes. I usually have the console window open at the bottom of the network or source views. But every single time I refresh the page, the Emulators tab takes focus and I can't see the console.
This is truly annoying since the app will fail because of a simple JavaScript typo, but I can't see the console without clicking one more time (to focus the console tab).
Has anyone found a workaround for this?
Combined with the Chrome Developer Tools unresponsive since update 32.0.1700.76 m issue, I would have to say Google really tripped up this release.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a workaround yet. It looks like there has been a bug reported to Google as found on this thread, but no fix has come about yet.
I think the only way (right now) to prevent the console tab from being hidden when needed is to avoid using the emulator or revert to a previous version of Chrome.
Hopefully a fix comes soon!
It's been a while since this post was made, but I came across the same issue recently. When you have the developer toolbar open, the phone icon beside the "Elements" tab should be blue. Clicking that will disable Emulation.
