How can I get "Event Name & Method Name" via Polygonscan API? - ethereum

Currently, the company which I am working in, they want to make a statistics system for P2E games which have (or will have) ERC-20 tokens based on Polygon.
I have to accumulate the logs came from blockchain networks and game servers to know how much tokens players earn/spend, and the productivity of each contents/activities.
So, I need to get "The event name & method name" from polygonscan API. unfortunately, Polygonscan API just offer "Transfer Logs" only instead of offering all of logs.
https://docs.polygonscan.com/api-endpoints/accounts#get-a-list-of-erc-20-token-transfer-events-by-address
I found this api will return results with "Input" column. but it has just "deprecated" as value. is there any way to get what I want?
I choose "ethereum" as tags instead of "polygon" if I disturb you, I apologize this. I think ethereum has similar system with polygon because Polygon is based on Ethereum. and, the "Polygon" tags, as you know, it is for "3D rendering" not for crypto coins.

Geocoding From Google Sheets Data

I have a Google Form where I'm taking inputs from my high school classmates & teachers to buildup a google map where I'll make a "Network Map"(as I call it). I've 2 columns in the connected Spreadsheet named as "District" and "Thana" (in Bangladeshi format).
I need to merge those 2 columns into a new one named "Full Adress", then I need to Geocode this column to get an approximately correct location of my schoolmates or teachers. Also, I need to share the created map with the respondents of my "Google Forms" so that they can see that map easily from their "Google Map" app in any kinds of device.
I don't know how to geocode or I don't have any idea about it.
Can I get some important resources/platforms to do this task efficiently without paying anything?
(Special note: I have to handle about 2k+ data in that Sheet.)
In addition to #My Routes' answer and to set the correct expectation, the Maps for Sheets should accomplish your Geocoding problems (as mentioned by #My Routes). But please keep in mind that you should use an API key that associated in to a project that has an active billing account. This is not a free service but once you enable billing, you are given free $200 monthly credits.

What if I have no results to display on a map after calling Google Distance Matrix API

I would like to develop a service, using Google Distance Matrix API, where a user can enter their current location and a map will be displayed showing how many other users from their group have addresses in the same general area. For privacy reasons, I do not want to show any other details (location, name, address etc.) of those other users just the number of people.
In order to ascertain this information I was intending to make a call to the API and displaying under the map of their area a message like "There are 5 other people within a 3 minute drive of your address".
Can anybody tell me whether this meets the API limitation:
The Google Maps Distance Matrix API may only be used in conjunction with displaying results on a Google map. It is prohibited to use Google Maps Distance Matrix API data without displaying a Google map
If my requirements of the API are not acceptable, could anybody suggest another publicly available API that I could use in its place?
Thanks!
Yournavigation Api gives you distance from given points.
Try this request example.
You can find their usage policy here.
They said that there are no limitations on usage, except those regarding overload:
The routing API is open and freely available for everyone under the condition that you don't overload the server. Overloading the server in this context means: more then 1 request per second for sustained periods of time. Bursting multiple requests for short time-periods is not a problem though

Google Map Calls - Prevent Mischief Calls to API driving up usage costs

I have an application that currently uses google maps and address search. I am about to switch to a higher tier of usage, but wanted to know what safeguards (if any) are in place to prevent a mischievous party from flooding the API call with my API key, therefore running up my usage numbers (even though it is not legitimate).
I know that google has some control in place where the user has to answer a captcha if google detects too much traffic coming from a certain IP address. In this case, would this help prevent the issue? If so, what is the rate at which someone could still hammer google with my API key?
You can set rate limits (per user) in the API console, for each API.

Google myBuisness data propagation issue with Google Maps, no placeID for buisness profile

I need a placeID, for our business, so I can make api calls.
Business name: Maler-Teamet.dk
Address: Engkær 15, 2650 Hvidovre, Danmark
Address-placeID: ChIJCYGE6K5WUkYRVxTvbfHLWd8
I have a piece of working javascript code, that I'm using to extract reviews of another business, in a test environment, from the Google Places/Maps api, using placeID, and displaying them on a webpage.
After updating our Google myBusiness profile, with the assistance of the Google support, who actually made most of the changes. We, and Google myBusiness, are no longer able to find the business on Google Maps, and therefore retrieve a placeID.
Using normal Google search, the myBusiness profile never displays either. I'm actually really concerned how this might be affecting seo and rankings.
When including either Hvidovre or Engkær in the seach, it does display correctly, and the business profile has a map on it, that links to the business profile on maps, which seems to be registered to the city address only, Hvidovre. This doesn't get any results in placeID finder either though. But the profile is there somewhere then.
Using f.ex the Google placeID finder with our company name, returns no autocomplete, or results. If I use the address registered on our profile, I do get a placeID, but our business is not registered on that placeID, when I make api calls.
With support from Google's myBuisness department, Google has been able to identify that there is an issue, and they have reported the issue on, internally. The reference number for the case is 2-8475000011449.
They have not been able to support the part of the issue related to the Maps/Places Api, or give me a timeline for resolving the issue, since Maps is a different department/branch related to the developers console.
Since technical support through the developers console, apparently requires a premium subscription, I have attempted to contact the sales department, to confirm that I need to pay more than 400$ to report this issue, and create what they call a P1 support case, as I understand it.
Since explaining the issue in a reply, I have actually not heard from them in 4 days now. Despite numerous attempts on my behalf.
Since the only other option Google myBusiness support was able to give was, to report the issue here with the tags google-places-api and google-maps and cross my fingers, I guess I'm hoping the right persons find this.
I looked into your issue and was able to find your business place ID. The place ID related to Maler-Teamet.dk is ChIJ91ouygNUUkYRCPVhhABpMMk.
However, as I can see this place has a service area information. Please note that "Service Area Business" results do not appear in Places API. Typically, these businesses don't have an exact location, but rather their service area. That's why they are excluded from the search.
I can suggest keeping in touch with Google My Business team and changing this business to not "Service Area Business".

Region Biasing with Google Maps

My users, who may be located anywhere in the world, will be presented with a text box wherein they can enter their address. In most cases, I assume they will physically be in the same country as whatever address they are typing.
I'd like to help Google Map API make better guesses by doing region biasing. Is there a way to tell Google to region bias from where the request is being made? Or how can I give that information to Google when I make the web service call (e.g. convert IP address to country information)?
Thanks.
The last time I checked, the "region bias" for both the client-side and the server-side Google Geocoder was not reliable. Check out this post from last April (tested again right now, and the issue persists):
Google's Geocoder returns wrong country
The most reliable way that I found is to append the country at the end of the address. Therefore if the user is located in the UK, and types "Oxford Street London", you'd attach ", UK" to the address for geocoding.
To get the country of the user, there are quite a few solutions. You could use the Geolocation API as #You suggested in the other answer, or you may want to use a third party IP-to-location service. You may want to check out MaxMind GeoLite City service, which is free, and is reportedly 99.5% accurate on a country level.
In modern browsers you can use the HTML5 Geolocation API as described in Dive Into HTML5. This assumes client-side support and that you're making the requests client-side. For a server-side (or fallback) solution, you could try something like the PHP Geo IP functions.
