The "LIVE" badge on tvOS 15 UI - tvos

I learnt that tvOS 15's playback has a new red "LIVE" badge upon title view. The LIVE badge appears when the video is streaming.
However, how does it know the video is live streaming and manage to display the badge? Is the information which defines Live streaming included in metadata?
I watched WWDC 21 and read an official document but couldn't find the answer.
LIVE badge

I figured out this question by discussing with co-working engineers and reading the HLS document: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8216#section-4.3.2.6
It seems that there's a m3u8 tag EXT-X-PLAYLIST, which defines whether the content is LIVE.
If this tag has a specific event value doesn't have a value, it's defined LIVE.

How to post a video in an ifram to facebook? [duplicate]

When something is shared from youtube to facebook, facebook is now showing the youtube html5 player.
If you look up one of their urls (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuS5ZyQhvsk) in the open graph debugger you can see that they are now providing open graph meta data for their html player as well as the flash one.
I also have a player that sits in an iframe, and am now including the same tags that youtube is, minus the flash ones as we don't have a flash player, but it isn't working and facebook is giving me this error which doesn't make sense:
Share has playable media but will not play inline because it would cause a mixed content warning if embedded. Add a secure_src or make the video src secure to fix this.
This is the information facebook is reading:
This is the url as an example that is generating that error: https://www.la1tv.co.uk/player/124/260
All I can think is that Facebook has made some kind of deal with youtube and this isn't available for everyone yet, but that isn't clear from that error.
All of the content on our site is served over https.
Anyone know what's going on or got this working?
I can't find any documentation anywhere on facebook how to do this.
I posted a similar question a while back when I was trying to get this working but at this time youtube was still only providing the flash player to facebook.
It looks like someone else was having a similar issue here.
According to WizKid this is currently in a trial period for YouTube and hopefully will be rolled out to everyone at a future date.

Embedding html5 video with opengraph on facebook

I have built a web site for our student tv station and the concept is pretty similar to youtube. We would like for our videos to be playable directly in facebook when shared, with the videos themselves still hosted on our server and our stats being updated.
The player on the site uses videojs and is all working with the html5 video tag. There is also an embeddable version of the player that can run in an iframe. Ideally I'd like this to be used on facebook but don't think it's possible. This is what I've attempted at the moment with the og:video:type value set to text/html and og:video set to the embeddable player url and it doesn't appear to work. Here is an example page, and here is the embeddable player for it.
The only other ways I've seen is to specify a url to the video file, or a url to a flash player.
All of our videos are rendered at different qualities/resolutions and on our site and embeddable player there is a quality selection bar that changes the video url in the player. However it looks like with opengraph and facebook there is no way of giving it the urls to the different qualities or having the user pick the one they want on facebook, meaning we're stuck with forcing everyone to watch at one of the qualities. Is this right?
So then the only other option that appears to be available is building a custom flash player which has quality selection built into it. From what I can tell this is what youtube is doing. Is this the only option though because I don't want to build a custom flash player for Facebook to then decide in a few months that they're not supporting flash anymore?
I realise similar questions have been asked already but I couldn't find a definite answer and some of them were over a year old.
Thanks.
Facebook is currently trialing iframes with YouTube. Hopefully the support will be rolled out to everyone soon.

embed quiz into html5 video - cue points in a rich customizable player

Coursera has these interactive questions in the middle of their video lecture
how could I go about implementing this myself,
or better yet, does this feature exist for public use somewhere?
Furthermore, I'm trying to decide which HTML5 video player / platform to invest in and the key criteria would be feature-rich (so as to not reinvent the wheel / spend lots of time implementing video player features) as well as highly customizable (for those custom needs).
I.e. which player should I use to get the quiz up,
but in the near future I would also need to add the speed feature that Coursera has
I need Closed Captions support
and would like to overlay slides every now and then
plus all the expected features of switching between different source resolutions (360p, 720p etc), it should work in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Android and iOS native browsers etc
Candidates
In terms of customizability and feature-set, SublimeVideo seems to come on top, but I don't know when they will support subtitles.
Haven't researched Flowplayer much, would that be better for my purposes?
Jwplayer is good for all the standard features, and includes subtitle support, but I haven't really seen any plug-ins, aesthetic skinning aside, deep customization does not really seem to be their focus / strength?
Or videojs
Or something else yet ?
Flowplayer and Jwplayer are amazing players and you could do what you want, but in the free version you can't remove their branding. I try to stick to opensource projects you you don't worry about licenses.
I've done something similar as you need with Mediaelementjs. It supports all you need at the moment, and they will support the variable speed at some point on the future as announced in their website. However it has been like that for more than a year now since I started watching, so probably your "near future" is before their "coming soon".
I think your best free option will be Videojs. They also support all you need. For the variable speed there is this plugin.
Basically you set up a listener in the timeupdate event, and when it reaches the point that you need, you attach the quiz html to overlay the video area.
I have used flowplayer extensively. I'm just now starting to dive more into their new HTML5 version. The licensing for flowplayer is reasonable. It does have a plugin for doing subtitles and the cue point functionality works great. I also like that they have the Flash version that works well for fallback and I still use it for rtmp streaming.
I have built a video presenter with synchronized slides using the flash version which I'll be changing over to have an HTML5 version. I use it to produce speaker videos with Powerpoint presentations. Sometimes we have surveys (live) so I have also been planning to build in the option for a survey slide.
You can take a look at what I have built as an example here (it has some lose ends). Example synchronized video slide presentation (I have no affiliation with Flowplayer. WebVideoDesk, branded on the linked page, is a service I am planning to launch someday.)

Load only audio from youtube in as3

Is it possible to load only the audio from YouTube into my AS3 flash custom player through youtube AS3 api?
I want to load it into a sound object and then assign it to a sound channel.
I would like to know if there is an "official" way to do this, I'd like to avoid improvising (like loading the whole stream and then use only the audio).
Thank you.
I suggest you read the YouTube terms of service carefully:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms
In particular, you may not "promote separately the audio or video components of any YouTube audiovisual content made available through the YouTube API".
Doing so in any way (such as moving the video off stage) is likely to have your site blocked for playbacks by YouTube for breach of terms of service.
NB: YouTube manages to provide the service it does through advertising on top of video content. Separating the content like this prevents YouTube from making any money from the service it is providing.
If you use it for private usage, its okay I guess.
After some research work with different APIs and libraries and researching source code, I just tried it by myself and wolla.
Just saying, audio only links are in the page source of each video.
You just have to know what you are looking for ;)
Open a youtube video, view page source and search for "mime%3Daudio". There should be 5 matches, full url for example:
"https%3A%2F%2Fr2---sn-35cxanpbo5a-8pxl.googlevideo.com%2Fvideoplayback%3Fsource%3Dyoutube%26signature%3D30EC556F55533FBFD9003767730D10556681F33A.B12E021CA54CCB9E225F58A4430E9BB528081FB5%26requiressl%3Dyes%26expire%3D1527306011%26clen%3D3064602%26initcwndbps%3D1152500%26ipbits%3D0%26mime%3Daudio%252Fmp4%26dur%3D192.911%26fvip%3D5%26lmt%3D1524946334873350%26key%3Dyt6%26sparams%3Dclen%252Cdur%252Cei%252Cgir%252Cid%252Cinitcwndbps%252Cip%252Cipbits%252Citag%252Ckeepalive%252Clmt%252Cmime%252Cmm%252Cmn%252Cms%252Cmv%252Cpl%252Crequiressl%252Csource%252Cexpire%26itag%3D140%26gir%3Dyes%26ip%3D81.217.53.239%26id%3Do-ALNxMeQYw4LLc1FAjxt4h795wKTdqJnzc_SBgzEJVBxR%26c%3DWEB%26keepalive%3Dyes%26mm%3D31%252C29%26mn%3Dsn-35cxanpbo5a-8pxl%252Csn-2gb7sn7r%26ei%3Du4IIW7DfC46rgAfrrpnICw%26ms%3Dau%252Crdu%26mt%3D1527284230%26pl%3D16%26mv%3Dm"
