In the picture below you can see that my Skills text is in the section where it is not supposed to be which is the home-section
In the above picture, you can see that Skills has appeared in the section of the home. Note that I used Bootstrap row to style my content

.personal-photo{

The image has a display property of 'absolute'. MDN.
It may need more of a margin to avoid covering up the text, but you're probably better off using a different way to position the image instead of using absolute.

Bootstrap: whitespace on the right side of navbar brand?

I'm using Bootstrap for my navigation bar, and somehow I keep getting whitespace on the right side of the logo image. My navigation code looks like this:
.navbar {
background-color: white;
opacity: 80%;
font-size: 0.8em;
}
.nav-link a {
color: black;
}
.nav-item img {
width: 110px;
margin-top: 8px;
margin-left: 10px;
margin-right: 20px;
}
.nav-item a {
color: black;
}
.navButtons {
background-color: white;
color: black;
padding: 6px;
font-size: 12px;
}
.navButtons:hover {
color: black;
text-decoration: none;
}

And this is what my logo looks like, the yellow part is where I want to get rid of. I tried changing the padding, margin, and width, but none worked.:
In your Example the Anchor tag is is a block element/parent container of the image.
Apply width and padding-right(if required) to the navbar-brand.
Then instead of adding 50% width make it 100% to the img tag inside.
This will fix your issue.
Example Code (last two lines) in CSS then tag:
.navbar-brand {
display: inline-block;
padding-top: .3125rem;
padding-bottom: .3125rem;
margin-right: 1rem;
font-size: 1.25rem;
line-height: inherit;
white-space: nowrap;
width: 300px;
padding-right: 50px;
}
<img src="https://via.placeholder.com/468x60?text=Visit+Blogging.com+Now" alt="logo" style="width: 100%;">

Bootstrap 4, make second column content change depending where have we scrolled on 1st column

I have 2 columns in one row, one is for main content and second one next to it is for code preview for that main content, what I want to do is that second column would switch content that I set to once I scroll down to specific part of column one. The column one in this code is the white one where the content is suppsed to be, and the dark column is where the code should be displayed dependt on where are you on white column

use jquery's scroll function https://api.jquery.com/scroll/. this will trigger once you scroll your div with the code section.
for this example to work i have added an id to code section and also have done some alteration to make codesection div scrollable. (see console for message on scroll).
so on scroll you can also check page offset and can set value to preview screen as needed..

how to make background image transparent and the text written on it should be highlighted

Since I am not able to make the background transparent, means I want the image opacity should be minimum and the text written on it should be highlighted. Please help me out from this. As I used css opacity but the whole div is getting transparent with the text also written on it.
Here is my html and css:

I think this is what you need. We can achieve background transparent by using pseudo class. Please check the below code.
.bgimg{
width: 100%;
height: 600px;
}
.bgimg::after {
content: "";
background: url('https://images.pexels.com/photos/137219/pexels-photo-137219.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&h=350');
background-size: cover;
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
opacity: 0.3;
top: 0;
left: 0;
bottom: 0;
right: 0;
position: absolute;
z-index: -1;
}
.headerset{
padding-top: 250px;
box-sizing: border-box;

.headerset h2{

.headerset h1{

Bootstrap 4 make search field responsive in mobile

I tried to center my search field using code below.
But the search field is not very responsive because when in mobile it stays right on top with footer unlike on desktop. I want it to have a gap between footer.
This issue only displays on small screen mode.
Any input would be appreciated. I hope you all have a great weekend!

I didn't understand what you really want but I have tried it little bit.I think padding-bottom: 100px; will solve your problem.

Padding-top won't work

I am trying to put my "Sanchez Designs......Ms Sanchez....and "Web Developer, Artist and Higher Education" buttons midway into the page, right about at the peak of the mountain. I have researched and tried but am unable to move it. I thought padding-top would do the trick but nope. Any suggestions?
Also, I'm learning web development so please be gentle. Thanks!

IF you want padding top try
padding-top : 20px!important
if you want div test in center why you try padding top or bottom . you can use a extra div and give style display: flex; align-items: center;
.banner {
height: 80vh;
align-items: center;
vertical-align: middle;
display: flex;
}
like : https://www.w3schools.com/code/tryit.asp?filename=FNBF6UP5MV4S
There are a lot of way to add padding or margin here.
You can add padding-top to your .col-lg-12 if your content and navbar have 2 different container by simply add another class and add padding to it.
HTML
<div class="col-lg-12 text-center padding-content">
<div id="content">
...
CSS
.padding-content {
padding-top: 30px;
}
Demo: https://www.bootply.com/jpU6nmgw8z
Or you can add margin to your navbar
CSS
.navbar {
margin-bottom: 30px;
}
Demo: https://www.bootply.com/k6vGFbX5XC
Did you try adding margin-top to say, the "content" div?
#content {
margin-top: 5%;
}
