Can somebody help me with Bootstrap 5 modal footer?
I want to make a modal footer have a text (span or label) in the left and button in the right
I've found this solution and try it (changed everyting from "left" to "start") but not working.
I tried using d-flex justify-content-start and also tried using float-start but still not working.
Simply use the justify-content-between class on the modal-footer...
<!-- Modal -->
<div class="modal fade" id="inputInv" tabindex="-1" aria-labelledby="InputInventory" aria-hidden="true" data-bs-backdrop="static">
<div class="modal-dialog modal-xl">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h5 class="modal-title" id="InputInventory">INPUT DATA</h5>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<!-- CONTENT HERE -->
</div>
<div class="modal-footer justify-content-between">
<div>
<span>Example vertically aligned text</span>
</div>
<div class="actions">
<button id="btnInClose" type="button" class="btn btn-sm btn-secondary" data-bs-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button id="btnInSave" type="button" class="btn btn-sm btn-primary">Save</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Updated Codeply
You need to modify some structure to achieve it.
CSS:
.modal-footer {
justify-content: space-between;
}
HTML:
<!-- Button trigger modal -->
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary" data-bs-toggle="modal" data-bs-target="#inputInv">
Launch demo modal
</button>
<!-- Modal -->
<div class="modal fade" id="inputInv" tabindex="-1" aria-labelledby="InputInventory" aria-hidden="true" data-bs-backdrop="static">
<div class="modal-dialog modal-xl">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h5 class="modal-title" id="InputInventory">INPUT DATA</h5>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<!-- CONTENT HERE -->
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<div>
<span>Example vertically aligned text</span>
</div>
<div class="actions">
<button id="btnInClose" type="button" class="btn btn-sm btn-secondary" data-bs-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button id="btnInSave" type="button" class="btn btn-sm btn-primary">Save</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Check this for the example.
If you are using Bootstrap-5 then don't need to write CSS for text or element alignment so you need to use pre-defined classes from BS-5.
You just need to add me-auto class in <span> or <label> then text will render from left side.

I think This would fix your problem
Just added the buttons and the text into the div elements and added class bd-highlight to the three div elements
Also added class flex-grow-1 to the text div element

I'm planning to make the modal position relative and place it inside the column.
Please add below custom css and check agian. i hope your issue will fix by this custom css.
.column-two .modal {
position: absolute;
}
/* for center position */
.column-two .modal.show {
display: flex !important;
}
This would be my solution:

height:100vh;

.column-two{
position:relative;
}

When I open the page, a button appears on the top-left corner. Upon pressing it, it dies get highlighted, but nothing happens at all.
Do you have any idea why this is happening, and how to solve it?
here is the problem with your html classes.
look for Bootstrap 5 model
change your html with this or grab from above link

You have used bootstrap 4 code instead of bootstrap 5 code, either make all your modals the way bootstrap 5 does it, and you can read it here: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.0/components/modal/
or just change bootstrap versions to bootstrap 4
The difference is mostly that in bootstrap 5 you use "data-bs" + something in your attributes instead of just "data-"
Add the following script in the head of your html code.
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.5.2/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
I have a bootstrap dialog that is being displayed in google maps:
I want to be able to show the dialog at the center of the map as opposed to the top and increase the width and height of it. So far the styling for width is the only thing that appears to take effect. Here is my code:
HTML, CSS and JS:
$('#myModal').modal('show');
html, body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
#map_canvas {
height: 100%;
}
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-dialog " style="width: 30%" role="document">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title" id="myModalLabel">Title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
Test
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">No</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Yes</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Here's a centered Bootstrap 5 Modal!
You have to add the class "modal-dialog-centered" to the "modal-dialog" class.
Here's a picture to make everything a bit more understandable:
Here's the code:
<!-- CSS only -->
<link href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/bootstrap#5.0.0-beta2/dist/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" integrity="sha384-BmbxuPwQa2lc/FVzBcNJ7UAyJxM6wuqIj61tLrc4wSX0szH/Ev+nYRRuWlolflfl" crossorigin="anonymous">

</button>
<!-- Modal -->
<div class="modal fade" id="exampleModal" tabindex="-1" aria-labelledby="exampleModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-dialog modal-dialog-centered">

<button type="button" class="btn-close" data-bs-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"></button>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
This modal is centered horizontally and vertically!
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-secondary" data-bs-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I am using modals for some stuff in my html. I tried to use it with the anchor tag but to no success. What am I doing wrong? Here is my code:
<div class="logo">MAIN</div>
<ul>
<li>
3
<div class="navy-content">
<div class="navy-sub">
<ul>
<li>
<a data-toggle="modal" href="#myModal">3-1</a>
</li>
<li>
3-2
</li>
</ul>
<span class="close-my">×</span>
<span class="close-my">═</span>
<span class="close-my">−</span>
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h4 class="modal-title">Modal Header</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>Some text in the modal.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I am using the Darkly Theme for Bootstrap stuff. The other things are working but not this.
You can find the theme over here: https://bootswatch.com/darkly/
You need to add the id, myModal to the modal you are trying to target:
<a data-toggle="modal" href="#myModal">ANCHOR</a>
<!-- Modal -->
<div id="myModal" class="modal"> <!-- add id here -->
<div class="modal-dialog" role="document">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h5 class="modal-title">Modal title</h5>
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close">
<span aria-hidden="true">×</span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>Modal body text goes here.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-secondary" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Update
My best guess is that there might be an issue with one of the bootstrap or jQuery includes. Your code should run as is, see example below:

SCREENSHOT HEREI need a modal on my website and i decided to litterally copy the code for a modal on the bootstrap website. Only now it displays very small.
This is the modal code:

if you want a Bootstrap v4 modal for your site they're quite self explanatory. But for example sake and to hopefully help you. The code below will work for a Bootstrap modal pop-up (large):
