I have a requirement to create a JSON Template for CloudFormation, from some AWS CLI code. The code includes creating a VPC, gateways, subnets, route tables and so forth
I need to convert these in a way accepted by CloudFormation and not sure the most efficient way to do that. Surely, there must be a way to automate this?
I also need to create variables that can be referenced through the template, and I don't remember the last time I did that with JSON. Is there a tutorial or reference for these stuff?

No there is not automated conversion from CLI to cloudformation. However, if the resources have been already deployed, you can use former2 to generate the templates automatically.

We have two Firebase project, one for developing another production project. We use cloud functions. In one cloud functions, you need to use service-account-credentials.json. The problem is how can I make this function take data from service-account-credentials-dev.json when it proceeds to the development project, and when on production, then from service-account-credentials-prod.json?
I know about the environment, but as I understand, this feature does not allow you to download the json file for a particular project.

I am creating a spring-boot application which will interact with elasticsearch using spring-data. But the problem is, my data in the elasticsearch is unpredictable. That means there can be slight changes in the fields like additional fields or can be totally new field coming in JSON. Please guide me for a solution to address that. Using normal repository is seems not working because I don't have a defined JSON format. Your guide will be highly appreciated.
You need to provide a bit more data on your case.
Normally, when you use #Field annotations, or introducing/dropping a new simple or object field, this should not be a problem at all since spring-data-elasticsearch updates mapping when you save to ElasticsearchRepository. In some cases, e.g. introducing a parent-child rel, you would need to drop and recreate index but this can also be done programatically, if needed.
If you need advanced mapping that is also changing dynamically, then you need to build and execute a mapping update request from your code on save (custom repo).
I'm trying to make some reports using meteor and raphael js. I have to report data from an existing MySQL database. I do not wish to write to that database. I need only the "R" from CRUD.
I have thought of various manual ways of: exporting .csv files from the MySQL db via the application itself (Limesurvey) and using mongoimport to populate a MongoDB collection, and then do my CollectionName.find() etc in Meteor.
or perhaps some way of exposing REST full endpoints only to consume data, and use the http package for Meteor.

You can do it without any duplication completely from inside Meteor, but you will have to jump through a couple of hoops.
Firstly, use the mysql npm package to query the SQL database. Though Meteor provides Npm to require node packages, I find that using meteor-npm is an easier. Then to do the "R"eading form MySQL, create a Meteor.method on your server which queries the MySQL directly.
Then the second problem is that the mysql package is completely asynchronous. Hence, the execution of the SQL query returns value in a call back and by that point, your Meteor.method call would return leaving the client with an undefined. To fix that issue, we can use Future.
There are a couple of ways of smoothing over this step:
Using `meteor-sync-methods
Spinning out your own version from advice from the issue to allow this natively
Use this easy to implement one-time pattern: "fence has already activated -- too late to add writes"

This is probably a noob question, so I apologize in advance.
The HBase console, as far as I understand, is an extension (or a script running over) JIRB. Also, it comes with several HBase-specific commands, one of which is 'get' - to retrieve columns\values from a table.
However, it seems like 'get' only writes to screen and doesn't output values at all.
Is there any native hbase console command which will allow me to retrieve a value (e.g. a set of rows\columns), put them into a variable and retrieve their values?

No, there is not a native console command in 0.92. If you dig into the source code, there is a class Hbase::Table that could be used to do what you want. I believe this is going to be more exposed in 0.96. At this point, I have resorted to adding my own Ruby to my shell to handle a variety of common tasks (like using SingleColumnValueFilters on scans).
