So I'm trying to read data from CSV file and insert data in specific mysql database table.
Everything is working as expected, only after some time it throws out this error -> shown in picture.
My CSV file is about 25'000 lines big, and around 12'000 line I get this error. Same is with second function, it throws same error around 6'000 line, same file, different filtering settings.
I also got different file with different function with 1269 lines, and it's inserting all data in database without problems. So might it be that it takes to long time or something like that?

I have a HUGE csv database (46 million lines) that I'm trying to upload to BQ to work with. The problem is the last column is not filled on about half the lines. So, I get this error:
Error while reading data, error message: CSV table references column position 40, but line starting at position:X contains only 40 columns
I have already set every column as "nullable". I have allowed for maximum 100 million errors. What happens is BQ skips the lines with a null last column - all 20M+ of them.
What should I do? Manually get rid of the final value, since it's a boolean that I won't use for analysis? Or is there a smarter way to do it?
The solution #Pentium10 suggests in the comments is very interesting and should work.
You can also load your file with the bq load command, and set the --allow_jagged_row to true. It gives flexibility on the missing trailing columns.

I have a table with about 20 columns that I want to copy into redshift with from an S3 bucket as a csv.
I run a copy command that runs successfully, but it returns "0 lines loaded".
I've been stumped on this for a while and I'd appreciate any help.
I can share the table schema and a portion of the csv, if necessary (though, I'd like to avoid it if possible)

It happened sometime for me. The console shows that the Load Process is successful but the table not loaded.
Can you do a SELECT * FROM STL_LOAD_ERRORS and see if there are any rows corresponding to your load job. Basically the STL_LOAD_ERRORS keeps a log about all the load error with detailed info what is the exact error message and which column giving the error.
The job generally fails for me due to the reasons like Delimiter problem, Length of the Column etc.
I have read many threads but can't find the right specific answer. I get this error message when I try to import additional data into an existing table. The field names are all aligned correctly, but not every row has data in every field. For example, although I have a field named middle_name, not every row has a middle name in it. During the import process, is this blank field not counted as a field and thus throwing off the field count?
I have managed to get most of the data to import by making sure I had a blank column to allow for the auto-increment of ID, as well as leaving the header row in the file but choosing 1 row to skip on the import.
Now the problem is the last row won't import - get error message Invalid format of CSV input on line 19. When I copy the file to Text Wrangler, the last row ends with ,,,,,. This accounts for the last 5 columns which are blank. I need to know what the trick is to get the last row to import.

I’ve had similar problems (with a tab-separated file) after upgrading from an ancient version of phpMyAdmin. The following points might be helpful:
phpMyAdmin must have he correct number of columns. In older versions of phpMyAdmin you could get away with not supplying empty values for columns at the end of the row, but this is no longer the case.
If you export an Excel file to text and columns at the start or end of rows are completely empty, Excel will not export blanks for those rows. You need to put something in, or leave blank then edit the resulting file in a text editor with regular expressions, e.g. to add a blank first row, search for ^ and replace with , (CSV file) or \t (tab file); to add two columns to the end search for $ and replace with ,, or \t\t etc.
Add a blank line to the bottom of the file to avoid the error message referring to the last line of data. This seems to be a bug that has been fixed in newer versions.
Whilst in the text editor, also check the file encoding as Excel sometimes saves as things like UTF-16 with BOM which phpMyAdmin doesn’t like.
I saw the same error while trying to import a csv file with 20,000 rows into a custom table in Drupal 7 using phpmyadmin. My csv file didn't have headers and had one column with many blanks in it.
What worked for me: I copied the data from Excel into Notepad (a Windows plain text editor) and then back into a new Excel spreadsheet and re-saved it as a csv. I didn't have to add headers and left the blank rows blank. All went fine after I did that.
You'll never have this problem if you keep your 1st row the header row, even if your table already has a header. You can delete the extra header row later.
Why this helps is that, then mysql knows how many cells can possibly contain data, and you wont have to fill in dummy data or edit the csv or any of those things.

table data import through CSV file easily and I have done my work perfectly in MySQL Workbench.
As long as the CSV file you're importing has the proper number of empty columns, it should be no problem for phpMyAdmin (and that looks like it's probably okay based on the group of commas you pasted from your last line).
How was the CSV file generated? Can you open it in a spreadsheet program to verify the line count of row 19?
Is the file exceptionally large? (At 19 rows, I can't imagine it is, but if so you could be hitting PHP resource limits causing early termination of the phpMyAdmin import).
Make sure you are trying to import the table into the database and not the database > table.

I'm using SQL Server Import Wizard to import a 260GB flat text file into a table. I have about 25 fields/columns per row and endless rows. The large text file has vertical bars as a column delimiter and {CR}{LF} as a row delimiter.
My issue is this: some of the rows of data are not clean and missing a column delimiter or have an extra column delimiter. Thus, data is getting pushed into the wrong fields. This is problematic because each column has a very unique data type, thus creating the SQL Server data conversion failed error.
I don't mind incorrect data being pushed into the wrong fields - it seems to be happening for .01% of transactions and isn't a big issue. So I would like to override this issue and continue loading the data. Right now the problem is SQL Server Import wizard stops all together when it hits this error, meaning I have to cleanse the data and to reload each time (very painful for such a large text file).
Any help/advice/suggestions on strategy here?

Originally, my question was related to the fact that PhpMyAdmin's SQL section wasn't working properly. As suggested in the comments, I realized that it was the amount of the input is impossible to handle. However, this didn't provide me with a valid solution of how to deal with the files that have (in my case - 35 thousand record lines) in format of (CSV):

The Import option in PhpMyadmin is struggling just as the basic copy-paste input in SQL section does. This time, same as previously, it takes 5 minutes until the max execution time is called and then it stops. What is interesting tho, it adds like 6-7 thousand of records into the table. So that means the input actually goes through and does that almost successfully. I also tried halving the amount of data in the file. Nothing has changed however.
There is clearly something wrong now. It is pretty annoying to have to play with the data in php script when simple data import is not work.
Change your php upload max size.
Do you know where your php.ini file is?
First of all, try putting this file into your web root:
phpinfo.php

Then navigate to http://www.yoursite.com/phpinfo.php
Look for "php.ini".
To upload large files you need max_execution_time, post_max_size, upload_max_filesize
Also, do you know where your error.log file is? It would hopefully give you a clue as to what is going wrong.

Here is the query I use for the file import:

Where $file_name is the temporary filename from php global variable $_FILES, $table_name is the table already prepared for import, and $nl is a variable for the csv line endings (default to windows line endings but I have an option to select linux line endings).
The other thing is that the table ($table_name) in my script is prepared in advance by first scanning the csv to determine column types. After it determines appropriate column types, it creates the MySQL table to receive the data.
I suggest you try creating the MySQL table definition first, to match what's in the file (data types, character lengths, etc). Then try the above query and see how fast it runs. I don't know how much of a factor the MySQL table definition is on speed.
Also, I have no indexes defined in the table until AFTER the data is loaded. Indexes slow down data loading.
