Router navigation & modal close - html

I'm using a form component within 2 separate components in an Angular project. When the user selects 'Save' I would like my onSubmit function to close a modal if it's in one of the components or use the router link if it's in another.
I currently have my onSubmit function to finish with the router link as shown below:

But I would also like this to include closing a modal and not navigating when the user is in a different component.

Event listener for button does not work unless page is refreshed in React

In my index.html, I have the following code:

and then in my myComponent.tsx file, I have a button somewhere on the page that looks like this:

It's probably also important to note that I'm using react-routing to navigate between various components, and the button above is just in one of those components
So the issue seems to be that if you load in to a site on any other webpage and later navigate to the page with the button on it, the button won't work unless you refresh that specific page, since presumably it wasn't on the first page loaded and perhaps no element with id "button1" was found to bind the event listener to. React-routing doesn't refresh the page by default when navigating through the site.
Putting the code I have in the index.html file into the myComponent.tsx file also does not work, since (I think) the index.html file allows for any raw html but the tsx file isn't truly html? Is there perhaps a way to define this as a function in the index.html file and then assign an onClick event to the button? Thank you all in advance!
Yes, it should be possible to bind the function that shows the dialog for later use and then use the recommended React event on the button.
In this example bound globally to the window object for simplicity:

If you run into Type errors with that, try (on the button):

Or declare only the property (possible be more specific than any here if the signature is known):

It should be fine to have this just somewhere in your TS source, your index.html without TS should just assign it.

Changing values of a counter variable in Angular

I have 2 buttons on my login page, Button1 and Button2. Both the buttons direct to the same URL page. But on clicking Button 2, I want to disable the functionality of Button 3 which is on the next URL page.
Button 3 should be accessed only when Button 1 was clicked on the main page.
Here's the HTML code of the main page. Button 1 is a part of the ngForm.

One possible solution I thought of was exporting a counter variable from the main page to the second page on clicking Button 2, which will inform to disable Button 3, but I failed to do so.
How can I implement this functionality?

I'm trying to print the value of "status" on console, to check if the method is being accessed but there's no output on console and also the url doesn't change.
I want to call this "status" variable in olduser.ts script.
It seems you're trying to limit the functionality of some sort of dashboard depending on user type (patient, non-patient).
I don't think you should rely on a referrer button at all here.
I'd send something like a list of permissions for user to client app after logging in and wrap it in a AuthorizationService of some kind. Then I'd check if the user has the permission to register a new patient and show/hide the corresponding button.
Of course, you shouldn't forget about server-side validation for registration requests.
UPD: if one of the user types doesn't distinguish between users and doesn't require server-side authentication, you can just generate some kind of default set of permissions in the service for those non-privileged users and keep the display logic for page 2 based on permission checks.
On Click of button pass a query parameter. Then on the next page read the value of the query parameter from URL and disable the button 3 based on the value.

You can send the state of the button as a query parameter on button 2 click. Now, On the new page get the query params value and then apply property binding.
On Button 2 click :

There is multiple ways to achieve what you try to do:
With the click on Button 2, you can store in a service, a variable isActive to false and in your next url/Component, check from the service the variable to disabled or not your Button 3.
Navigate to your url with a params: my-new-url?ACTIVE=false, and in your new url/component, check the url to find the Params and disable your button according to the value

Angular event won't fire when clicking on svg

I have an angular (4) based web app, with an #angular/material based card view. Embedded in the content of the card view is a sub-component, which just displays an svg as an <object>.
Here is what that card looks like:

The issue is that the (click) event doesn't work if I click on the svg image (presumably because it is on top of the card view?), but if I click around the svg, the event fires.
I tried the adding md-card { z-index: 999 } to the css, but it makes no difference. How can I ensure that clicking anywhere within the card fires the event regardless of what is inside it?
Maybe writing a directive with a listener on clicks would help :

Dynamically ADDING and REMOVING Components in Angular

The current official docs only shows how to dynamically change components within an <ng-template> tag. https://angular.io/guide/dynamic-component-loader
What I want to achieve is, let's say I have 3 components: header, section, and footer with the following selectors:

<app-footer>
And then there are 6 buttons that will add or remove each component: Add Header, Add Section, and Add Footer
and when I click Add Header, the page will add <app-header> to the page that renders it, so the page will contain:

And then if I click Add Section twice, the page will now contain:
<app-header>
<app-section>
<app-section>
And if I click Add Footer, the page will now contain all these components:
<app-header>
<app-section>
<app-section>
<app-footer>
Is it possible to achieve this in Angular? Note that ngFor is not the solution I'm looking for, as it only allows to add the same components, not different components to a page.
EDIT: ngIf and ngFor is not the solution I'm looking for as the templates are already predetermined. What I am looking for is something like a stack of components or an array of components where we can add, remove, and change any index of the array easily.
EDIT 2: To make it more clear, let's have another example of why ngFor does not work. Let's say we have the following components:

Now here comes a new component, <app-description>, which the user wants to insert in between and <app-editor>. ngFor works only if there is one same component that I want to loop over and over. But for different components, ngFor fails here.
What you're trying to achieve can be done by creating components dynamically using the ComponentFactoryResolver and then injecting them into a ViewContainerRef. One way to do this dynamically is by passing the class of the component as an argument of your function that will create and inject the component.

If you want to make it easier to remove the components later on, you can keep track of them in a local variable, see this.components. Alternatively you can loop over all the elements inside the ViewContainerRef.

How to close an Angular2 modal with a boolean?

I'm new to html and Angular2. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.
I am placing a form component inside a ng2-modal and I would like the modal to close when the form returns a boolean from an event.
The form is for adding a new class to a database. Its first usage is on another page where it is not inside a modal.
There, upon clicking cancel/submit in the component, I have it return true and then redirect to another url.
For the new implementation I want the modal to close when the form returns true. The problem is that the save/cancel buttons are in the component containing the form. So I can't just use the modal's click event to close it.
Here is my current code:

I've tried putting closeModal="addNewClassModal.close()" in different places and switching around the syntax but its not working and I can't find anything online.
You can pass a reference to addNewClassModal to your AddNewClass component:
