HTML select a folder and a non existing file name - html

After getting a datasream from a server I would like to select an existing folder and set a new file name to which the stream should be stored.
The of HTML expects an existing file name to be entered.
What is the way to do it ? (html and jscript)

I'm not aware of HTML not letting you select un-made files but if you want to deal with files have a look at this MDN reference here
The file does not need to be made for your website to target it!

How can I save two files with the same name inside the same folder, without renaming any using php?

How can I save two files with the same file name in the same folder without renaming anyone using php?
For instance: A user has an audio file name "first.mp3"; and another user uploads another file named: "first.mp3"; and I want to save these two files without renaming any so that when people are downloading the audio from the front end, the name does not change.
I can do this by concatenating a random number to differentiate the files but I want to beat this method of renaming.
Should I be saving each file inside a unique folder and save the file names to database? but this method will create too many folders which i don't think it is appropriate.
You cannot have two files with the same name in the same folder.
You would either have to add a random string to the end of each file like you suggest or save each user's files in a directory allocated to their account.

Saving multiple files with the same name within the same folder is just not possible.
I'd opt for a strategy that would involve saving the original filename somewhere (in a database, for example) along with the name/path of the actual file. When the User downloads the file (presumably through a web app of some sorts), you can set the name of the file via headers with your language of choice.
You could even rename the files to something completely random when they're uploaded so you can have them all in one folder - as long as you store the original filename somewhere, you can always set it before you serve it back to the end user.

How to rename a file, using exiftool, to a new name contained in CSV import file

Using exiftool, I have exported image file data to a CSV file. I have manipulated that data and now I want to import the new values to the original files. Everything works as I would expect, except that I want also to rename images to new file names contained in the CSV file (those new names were generated manually as well as by programs; they could not be generated by a rule). I know how to rename files using data that is in the source image file (e.g. I've found advice on how to incorporate the camera model name into the file name), but I don't know how to rename the source image file to the name that I have specified in the CSV file.
It would be simple enough to do this renaming separately from exiftool, but I'm curious to know whether exiftool can do it. It seems to be able to do pretty much anything else.
According to this thread, Phil Harvey (creator of exiftool) says it isn't possible to rename files from a CSV file. It's "a feature to prevent people from messing up their files unintentionally."

Linking Uploaded File in Phpmailer

I'm trying to store links to files uploaded with phpmailer in my MySQL database so that when a web page calls the record, the user can download the files.
My files were getting attached as I want before I added the anchor tag. Now they no longer get attached to the email, and only the file names are making it into the database. Am I missing something simple?
$mail->AddAttachment("<a href='/home/company/upload/'>".$_FILES['rfile']['name'][0]."</a>"); // add attachments
$mail->AddAttachment("<a href='/home/company/upload/'>".$_FILES['rfile']['name'][1]."</a>"); // add attachments
Why are you putting HTML into something that's expecting a path to a file? Do this instead (and pay attention to what Marc B said - you should be calling move_uploaded_file() somewhere.).
$mail->AddAttachment('/home/company/upload/'.$_FILES['rfile']['name'][0]);
$mail->AddAttachment('/home/company/upload/'.$_FILES['rfile']['name'][1]);

PHPStorm: Generate filename on custom file template

PHP Storm: File templates
I would like to add custom file template with generated filename. I do not want to prompt filename by hand, I want it generated with variable values.
E.g. ${YEAR}${MONTH}${DAY}_${MyCustomVar}.sql
It there a way to do that?
Would you like to create files with 'fixed' names generated using temploate variables? It's not currently possible - you can file a request for this feature to youtrack (http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA)
