I write basic web apps for my personal use and am only one step above a noob. The current version of my web app runs a different code.gs file than the one that is saved, i.e., the code.gs file that comes up when I open the project from the apps script dashboard. I can't find the currently running file in the previous deployed versions in the Manage Deployments dialog. It seems to me that a version is running that is kind of inbetween deployments. Is there a way to display and edit the file that is currently in use by the web app? Thank you.
To run the latest code you can create a new version.
On the new IDE you can't see the previous version code, on the old IDE if you go to File -> See version history.
But to run the script you have on the screen on the new IDE, you have to deploy a new version.

> File google-services.json is missing. The Google Services Plugin cannot function without it.
Searched Location:
I have downloaded the google-services.Json from firebase but I am unsure where i should place it and what files i need to edit. If you want the ciontents of a certain file let me know and ill put it here. Thank you for any help
Try copying this file into: \platforms\android
There is a known issue when this file on certain versions of Android Studio gets corrupted etc. So just double check that the file is always there if you see this again.
If you are on never version of Android studio:
google-services.json needs to be in app/google-services.json. Then your config.xml needs to have:
<resource-file src="google-services.json" target="app/google-services.json" />
is there a way to create installer to make google chrome shortcut of a site?
I made a web app and instead of trying to get multiple computers to type the url, I created a shortcut of chrome with this command.
--app=example.com/blah/blah
Is there a way that i can create an shortcut with the command and compile it, with an icon?
You don't need to point to Chrome if that is already the default web browser from the machine. All you need to create is an URL shortcut. All MSI authoring tools should be able to do that.
With the free edition of Advanced Installer you can do like this:
if you don't have AI, download and install it
launch the application and create a "Simple" project, like in the first step from this tutorial
then just create a shortcut to URL in the Files and Folders page, using the option "New Shortcut To -> URL... " and set the URL desired in the configuration dialog of the new shortcut.
save and build the project, the MSI will be generated and you can now install it on the desired machines
Download this sample project file to see how it looks if you have problems following the steps above.
When using Google Apps Script plugin on Eclipse, if I rename a file on the web interface and try to "Update Apps Script from Drive" in the eclipse Google context menu, it start waiting forever and block eclipse. I need to force quit, restart eclipse, delete the project and import again to see the updated project with the renamed file.
Any idea whats going on?
This is a bug in the Apps Script feature of GPE. We are now working on a fix. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your report.
I'm using the mergJSON external in LiveCode and all is working fine in the IDE but not in the standalone application.
I use LiveCode 6.0.1 Community Edition for Mac OSX 10.8.3 with mergJSON (https://github.com/montegoulding/mergJSON)
When I create a standalone application (Mac) the mergJSON functionality doesn't seem to exist any more. There are no errors messages, simply that nothing works.
I have a button that grabs a piece of JSON data, converts it into a LiveCode array and populates a DataGrid. This works fine in the IDE. It does nothing when I press it in the standalone application.
Stand alone generator settings
LiveCode > Standalone Settings > Select Inclusions
should make sure that for the standalone application the mergJSON script libraries are visible, which they are. Currently I'm using "Search for required inclusions when saving the standalone..." option the Standalone Settings.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve
Have you followed this tutorial on setting up the user extensions folder for a third party extension. Note that the standalone builder will show an external if it's in the Externals folder but look for it in the Runtime folder so you need to add it there too.
http://lessons.runrev.com/s/lessons/m/4071/l/6347-how-to-install-3rd-party-externals-for-use-in-the-ide-and-standalone-builder
Also note that there's no Universal or PowerPC build so you need to build your app for x86 only.
