Postman: receiving syntax errors from postman POST request - json

}
However, when I post this as raw in Postman, I'm getting the following syntax error:
Failed to parse data (org.json.JSONException: Expected a ',' or '}' at 650 [character 45 line 26]
This points to the testSupplier line but I cannot see where I'm missing anything here.I don't want to be closing the object with } at this point as I have more properties which are part of the order object. And I already have a ,. Obviously this error is preventing the full body from posting and therefore I am receiving a 400 response.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Update:
When I check the call through Charles proxy, this is what is actually being posted in the body:

"terminal": "",
"type": "ref",
"date": "21\/02\/2021",
"transactionType": "",
"fuelSupplier": "23523"
So it is not posting anything after fuelSupplier
This is how the error is showing in Charles

POSTMAN - How to create Test using conditional IF with specific expected value for a specific property

I am new to JSON and Postman, and continuing my endeavour thru the learning curve. And I have a question on another simple action.
I have created a GET request which will get a JSON response like the one below.
In the example below I want to create a Test that will Pass only if the (main) "IsArchived" value equals to 'true', otherwise, it should Fail
How can I do it? Thanks in advance
I have already tried the following, but none of those seems to be working.
This one is failing with an error: "response is not defined"
pm.test("Value Equal TRUE", function() {
pm.expect(response.json().IsArchived).to.be.true
});
This one always pass, even if I set expected as "=== false" for the response below.
pm.test("Item Is Archived", function() {
if (pm.response.json().IsArchived === true) {
pm.response.to.have.status(200);
}
});
Here is my response:
{
"Id": 1328,
"Name": "AAA Test",
"Owner": {
"Id": 208,
"Name": "The Boss"
},
"FieldGroups": [
{
"Id": "c81376f0-6ac3-4028-8d61-76a0f815dbf8",
"Name": "General",
"FieldDefinitions": [
{
"Id": 1,
"DisplayName": "Product Name",
"IsArchived": false
},
{
"Id": 2,
"DisplayName": "Short Description",
"IsArchived": false
},
{
"Id": 33,
"DisplayName": "Long Description",
"IsArchived": false
},
]
},
{

"Name": "Somethingelse",
"FieldDefinitions": [
{
"Id": 123,
"DisplayName": "Attribution",
"IsArchived": false
},
{
"Id": 1584,

"IsArchived": false
},
{
"Id": 623,
"DisplayName": "Sizes",
"IsArchived": false,

"Value": "S"
},
{
"Id": 3,
"Value": "M"
}
]
}
]
}
],
"IsArchived": false
"Version": 1
}
This will work.
pm.test("Value Equal TRUE", function() {
pm.expect(pm.response.json().IsArchived).to.be.true
});
"response is not defined"
error is occuring for missing "pm." in the condition.
I assume that IsArchived element is second last element in the response. If not, you may need to change the hierarchy accordingly.

And I use $..[?(#.type!='JENKINS')].id path to receive id-s which relate to the instances with type NOT JENKINS, however JSON Extractor returns me the Jenkins's id too. The question is how can I receive ids for non-jenkins instances only?
Replace your JSON path expression with the below and it should work:
$.data.[*][?(#.type != "JENKINS")].id

Difficulties parsing json data in vb.net using Newtonsoft.Json

I have serialized a json stream using Newtonsoft.Json.
Here is what the data looks like:
{
"id": "55115654340-8d43-440c-8683-c3aa299e39cd",

using
Dim jsonResulttodict = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject(Of Dictionary(Of
String, Object))(decodedString)
I can get the id value by: var_id = jsonResulttodict.Item("id")
how do I get the values that are deeper, like the value of resolvedQuery that is below result ?
and also the value of intentName under metadata which is under result....
Thank you

I received the following response
For start following JSONPath Assertion will test your statusCode
$.statusCode
put 200 to Expected Value of JSONPath Assertion.
This one is for userName
$.responseData.userName
Easy, isn't it? See Parsing JSON guide for more useful examples and how-tos.
I found the JSR223 Assertion with script language javascript to be the easiest. at least if you have knowledge in java and javascript. And no need to add any plugins.
My working code in detail:
var json = JSON.parse(SampleResult.getResponseDataAsString());
if (json.statusCode != 200) {
AssertionResult.setFailureMessage(""
+ json.statusCode
+ " " + json.statusMessage
+ " " + json.errorMessage);
AssertionResult.setFailure(true);
}
I personally prefer to use BSF PostProcessor in coupling with Groovy language. Example of how to parse JSON with Groovy you can find here how to parse json using groovy
