Im hosting my website on Github Pages with a Google Domain and on my iPhone in Chrome it works perfect
but on my desktop either Chrome(My normal Browser (i did chear cache)) or Firefox(Which i just installed) im getting the bellow error and i love some help
Thanks
Chrome Desktop
This site can’t be reached
Check if there is a typo in topher2001.com.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
Firefox Desktop
Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at topher2001.com.
Considering your site is accessible from any other PC (including mine), you should check for a local cause which would affect all your browser on your Desktop.
See for example "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can", which lists causes like:
Internet Security software blocking Firefox
Firefox connection settings
IPv6
DNS Prefetching
Check for malware
Check if an extension is causing the problem
Some of those reason could apply to more than one browser and explain why you don't access your site on your desktop.
I was facing the same issue, it got resolved when I opened up cmd and wrote:
ipconfig/flushdns
Try anyone of these methods to solve this error.
Clear Your Browser’s Cache
Turn Off Experimental Chrome Features
Flush Your Computer’s DNS Cache
Release and Renew Your IP Address
Use Google’s Public DNS Servers
Check Your Computer’s ‘hosts’ File
100% Working Trick for chrome and other devices.
if You Host your website By using:-
1.Freenom
2.cloudflare
3.000webhost
Note:- Also recommend for all domain , hosting platform(try once) .
step1:- Download Chrome Extension VPN(Touch VPN).
step2:-After Download Restart Your Browser. Reopen.
step3:- go to extension click Touch vpn connect it to Germany.
step4:-Now, Type your Domain name in url :- example.tk etc..
BOOOM It working Fine..
Now Disconnect VPN and Try Normally to go your website..
Thank you

Using the Google Chrome browser on a regular basis has given me great service and usability. 2-3 weeks ago, for whatever reason it stopped working completely. Meaning, that when I start the application the regular Chrome window pops up but nothing is shown but the message "Oh no!
there has been a problem showing the website." Also: I can open and see the menu but when clicking on one item nothing happens... Not being able to access the settings etc.
I tried all of the tricks and tweaks as suggested in plenty of forums etc. With no positive outcome. Still not working. So I tried different browsers with the following results:
Firefox: working
Opera: working
Microsoft Edge: working
(new Chromium-based) Microsoft Edge Insider: not working
(and of course) Google Chrome: not working
So I thought it had something to do with Chrome and the new Microsoft Edge Insider being based on Chromium. That the problem could potentially have something to do with this. But since Opera is also Chromium-based and running on my machine without a care I discarded that idea.
Has anyoney experienced behavior in Chrome like that? Or even has a solution how to get it back running?
btw I'm running Windows 10.
To fix this issue in Windows OS follow the below steps
Open windows registry
Goto HKLM or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Goto to Software\Policies
Create "Google" Key
Under the Google, Create "Chrome"
Select Chrome and right-click and select DWORD (32-bit) Type
RendererCodeIntegrityEnabled and set the value as 0
Reopen the browser. It will start working
This worked for me
It's a bit difficult to diagnose just based on the report here, but you can try to follow the guide at https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/bug-reporting-guidelines/reporting-crash-bug
I've generally only run into this when there are ABI issues, like missing or mismatched dlls, which cause repeated process crashes.

Google Chrome showed me this message a small div kind of popup.
The upgrade completed successfully.
Google Chrome has successfully upgraded your extension with the new ToFind service.
Continue using toFind services
learn more
I don't know when this got installed I never installed anything during this period
I remember installing a software that installed the superfish search plugin(again without my knowledge).
Neither did Kaspersky detect it nor did Google Chrome give any warning.
I managed to uninstall it. But I still get the "find product" button on certain shopping website but I don't see any results.
Now this has come up in the last few days when I had installed no knew software.
I think Google Chrome is vulnerable to this spyware/spamware.
Don't even know what is is
Anybody seen this and know how to uninstall it.
It does not show up in the extensions. I have just a handfull of extensions
Gone through a lot of research basically found nothing on the web, after reviewing all programs installed and extensions for "ToFind" which gives no result.. and as suggested above removed all search engines (except google) from Chrome I still get the annoying floating search thingee on all http pages.
Went on and review the site tofind.info, where the search's setting is pointing to, which reveals a bit more info:
"...The "To Find" functionalities are added by browser add-ons and are available directly using "To Find" add-ons or by partners that publish their add-ons combined with the "To Find" functionalities to their add-ons as addition to their functionalities."
Now Im pretty sure this is something to do with the extensions I have, which may have been bundled with this service.
Once I get to this it doesn't take long for me to pinpoint it by disabling and enabling extensions... for me, it is the "BarDeCo: QR Code Decoder & Encoder/Generator 1.0.0.8" which I need to disable and remove that icon. The thing is, I had this extension for ages, but just recently this search thing pops up.. so it is a bit of annoying and is revealing some weakness in the control Chrome has on its extensions, it doesn't tell user what has changed (like android or iphone apps).
Anyway, hope it helps.
I just managed my search engines in Chrome settings and removed Live Search, Yahoo, and Ask.com from my default search engines, and the "toFind" button disappeared.
I didn't check after doing each one, so I don't know which was the culprit.
I left Bing and Google.
You can find them here: chrome://settings/searchEngines

I haven been trying to understand the difference between VNC and RDP. My understanding is the VNC more or less just transmits a picture of the desktop. RDP however has more of a semantic understanding of what is happening on the desktop and transmits how to render certain types of windows, buttons, etc. (I don't know how relevant this is unless people are using Windows Presentation Foundation or something similar though...)
So it seems that RDP is a much more efficient protocol.
However, my primary use case will be for monitoring a desktop that has Chrome browser full screen. In this case, will RDP be doing the same thing as VNC would and transmitting the contents of the Chrome browser?
I think you are mostly right that RDP handles vector graphics, while vnc is mainly screen image based.
Another difference is RDP informs clients when changes occur, while VNC server waits for clients to request the screen updates. This also makes RDP more efficient.
However, as users want more and more of the same experience as the remote computer, RDP nowadays seldom send vector graphics, i.e., RDP pretty much also send screen image diffs. The reason RDP is still faster is because Microsoft has built-in drivers inside Windows to detect display changes while VNC uses workaround to do that, you can imagine Microsoft does much better job in this. So even both protocols send the same image, Microsoft is much more efficient. As a matter of fact, no Windows remoting software is as efficient as RDP (I know Citrix's ICA, let's put it under same RDP category).
If you plan to remotely use Chrome for videos, you mway feel disappointed by RDP, as it's slow unless you turn on RemoteFX, but it's only available from Windows 2008 servers (I am not sure if Windows 8 supports it, though).
So my suggestion, use RDP whenever possible.
I think you are getting confused by relating RDP and VNC with chrome. VNC (Virtual Network Computing) relates to various remote support tools like Ultra VNC, Real VNC, logmeinrescue, gosupportnow, GoToMyPC etc. and RDP means remote desktop access, remote desktop protocol, Microsoft remote desktop software etc. There are various meanings associated with RDP and VNC. It is a very detailed topic discussion of which requires lot of time.

I have developed an extension for Google Chrome, but if I host the app on the Chrome Web Store there are no options to monetize the extension. This, to me, is a complete missed segment of the market, as I am sure developers would love to come up with creative applications and generate revenue for them!
I can't seem to find any alternative site/marketplace that would allow me to sell this extension though. I know that Firefox is building an app store to compete with Google and other HTML5 based app stores, but that doesn't help me too much either.
Is there any way I can.
Host my extension on either my own server or another app marketplace?
Provide some type of payment gateway with licensing that prevents users from downloading
a copy of the .crx and illegally distributing it?
I have a great little app that I don't want to give it away for free. Any Ideas?
Google says that the ability to sell extensions is "coming soon". Untill then, you can always self-host or turn your extension into a packaged app (see Google's notes for selling packaged apps, which are fundamentally identical to extesnions, but add an icon to the home screen.)
EDIT
"New" packaged apps (since the advent of manifest_version: 2) are quite different from extensions and have access to a completely separate set of APIs. Extensions are meant for browser interaction (manipulating tabs, cookies, history, etc.), whereas apps are meant to be closer to standalone programs.
As far as I know, there is no alternative marketplace for paid extensions.
Anyway, you can always host the extension on your own server:
http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/hosting.html
I appreciate the help from everyone. I think there would be a market for paid extensions. Mozilla is making a market for HTML5 apps, Facebook is rolling out a Market for HTML5 apps, but nothing is up and running for Extensions or Add-Ons.
Most Extensions, like mine, provide a time saver and efficiency-play on the users experience with the web.
Efficiency is something that can always, and should always be monetized. Part of the reason there are so many minimalistic chrome and firefox extensions is because there is no incentive for developers to build comprehensive solutions that are free.
Is there any way that if I do Host my own Extension, which I am more than capable of doing so, that I could put something in place that would prevent users from openly sharing my extension? Maybe keep the extension "unpackaged" so people couldn't just email each other the crx file and openly share it?
Another option I was thinking about would include A log-on screen where a user would have to sign up with an account and then would be given access after they paid for the plugin online. Is there any wayto incorporate that Log-On information into the plugin?
Thoughts?

I have a simple scenario, to receive notification on mobile devices whenever it's generated from Server.
I know this facility is available in native iOS app and Android but I am trying to avoid native path. What I would like that:
A mobile web app which can be access by visiting a URL
User have ability to create a bookmark on Home screen so that it gets feeling of native app Icon.
Getting badges of notification(no of messages in round shape)
Able to receive notification even if browser is closed.
I know there is a possibility of server side events/Web Sockets but can a web app emulate push notification features?
You can do this without a hybrid app, native app, or requiring users to install Pushover. It is possible to build a "progressive web app" that can send push notifications even after the page has been closed.
These work today in Chrome for Android (and other browsers seem to be implementing support), but there is no support on iOS.
Check out this demo, and this guide explains how to do it: https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/engage-and-retain/push-notifications/
as mentioned in Can a Webbased app have push notification? you might try Pushover: Simple Mobile Notifications for Android and iOS.
Able to receive notification even if browser is closed.
You cannot use WebSockets for this. You must use the more recent Push API. Currently it is supported by all major browsers, except Safari on iOS.
However adding support for the Push API from scratch is a lot of work: I suggest to use a third party service like Pushpad (I am the founder).
I am using this architecture
sockjs + rabbitmq + stomp
References:
http://www.rabbitmq.com/blog/2012/05/14/introducing-rabbitmq-web-stomp/

You can use a Plug-in for mobile Push Notification to PhoneGap (mobile web application)
https://github.com/awysocki/C2DM-PhoneGap
Push notification or server push is the latest way to send data from the server to the
client. Have you noticed how Gmail receives and displays the new email that arrives in
your inbox? You don’t need to refresh the browser or click some refresh button to send
request and receive latest data from the server.
According to my understanding you can build a hybrid app which will allow you to access both native and web functionality. To achieve this you can consider using Phonegap. This will allow you to use Push Notification service too.
You can consider Test Flight a 3rd party software for your app distribution on Android and iOS platform. Test Flight is free and recently acquired Apple.
Firebase is Google's push notification solution for mobile and web.
The company now offers all Firebase users free and unlimited
notifications with support for iOS, Android and the Web.
