trigger_topic not working on terraform resource google_cloudfunctions_function - google-cloud-functions

I have the following resource defined for terraform to create a cloud function. I want to be able to get it triggered thru a pubsub message.
which one of the block do I use ? event_trigger or trigger_topic
resource "google_cloudfunctions_function" "function" {
name = var.appname
entry_point = "entry"
available_memory_mb = 128
timeout = 120
project = var.gcpproject
region = var.region
#trigger_topic = "projects/${var.gcpproject}/topics/cloud-builds-topic"**
source_archive_bucket = var.google_storage_bucket
source_archive_object = "code/${var.appname}.zip"
runtime = "python3.7"
#event_trigger = {
# event_type= "google.pubsub.topic.publish"
# resource= "projects/${var.gcpproject}/topics/cloud-builds-topic"
# service= "pubsub.googleapis.com"
# failure_policy= {}
# }
}
When i use trigger_topic, it errors with
Error: Unsupported argument
on main.tf line 12, in resource "google_cloudfunctions_function" "function":
12: trigger_topic = "projects/${var.gcpproject}/topics/cloud-builds-topic"
An argument named "trigger_topic" is not expected here.
and when i use event_trigger, it errors with
Error: Unsupported argument
on main.tf line 16, in resource "google_cloudfunctions_function" "function":
16: event_trigger = {
An argument named "event_trigger" is not expected here. Did you mean to define
a block of type "event_trigger"?

There is no such attribute nor block as trigger_topic in google_cloudfunctions_function.
event_trigger should be a block, not a map (no =):
event_trigger {
event_type= "google.pubsub.topic.publish"
resource= "projects/${var.gcpproject}/topics/cloud-builds-topic"
service= "pubsub.googleapis.com"
#failure_policy= {}
}
failure_policy is also a block, not a map. service does not seem to be a correct attribute in the event_trigger block. Please double check documentation on valid attributes and blocks.

how to import variables from a json file to attributes in BUILD.bazel?

I would like to import variables defined in a json file(my_info.json) as attibutes for bazel rules.
I tried this (https://docs.bazel.build/versions/5.3.1/skylark/tutorial-sharing-variables.html) and works but do not want to use a .bzl file and import variables directly to attributes to BUILD.bazel.
I want to use those variables imported from my_info.json as attributes for other BUILD.bazel files.
projects/python_web/BUILD.bazel
load("//projects/tools/parser:config.bzl", "MY_REPO","MY_IMAGE")
container_push(
name = "publish",
format = "Docker",
registry = "registry.hub.docker.com",
repository = MY_REPO,
image = MY_IMAGE,
tag = "1",
)
Asking the similar in Bazel slack I was informed the is not possible to import variables directly to Bazel and it is needed to parse the json variables and write them into a .bzl file.
I tried also this code but nothing is written in config.bzl file.
my_info.json
{
"MYREPO" : "registry.hub.docker.com",
"MYIMAGE" : "michael/monorepo-python-web"
}
WORKSPACE.bazel
load("//projects/tools/parser:jsonparser.bzl", "load_my_json")
load_my_json(
name = "myjson"
)
projects/tools/parser/jsonparser.bzl
def _load_my_json_impl(repository_ctx):
json_data = json.decode(repository_ctx.read(repository_ctx.path(Label(":my_info.json"))))
config_lines = ["%s = %s" % (key, repr(val)) for key, val in json_data.items()]
repository_ctx.file("config.bzl", "\n".join(config_lines))
load_my_json = repository_rule(
implementation = _load_my_json_impl,
attrs = {},
)
projects/tools/parser/BUILD.bazel
load("#aspect_bazel_lib//lib:yq.bzl", "yq")
load(":config.bzl", "MYREPO", "MY_IMAGE")
yq(
name = "convert",
srcs = ["my_info2.json"],
args = ["-P"],
outs = ["bar.yaml"],
)
Executing:
% bazel build projects/tools/parser:convert
ERROR: Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Users/michael.taquia/Documents/Personal/Projects/bazel/bazel-projects/multi-language-bazel-monorepo/projects/tools/parser/BUILD.bazel", line 2, column 22, in <toplevel>
load(":config.bzl", "MYREPO", "MY_IMAGE")
Error: file ':config.bzl' does not contain symbol 'MYREPO'
When making troubleshooting I see the execution calls the jsonparser.bzl but never enters to _load_my_json_impl function (based in print statements) and does not write anything to config.bzl.
Notes: Tested on macOS 12.6 (21G115 ) Darwin Kernel Version 21.6.0
There is a better way to do that? A code snippet will be very useful.

openApiGenerate don`t generate Models

I use gradle plugin
id "org.openapi.generator" version "5.1.1"
and task in gradle.plugin
openApiGenerate {
generatorName = "kotlin"
inputSpec = "$rootDir/src/main/resources/META-INF/resources/API.v1.yaml".toString()
outputDir = "$rootDir/generated".toString()
apiPackage = "org.openapi.example.api"
invokerPackage = "org.openapi.example.invoker"
modelPackage = "org.openapi.example.model"
configOptions = [
dateLibrary: "java8"
]
}
when I call gradlew openApiGenerate
I got
Execution failed for task ':openApiGenerate'.
> There were issues with the specification. The option can be disabled via validateSpec (Maven/Gradle) or --skip-validate-spec (CLI).
| Error count: 244, Warning count: 0
Errors:
-attribute paths.'/v1/pet/{name}/home/'(post).responses.406.content is unexpected
-attribute paths.'/v1/pet/{name}/home'(post).responses.400.content is unexpected
..........
But if I call in CLI version my yaml generate Models and API
Why it call that Exceptions?
Unfortunatelly, I can not add here even a part of my yaml, because site told me "ït looks you add a lot of code"
If I add
skipValidateSpec = true
I get only API without Models. Why?

Parse JSON with missing fields using cjson Lua module in Openresty

I am trying to parse a json payload sent via a POST request to a NGINX/Openresty location. To do so, I combined Openresty's content_by_lua_block with its cjson module like this:
# other locations above
location /test {
content_by_lua_block {
ngx.req.read_body()
local data_string = ngx.req.get_body_data()
local cjson = require "cjson.safe"
local json = cjson.decode(data_string)
local endpoint_name = json['endpoint']['name']
local payload = json['payload']
local source_address = json['source_address']
local submit_date = json['submit_date']
ngx.say('Parsed')
}
}
Parsing sample data containing all required fields works as expected. A correct JSON object could look like this:
{
"payload": "the payload here",
"submit_date": "2018-08-17 16:31:51",
},
"endpoint": {
"name": "name of the endpoint here"
},
"source_address": "source address here",
}
However, a user might POST a differently formatted JSON object to the location. Assume a simple JSON document like
{
"username": "JohnDoe",
"password": "password123"
}
not containing the desired fields/keys.
According to the cjson module docs, using cjson (without its safe mode) will raise an error if invalid data is encountered. To prevent any errors being raised, I decided to use its safe mode by importing cjson.safe. This should return nil for invalid data and provide the error message instead of raising the error:
The cjson module will throw an error during JSON conversion if any invalid data is encountered. [...]
The cjson.safe module behaves identically to the cjson module, except when errors are encountered during JSON conversion. On error, the cjson_safe.encode and cjson_safe.decode functions will return nil followed by the error message.
However, I do not encounter any different error handling behavior in my case and the following traceback is shown in Openresty's error.log file:
2021/04/30 20:33:16 [error] 6176#6176: *176 lua entry thread aborted: runtime error: content_by_lua(samplesite:50):16: attempt to index field 'endpoint' (a nil value)
Which in turn results in an Internal Server Error:
<html>
<head><title>500 Internal Server Error</title></head>
<body>
<center><h1>500 Internal Server Error</h1></center>
<hr><center>openresty</center>
</body>
</html>
I think a workaround might be writing a dedicated function for parsing the JSON data and calling it with pcall() to catch any errors. However, this would make the safe mode kind of useless. What am I missing here?
Your “simple JSON document” is a valid JSON document. The error you are facing is not related to cjson, it's a standard Lua error:
resty -e 'local t = {foo = 1}; print(t["foo"]); print(t["foo"]["bar"])'
1
ERROR: (command line -e):1: attempt to index field 'foo' (a number value)
stack traceback:
...
“Safeness” of cjson.safe is about parsing of malformed documents:
cjson module raises an error:
resty -e 'print(require("cjson").decode("[1, 2, 3"))'
ERROR: (command line -e):1: Expected comma or array end but found T_END at character 9
stack traceback:
...
cjson.safe returns nil and an error message:
resty -e 'print(require("cjson.safe").decode("[1, 2, 3"))'
nilExpected comma or array end but found T_END at character 9

AWS Batch Job container_properties is invalid: Error decoding JSON: invalid character 'v' looking for beginning of value

I'm using terraform to create aws batch job definition:
resource "aws_batch_job_definition" "test" {
name = "jobtest"
type = "container"
container_properties =<<CONTAINER_PROPERTIES
{
"image": var.image,
"memory": 512,
"vcpus": 1,
"jobRoleArn": "${aws_iam_role.job_role.arn}"
}
CONTAINER_PROPERTIES
}
When I run terraform I get this error:
AWS Batch Job container_properties is invalid: Error decoding JSON: invalid character 'v' looking for beginning of value
on admin/prd/batch.tf line 1, in resource "aws_batch_job_definition" "test":
1: resource "aws_batch_job_definition" "test" {
I don't know what's wrong here. I couldn't find any answers in the other StackOverflow questions.

Lua-cjson -> require("cjson") successful, then errors when calling cjson.encode

I'm trying to encode/decode JSON in Lua using CJSON. I downloaded lua-cjson using Luarocks (http://www.kyne.com.au/~mark/software/lua-cjson-manual.html).
In the Lua interpreter, I'm using an example from the cjson manual:
> local cjson = require "cjson"
> value = { true, { foo = "bar" } }
> json_text = cjson.encode(value)
stdin:1: attempt to index a nil value (global 'cjson')
stack traceback:
stdin:1: in main chunk
[C]: in ?
I know that cjson is being found, because if I were to do ' require "foobar" ', Lua would error. It's just not able to use the module. Any help would be appreciated.
Each line in an interactive session is a separate chunk. So, the local variable created in line 1 no longer exists in the next lines. Note how the error message mentions a global variable. Try removing local.
