here is my problem :
I've used to add basic auth in my docker container successfully ,and I open my website page ,and input the basic auth's name and password correctly,so the next time when I open my site ,for a long time I don't need to reinput them again .that's cool ,cause I konw the browser will remember sth for me.
now i removed the basic auth in my Nginx configure file ,and restart the server ,and I want to check if the change effects ,but when I open my site this time ,still no need to input name and password , but I am not sure if it's the configure change effects well or the browser has already remember the authorization for ,so I want to remove or delete the already exist authorization in my browser .
of course I can find other device that has never been sign in before to check ,but I am curious about how the browser remember or store the name and password or authorization that has already been inputed,and if I can delete this things manually .

I have been trying in vain to update my website. I use the following information for a connection:
server
name + password
port
SFTP
When I save the file, I get a message that the file was uploaded successfully.
However, the website does not update.
In addition, the file on the server does not seem to correspond to the file displayed on the e.g. homepage.
I am happy about every answer.
Thank you in advance.
Maybe the files are cached so even though you change the files, server might be responding you with cached results. To check if that's the case, open your developer console, then go to Network tab and then refresh your page. When the data is loaded, check if it says "cached" on "Status" column. If so, try force refreshing your page by pressing CTRL+F5.
I'm attempting to load a page that does a call to ADFS for authentication purposes. On the page load, there is a redirect and then popup to enter credentials.
HTTPS must be used.
Chrome must be used as the testing browser.
So, when loading the page everything is working fine, but I'm forced to manually enter credentials when running the test. After inputting the credentials everything is fine, but is there a way to leverage Watir to input this for me? I've tried popping the username:password into the link already with no success, and since I really need to use Chrome the Firefox plugins are moot.
require 'watir-webdriver'
b = Watir::Browser.new :chrome
b.goto 'https://internalUAT.clientwebsite.com/'
b.link(:text => 'HR Dashboard').click

When you try passing credentials with the https://user:pass#foo.com technique, do you have any unusual characters in the username or password? (Maybe you have a DOMAIN\username domain prefix?)
If so you might want to make sure any such characters in the credential string are properly escaped.
If that's not the problem, and there's no other way to disable the auth prompt for your tests, then your best bet (IMO) is to write a separate script (or thread) that uses RAutomation (or some other UI automation library of your choosing) to enter your credentials and click the Log In button.
See https://github.com/jarmo/RAutomation
The test cases in the following file contain examples of using RAutomation's send_keys method, which could prove useful:
https://github.com/jarmo/RAutomation/blob/master/spec/window_spec.rb
For the record, it looks like RAutomation may have been used by watir-classic for dialog handling:

I am currently learning how to use JMeter so I can test my company's website. I set up a thread group and put in a few HTTP requests that should log into the site and navigate the tabs. The problem is that it does not appear to be logging in. When I look at the response data, I see that the log in request returns the correct temporary redirect page, but every request after that simply returns the html for the initial log in page.
I have tried using a simple HTTP request that sets the username and password text boxes to account details I know work. I have also tried using a Login Config Element and an HTTP Authorization Manager, and they all get the same thing. I tried changing the redirect options as is suggested here, but it was already set to "Follow Redirects". I tried switching it back too, and that didn't work.
I don't know what to do here. Can anyone help me out?
EDIT: I am going to be away on break for the next week, so I won't be able to respond to answers. I'll be back on Dec 3rd.
In the absolute majority of cases it's connected with cookies.
Try adding HTTP Cookie Manager and see what happens.
If you want to manipulate cookies you may wish to store them to JMeter Variables. To enabled this functionality you'll need to set next property:
CookieManager.save.cookies=true
The property lives in jmeter.properties file under /bin folder of your JMeter installation.
it depends how page is reacting if the session is getting stored in cookie you need to have cookie manager. otherwise search for session_id, or token you need to extract token using regular expression extractor and pass it with login form user name and password.

I already read this question and this question.
I was planning to make this
I am working on static html(s) with lots of HTML and files like this:
In order to create an "enter the site, write down the given password", I need to create a different .html.
If the user entered the password correctly, they will be redirected to the main site (on this case, they will be redirected to here.html) and if the password is wrong, the user will stay on the same page until they write a correct password.
How to make that function/password page?
I want the user unable to dig out by the source to find out the password.
It will be just simple password.
If you want to keep the password secret, then you cannot give it to the browser (since anything you give to the browser, you give to the user).
This means that you must check the password using server side code.
The closest you could come without using server side code would be to make the password part of the URL. If the wrong password was entered, the user would go to the wrong URL and get a 404 error.
i have my email body consisting below URL
<img src="http://10.210.162.79:8000/web/getImage.do?actionCode=2&imageId=1008"/>
but image is not displayed(it displayed as cross icon). I also tried below setting
LotusNotes-Preferences-Mail-Internet-Image Security--Uncheck To ensure privacy do not show remote images without my permission
Same thing works on my collegue system but for me it sill does not display image> Not sure what i am missing here?
I have already tried restarting of lotus notes. My lotus notes version is 8.5.
If this is a mail that was sent to both you and your colleague, then my best guess is that the two of you have different settings for your inbound mail. If your copy of the message is going through a format conversion on the server, it's possible that the firewall is blocking the HTTP image retrieval on the server. If your colleague's copy is not going through the same conversion on the server, then it would be his own computer that is retrieving the image and the firewall is allowing it.
So... Check your Person document in the Domino Directory and look at the setting Format preference for incoming mail. (It's on the right side of the Basics tab.) If it is set to Prefers Notes Rich Text, and your colleague's Person documentis set to either Prefer MIME or Keep in senders format, then that's the most likely answer.
By default the image access should be disabled. You have to enable it to see the image by default download
Open Lotus notes >> Preference >> Mail >> Internet >> Image security
uncheck the check box if it is checked already..
Edit notes.ini and make sure these two parameters are set:
ShowMIMEImagesAsAttachments=0
BrowserRenderDisable=0
