Recently, I learned, I can take source like base64ed text. For example:
<img src="data:image/jpeg;base64, /9j/4AAQSk...">
But, if I try to download such image, I got download.jpeg (or some another voodoo, made by browser). And it's sure thing, because it is encoded data of image only, names are discarded. Can I add custom name to data:... link?
If you just give me link to documentation about data:... or just official name of this "link", by that I could find it, I'll be grateful.
this hacky way 'll work only for right click -> Save as image :

For add file name to data:... you can't, The "data" URL scheme does not allow for specification of a file name.

I wanted to know how to disable the "download" attribute for an anchor tag like download="false" :
<a href="https://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/HTML5/512/HTML_Logo.png" download></a>
I have an application built using angularjs and the interaction I am expecting to build is, all image files can be viewed but any non-image file will be downloaded
I am unable to print the value of my json "downloadable" parameter using angular, I have a json which contains parameter that determines if a file is downloadable or not, if its downloadable then "downloadable":"download" and if the file is not downloadable which means it is an image file it may simply be viewed in the browser, in that case I set "downloadable":"" and my anchor code is
<a href="https://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/HTML5/512/HTML_Logo.png" {{downloadable}}></a>
this does not print "download" in place of "downloadable", but if I try the following code
<a href="https://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/HTML5/512/HTML_Logo.png" data={{downloadable}}>
it gets rendered as expected i.e
Probably more correct to use data-* attributes as intended. Try data-downloadable="true". But if you want the resource to be downloadable you have to host them yourself. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/a . You can't offer download of other people's resources.
I'm kind of new to HTML and hoping you an help me out.
I am pulling a database field that is a URL into automated emails. However, the URL is coming over as text.
Is there HTML coding that will turn whatever the text is into a URL without having to list the url in the coding (this is impossible, since the URLs are changing all the time)?
Example: one email says http://blahblahblah.com/yourquotes234980
The next email created is http://blahblahblah.com/yourquotes069283
How can that be turned into a URL link automatically?
Simply use the anchor element:
http://blahblahblah.com/yourquotes069283
Would come out as:
http://blahblahblah.com/yourquotes069283
you have to load that variable into a <A HREF> </A HREF> tag so it will look like this
yourvariable or you can add something else here as a name of your link
with variable i refer the variable where you get the email, so it will dinamically work and you don't have to create email tag for each user only you have to call your variable
i hope i helped you :-D
I have two image files in my directory. One is called abc1.png and the other is called #abc1.png.
When I do
<img src="abc1.png" alt="Figure">
in my HTML file, it works fine. But when I do
<img src="#abc1.png" alt="Figure">,
the image doesn't show up. Why is it?
In HTML the # sign is a reference to a named anchor in the document. You are telling the browser to look for that. Instead, use the URI-encoded version of #:
<img src="%23abc1.png" alt="Figure">
Depending on your setup, you may have to double-encode it.
I am creating a block and using the FCKEditor rich text input box. I switch to Source mode and enter in the following HTML:
<img src="http://test.com/image.png" alt="an image" />
I check to confirm that input format is set to "Full HTML" and press Save. Upon loading my site, I discover that the HTML in FCKEditor's Source view is now:
<p><img alt="\"an image" src="\"http://test.com/image.png\"" /></p>
Obviously that prevents the image from rendering properly since the browser sees the path to the image as:
"http://test.com/image.png"
Does someone know how to help?
Quick workaround could be to not use the quotes since it seems to be adding them in anyway.
Example:
<img src=http://site.com/image alt=alt text>
Have you changed or selected a suitable text format?
If you go to admin/config/content/formats, you can update or even create a new text format.
Select the one you're currently using that is resulting in this problem, and check if one of the filters is creating this problem. There are some that can influence or generate the problem you're experiencing.
"Correct faulty and chopped off HTML" filter
"Convert URLs into link" filter
"Limit allowed HTML tags" filter
Also, check in the FCKEditor's config page if any auto-correction filter is activated.
In any case, if the problem is inserting images, I think you should be better off with a dedicated module, like IMCE (http://drupal.org/project/imce).
Hope it helps.
I simply want to add couple share button onto my page. And I see that people recommend different ways of doing it:
I see some articles using home?status:
<a href=”http://twitter.com/home?status=Currently reading <?php the_permalink(); ?>” title=”Click to send this page to Twitter!” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow”>Share on Twitter</a>
and some using share?url:
Tweet
What's the difference?
Your first example simply updates the status with the text you enter. The second example has a lot more functionality.
share?url supports class attributes for the anchor tag. In the anchor tag you can add things like data-related to suggest accounts the user will follow after they share the content or if you don't supply a url it will look for the current url the call is being generated from and share that. It has a lot more functionality vs the dumbed down home?status call.
