First time using JQuery, so please try to be nice if it is a stupid error. I am working on an HTML based project just for fun and want to create a bootstrap based carousel that first reads a folder for images, and sticks them into the slideshow.
As I found out, HTML is weird and picky when it comes to what languages can touch folder. I tried PHP, and then realized I needed to install a bunch of other things to make it work, so I am trying jQuery, as it has the ability to access folders, based on info from here.
I have been able to inject HTML snippets using the append() method of jquery, but I cannot connect the 2 of them together. I get the following error: "jquery-3.2.1.min.js:2 Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.ajax is not a function".
This error started appearing when I added in the for loop to build the URL to the folder. It seems to be caused by for loops not being allowed to run before ajax calls.
please see the following code. Main area affected is the large script field in the header, and output should show up in the carousel-inner.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I am trying to fire GTM custom events from Google App Script Sidebar. A simplified version of the code is given below. The same code works if I test it locally on a local server as a web page. Events are triggered. But when it is part of an add-on the events are not getting triggered. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The HTML file is give below. This is displayed as a sidebar.
Update: I have put the full working code. The same below code is firing the tags when I test is in local server. But is does not fire the tags when displayed as a sidebar in a google sheets add-on. I am suspecting that the html is displayed inside an iframe. Not sure why it is not working

I am using JQueryUI with dialogextend on a boostrap template (Shards UI).
I have the issue that the dialog can move outside the window and makes scrollbars to the webpage:
Does anyone know what can cause this? I've tried to include the CSS and JS in different orders, but that doesn't help.
Here is the minimal code on which the issue still appears:

Thanks for the replies.
Solved it.
I was using a different version of the JS file and CSS file. Using the same version works.
I can't for the life of me figure out why my jpg image isn't rendering on my local computer. I'm writing a simple web app using AngularJS.
I have the images in an "img" folder within the same directory as the home.html file.
Could it be something wrong with the picture? I'm able to open it and it looks renders fine. I don't see any errors in the console either, just a broken image. Maybe it's the way I'm using bootstrap or angular? I'm relatively new to both.
home.html code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html data-ng-app="MainApp">
<head>
<title>FedCup 5k</title>
<!--angular uses this base element which path to use when it gets any front end resource- this is the root b/c of "/"-->
<base href='/'>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="src/bootstrap.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="lib/bootstrap/dist/css/bootstrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<div class='container'>
<div class='page-header'>
<h1>FedCup 5k</h1>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-sm-12">
<img src="img/test.jpg"/>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<!--the place holder to render our view dependent on the route-->
<div class="row">
<div class="col-sm-12" data-ng-view>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script type='text/javascript' src="lib/jquery/dist/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/css" src="lib/bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="lib/angular/angular.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="lib/angular-route/angular-route.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="lib/angular-resource/angular-resource.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="src/app.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="src/controller.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="src/factories.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="src/filter.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
Thanks so much for your help! I'm hoping it's just something stupid I'm overlooking because I've been staring at this for so long and it looks like it should be easy.
You have to access the folder in your local directory where the images are placed
through slashes.i.e if you have folder img then you have to access it in html via
<img src="/img/test.jpg"/>
Sometimes src not work with angular. Use data-ng-src instead.
I am trying to pull in data from a JSON file and use it to populate a navigation menu, composed of divs that collapse using the Angular UI collapsible function.
Here is my code (also on Plunker here):
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html ng-app="samApp">
<head>
<link data-require="bootstrap-css#3.0.3" data-semver="3.0.3" rel="stylesheet" href="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.0.3/css/bootstrap.min.css" />
<script data-require="angular.js#*" data-semver="1.2.14" src="http://code.angularjs.org/1.2.14/angular.js"></script>
<script data-require="angular-ui-bootstrap#*" data-semver="0.10.0" src="http://angular-ui.github.io/bootstrap/ui-bootstrap-tpls-0.10.0.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
<script src="app.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div CollapseCtrl navdata ng-repeat="items in item">
<div class="nav-super">{{items.img}}</div>
<div collapse="isCollapsed">
<div class="nav-sub">{{items.img}}</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
My issues are:
I cannot make the elements within the collapsible take the json information. If I set ng-repeat on one of the divs, the sub or super div will not take it. Setting ng-repeat on the outermost div results in none of the sub divs taking the repeat.
I have enclosed my controllers in directives and assigned both directives, for the collapsing function and the HTTP GET, to the same div.
I do believe you're looking for something like this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html ng-app="samApp">
<head>
<link data-require="bootstrap-css#3.0.3" data-semver="3.0.3" rel="stylesheet" href="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.0.3/css/bootstrap.min.css" />
<script data-require="angular.js#*" data-semver="1.2.14" src="http://code.angularjs.org/1.2.14/angular.js"></script>
<script data-require="angular-ui-bootstrap#*" data-semver="0.10.0" src="http://angular-ui.github.io/bootstrap/ui-bootstrap-tpls-0.10.0.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
<script src="app.js"></script>
</head>
<body ng-controller="navDataController">
<ul>
<li ng-repeat="item in items">
<span ng-click="action(item)">{{item.img}}</span>
<ul ng-show="item.isCollapsed">
<li ng-repeat="sub in item.subcontent">
<span>{{sub.title}} {{sub.}}</span>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</body>
</html>

The example works, but it's a bit crude; learn basics to make it sweet.
Also modified your plunkr to work:

</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
JS
var app = angular.module('samApp', ['ui.bootstrap']);
app.service('navdata', function($http) {
var myServiceObj = {
myData: {},
getData: function() {
$http.get('data.json').success(function(data, status, headers, config) {
angular.copy(data, myServiceObj.myData);
});
}
}
myServiceObj.getData();
return myServiceObj;
});
app.controller('CollapseCtrl', function($scope, navdata) {
$scope.items = navdata.myData;
});
Basically directives are meant for adding encapsulated behavior or DOM element manipulation. I think a service makes more sense for taking care of the requests to the server and storing the data to be used by various controllers.
I also used the data to store the isCollapsed boolean so you may want to loop over the data and set that to false if you want them closed initially or otherwise just reverse your boolean logic in the collapse expression.
You had all the right logic just in the wrong places, also read up on the ng-repeat documentation it's a piece I visit often.
I've read through many of these questions and they are answered the same. I've tried it but can't get it to work. I've gotten the code very small. What am I doing wrong? The tabs work fine, but no event getting fired.
