I have a query with an url to an specific image.
I would like to display that image in a listbox where i display the rest of the data of that record, but I do not know if it's even possible.
I found this: Show Small Preview Picture in Access 2013 List Box On Click
but it does nothing.
Could you help me please?
Thank you in advance.

I'm working on a DB in Microsoft Access 2016 and created a search form with multiple filters and then a Search button. It works perfectly fine, it shows the results in a query table that opens separately but I would like the results to be shown on the form page right below the button.
I tried:
creating a list box and setting the row source to my query
dragging the query itself on my form page to create a subquery and it only every data in the DB. The query is still functional, it opens in another tab and works, but the subform doesn't change at all
creating a combo box and displaying the results after pressing the button in the said combo box
adding another button in the subform to run the query but it has the same outcome: results displayed in a separate tab.
pic of what I want my form to do
I attached a pic, that's not my actual DB. Basically I want the box to display my results only after clicking the button.
Nothing has worked :( is there anything else I could try? I would gladly post my .accdb file if it's easier to understand what I mean.
Thank you!
I am new to Automation Anywhere. I am trying to click on specific cell value of a web page table.
I have cloned the table object and applied action "Click on cell by index" provided by automation anywhere tool on specific row and column.
Secondly, I tried Mouse Click functionality but, on search base position of cell where to click will not always be the same that's why cant implement mouse click.
Screenshot is attached what I have done so far, Nothing happens by click on the cell. I want to click on the value present in the cell.
I want to click on highlighted portion mentioned in below screenshot:
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
Could you attach a screenshot of the full search criteria? I'm sure it has to be something with the path and DomXpath.
Make sure that below points have been checked:
The object properties should be unique and non changing. This is required to identify the object correctly during execution
Check whether object cloning is working properly with current screen resolution. If not, you need to change the screen resolution
Ive had a request from a client to make a popup box appear on the click of a databar within an SSRS report. Not had any luck with various Google Searches and just wanted to know if anybody has either got this work directly or has any suggestions for a workaround they have used?
Bit of background on the actual report itself, it simply contains a table with various stacked DataBars showing comparable data between multiple users in a system. The ability is needed to click a bar and see which User that bar relates to.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
It's not quite the same thing, but you can use the SSRS tooltips functionality to achieve something similar, i.e. a user will hover over a part of a chart and some contextual text information will be displayed.
Show ToolTips on a Series has some further information.
You can add an action to an object with a javascript popup which can show a specific URL or another report. In the action click on Fx to set an expression as follows:
I used a different script to popup a URL which contains an image url from the database:
="javascript:void(window.open('" + Fields!ImageURL.Value + "', null, 'width=800, height=500, status=no, toolbar=no, menubar=no, location=no'))"
( you can replace Fields!Image.Value with a url , this is the URL from a database field)
a
On a PC this will showup properly sized as a popup. On an iPad it will appear as a new tab.
I have a html file with some images in a directory. I would simply want to open a report and show the html file (including the images) inside the report. Is there a way to achieve this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I've found this : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd207057.aspx. Tell me if it's useful? ;oP
To add HTML from a field in your dataset into a text box
1.On the Insert tab, click List. Click the design surface, and then drag to create a box that is the size you want.
The Dataset Properties dialog box opens. You can use a shared dataset or a dataset embedded in your report. For more information, click Dataset Properties Dialog Box, Query (Report Builder) or Dataset Properties Dialog Box, Query.
2.On the Insert tab, click Text Box. Click in the list, and then drag to create a box that is the size you want.
3.Drag an HTML field from your dataset into the text box. A placeholder is created for your field.
4.Right-click the placeholder, and then click Placeholder Properties.
5.On the General tab, verify that the Value box contains an expression that evaluates to the field you dropped in step 3.
6.Click HTML - Interpret HTML tags as styles. This causes the field to be evaluated as HTML.
7.Click OK.
Alright, this is what resolved the issue. I am converting the html to a image using CutyCapt and storing the image in the database as a blob. In the report I have a image control which refers to the image and this works fine.
Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone.
In an auto-generated chart based on a query (I dragged the chart object onto a blank form to start it), the chart itself is displaying and updating properly, datawise, but I want to change the Legend from reading "SumOfAvgOfield1" and "SumOfAvgOfield2" to regular words suitable for final presentations. But I can't find a way to change it!
I realize this is a late answer, but I was just having a similar issue and figured someone else might benefit from knowing how to get rid of the 'SumOf' labels.
In design view, right click on the chart and select 'Properties'.
Choose the Data tab.
The 'Row Source' field is the one you're going to be interested.
In there you can see various places where it's labeling your data:
Sum() AS [SumOfData]
Just edit the text right in the properties window and you'll be set.
This is WAY late, but here's what I found (Yes we still use office 2007)
Open the form in PivotTable View. Open Property Sheet. Highlight the column you want to change the Legend Caption for. Choose the Captions Tab in the properties window. There you can change the captions for each column.
Had 4 charts on a form. 3 would let me edit the Heading of the Chart, the 4th would not. Read a lot of posts that did not pertain. Noticed the datasheet for the 4th chart was completely empty.
SOLUTION: Clicked on chart until the datasheet appeared. Added mock field headings and mock data to datasheet. I could then click on chart and edit the chart's Heading. You can also highlight and change the color of selected words in the chart's Heading. Very Nice!
Good luck,
Vancer
The SumofAverageOfFiled1, etc is automatically generated. Even if you edit it in the datasheet, it changes back (or at least that is my experience). What I did to get around this is add a Rectangle and fill it with white and size it to cover up the "Sumof" captions. You can Bring to Front the Rectangle. Then you can add text boxes to label the chart's bars to read the way you want them. Drag them over the Rectange and Bring to Front.
Hope this helps.
Everywhere I looked it said just change the Pivot Table to change the Legend Entry.
Well, let me tell you.
First, if you have no Pivot Table that you can see do the following:
go to design view and select the form
right click and hit Properties. Scroll through till you see AllowPivotTableView and select yes.
Now you can go and change the column headers!
This could help
Select xxxxx, yyyyy from zzzz
Chart0.ChartSeriesCollection(0).DisplayName = ![XXXXX]
Chart0.ChartSeriesCollection(1).DisplayName = ![YYYYY]
Was very difficult to me to find a way to do it.
