xampp control panel EAccessViolation - exception

Every time I quitt the xampp Control Panel following Error appears
How can I fix this?
Exception EAccessViolation in module xampp-control.exe at 0025B2AE.
Access violation at address 0065B2AE in module 'xampp-controle.exe'.
Read of address 00000042.

Before running Xampp, go to the C:\xampp directory, look for xampp-control.exe, right click on it, go to Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and then check the Run as administrator option and click on Apply.

Solution: give xampp-control.exe in C:\xampp Administration rights. See a short video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jh1q0w-mHKU

That could be a bit annoying every time you start XAMPP, I solved it by reseting permissions to d:/XAMPP/xampp-control.ini, it originally has only reading permissions, this way is a bit cleaner.

The rights on xampp-control.ini are strict by design; see XAMPP Forum. But only during install.
To solve this the easiest way is:
directly after install remove c:/xampp/xampp-control.ini (that's .ini not .exe!); the file will be created in...
start XAMPP Control panel, and select your preferred language.
A new xampp-control.ini file will be created with defaults and writable by the authenticated users and administrators. Normal users have only read access.

How to fix XAMPP Shell from crashing

So I recently installed XAMPP, following a YouTube guide along the way. I click the start actions for Apache and MySQL and everything was going smooth until when I click the Shell icon on the right side of the command panel and the cmd associated with it just opens for a brief second and immediately closes I kept clicking on it hoping for it to work and nope it still just opens for a brief second and closes.
I kept searching for possible solutions online and still, it doesn't solve the issue. I tried tweaking the config of the Apache and MySQL and it still didn't fix it. I also try reinstalling using different XAMPP versions and still the problem persists. I also tried running it as administrator and issue is still there.
Additionally I'm using Windows 10
If anyone knows a possible fix for this I would greatly appreciate it.
Edit: I screen recorded my XAMPP issue, here's the link to that video : https://youtu.be/h-lM250Pqwc
Same issue on Windows 11
Running xampp-control as administrator did the trick. Source
Some alternative solutions:
Run SFC scan
Edit the registry key to stop CMD from closing
Follow these steps:
Open the xampp folder.
Search for xampp_shell.
Right click it and run it as administrator.
That's it!

Blocked DLL Detected: MySQL because of No-Installation Download

This error keeps on appearing whenever I try to create a new schema.
I can't quite understand the instructions. I went to my specified SQL folder but what "zip- unzip" was the instruction talking about? Moreover, it didn't specify what DLL should I look for.
I hope someone can help! Thanks!
You could try to run the MySQL Workbench as Administrator, than it can possibly unblock the dlls automatically.
If not, g to the folder where you have installed MySQL Workbench and use the Explorer Search functionality to search for all *.dll and *.exe. Then right click on each. If the dll/exe is blocked, you see an unblock button on the properties page, press it. You have to repeat this for all dlls/exes.

Windows Server 2012 IIS Issues

Let me first say I soley beleive IIS is usless because I have never gotten it to work ever, no matter what I do it never lets me access the website.
Before I start let me establish I have no choice but to use IIS in this instance and I really need this to work.
Let me also establish the following:
Yes I have tried turning it off and on again
There is 0 (NONE) firewall on this machine, and yes the server is entirely updated
My question is, whenever I try to create a website, for example the port im launching a server on is on port 3606.
I am attempting to have my website come up on port 3606, and direct me into a folder that is located at c:\mysqlservices
Now! Inside this folder is phpmyadmin source files, and in a desperate attempt to get this to work I have made the permissions to where EVERYONE, IUSR and IIS_USR all have full read write and nuking permisisons to this directory, its files, and all of its subdirectories.
Now, When I go to this address, for example, panel.archservers.com:3606,
All I get is the issue "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."
Thank you in advance for the help, all I need is to get this IIS server to actually work, because as it is, I cannot do anything with this IIS server..
Thank you very much in advance
This link suggest to add "IIS_IUSRS" user, which is not the same as "IIS_USR".
I needed to install the PHP core, then reset my permissions back to just iis_usrs.
It worked great
you are entering a wrong context...give a correct context of your application it will open that page..
Ex:
www.example.com - Forbidden Error
www.example.com/ex.jsp - Displays the respected page
Also check proper permissions are supplied or not to the directories

MAMP - suddenly getting 404s on my localhost

I have a very simple MAMP setup, with my index.php and related files in my htdocs folder. I was rolling along fine last night, being able to access the files by typing in things like localhost/index.php. Now, all of the sudden, I get 404s (file not found on this server) when I try to connect to any of the pages that are in my localhost folder or subdirectories of it.
What's more, when I just type in localhost, it shows me some of the directories but DOES NOT show any of my .php files, even though they show up when I perform a ls in the command line.
My MAMP app shows that I am connected to my Apache/MySQL servers. I can still access the localhost/MAMP homepage. But for some obscene reason, all of the sudden my php files are inaccessible. I have changed nothing inside of them! What's going on?
Edit: Turns out I needed to change the permissions of my php files -- they were set to read and write only for sudo and read only for everyone else. I ran chmod 777 on the applicable files and things were back to normal, but this begs several questions:
Why was it working earlier then changed without me ever modifying the file permissions?
Why should I have to make it writeable for other users to be able to access it on my local host as the admin user?
If I were to deploy this code in the wild (I know MAMP isn't used that often in the wild, but still), what would I do? Wouldn't creating these kinds of permissions result in serious security holes?
EDIT 2: Aaaaaand now it's not working again. Again, no changes made to file preferences, etc., just a few tweaks to the actual php files themselves. I don't have any sharing enabled under my sharing settings in System Preferences... this behavior is really starting to become frustrating.
Open Activity Monitor and make sure all instances of Apache and MySQL are closed. Sometimes MAMP has a tendency to not actually quit those processes and the next time you start it up they're still running and it generally messes with things (how's that for a technical explanation?).
Make sure there isn't any other process that's trying to use localhost for any reason. I came across this problem with POW installed. The POW process had stopped responding and it ended up interfering with MAMP's Apache.
Make sure that MAMP's settings haven't somehow been changes. I've seen MAMP revert custom document roots for seemingly no reason which can cause this.
I'd say even before any of this open your system preferences and make sure your Mac's own built-in Apache is off. You'll be able to see this in the Sharing section (it looks like its been moved in Mavericks however).
Make sure you're not routing traffic through a VPN or SSH using Sidestep. I had this problem after going back to an old project I built with MAMP while working from a coffee shop.

How to access phpMyAdmin on remote server

For my websites I use Dreamhost. Dreamhost requires you to create a hostname (ex: mysql.mclindigital.com) that the database will reside on. For me it's simple, if I want to access phpMyAdmin, I simply navigate to mysql.mclindigital.com, and it enters into phpMyAdmin automatically.
Apparently Dreamhost is in the minority using this method, because most people seem to use "localhost". So, how do I access phpMyAdmin for these websites? Will I need to get their Web Panel login info to browse around for this info?
As an example, I had a past client and I had to go here: http://216.120.237.104:2082/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php to get into their phpMyAdmin. I never really understood what I was doing, but it just worked. Now I am in the same situation, but this time the client isn't as tech-savvy and is unable to give me the URL I need to go to.
Also, I should point out I am not 100% certain that they have phpMyAdmin installed. I do know they have a database however, because they are running a Wordpress Blog.
There is nothing magic or special about phpMyAdmin. It is just
a bunch of php scripts.
Some webhosts(Such as dreamhost) may install it as standard
similary to formmail and a bunch of other tools they may install.
Your problem is most likely that you client don't have
phpMyAdmin installed, and the easy solution(If you have ftp access)
is to go to http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/index.php download
phpMyAdmin, configure it and then just upload it to their ftp server
your self. Then you can acces it similary to any other php script.
