I can't change table's position - html

I created table and I want to change it's position. At this point, I can't change position at all, so I believe direction doesn't matter. I've tried margin and padding on .first_table(I gave table this class), but it doesn't work at all. I tried changing display property as well as position property, but they didn't work either. They only worsened the situation. Though it is possible that those two properties only worsened the situation because I couldn't use them properly. Here are css and html codes of table:
.first_table{
color: #ad0720;
}
.first_table th h1 {
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 1em;
text-align: left;
color: #ad0720;
}
.first_table td {
font-weight: normal;
font-size: 1em;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 2px 2px -2px #0E1119;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 2px 2px -2px #0E1119;
box-shadow: 0 2px 2px -2px #0E1119;
}
.first_table {
text-align: left;
overflow: hidden;
width: 50%;
margin: 50 50;
display: table;
padding-bottom: 50px;
}
.first_table td, .first_table th {
padding-bottom: 2%;
padding-top: 2%;
padding-left: 2%;
}
.first_table tr:nth-child(odd) {
background-color: #323C50;
}
.first_table tr:nth-child(even) {
background-color: #2C3446;
}
.first_table th {
background-color: #1F2739;
}
.first_table td:first-child {
color: #FB667A;
}
.first_table tr:hover {
background-color: #464A52;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 6px 6px -6px #0E1119;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 6px 6px -6px #0E1119;
box-shadow: 0 6px 6px -6px #0E1119;
}
.first_table td:hover {
background-color: #FFF842;
color: #403E10;
font-weight: bold;
box-shadow: #7F7C21 -1px 1px, #7F7C21 -2px 2px, #7F7C21 -3px 3px, #7F7C21 -4px 4px, #7F7C21 -5px 5px, #7F7C21 -6px 6px;
transform: translate3d(6px, -6px, 0);
transition-delay: 0s;
transition-duration: 0.4s;
transition-property: all;
transition-timing-function: line;
}
#media (max-width: 800px) {
.container td:nth-child(4),
.container th:nth-child(4) {
display: none;
}
}
<table class="first_table">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>უნარები</th>
<td>Python</td>
<td>Web Development</td>
<td>Red Hat/CentOS</td>
<td>Algorithms & Data Structures</td>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<th>შეფასება</th>
<td>⭐⭐⭐</td>
<td>⭐,⭐/2</td>
<td>⭐</td>
<td>⭐⭐⭐</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

Wrap the table in a <div> with an id or class, then add to it a position:relative and margin/padding. Tested, works.

Why do all three boxes move when I try to move only one?

Hopefully somebody can help me with my issue.
I'm trying to make my own website, but when I try to move one of the three individual boxes(see picture), all three of them move. three boxes issue
[The same issue also happens with the social icons box but I'm less concerned with that section]
I'm hoping someone can take a look at the code and hopefully tell me where I've gone wrong.

You have put position:block in your css. There is no position:block in css. You have to use display property to that. I have change your box div's css to display: inline-block; and made few changes in width too.(using calc).

How to fix div hover to display correctly without missing sides?

I have div that have box-shadow on it and have also div:hover box-shadow.
When i check results at JSfiddle its all fine.
But when i check the results at my site i get the box-shadow right side removed:
Here is the Live code: JSfiddle
And here is the Code:

I'm pretty sure the problem does not come from the code you linked.
Rather i guess that your button is on the border of a overflow : hidden div and the shadow falls outshide that div.
Or there is another invisible div beside the button hidding the shadow.
Look at that snippet and notice why part of the shadow doesn't show : The button is on the top right corner of the parent (".test") div.
I cannot check your code but i guess the problem comes from a parent div (maybe because you haven't fixed a width and it is stopping right after the button)
.test {
display: block
width: 400px;
height: 200px;
overflow: hidden;
}

You can add some padding to the parent "anchor" tag with some classname
.some-class-name {
padding: 0 15px;
display: inline-block;
box-sizing: border-box;
}

how does float left affect transform translate

Codepen line 17: http://codepen.io/koriolis/pen/euAEg
This is because a elements are inline elements, in that they align the the parent element and do not clear either side.
When you add float: left, It changes the elements from being inline to block but also removes the clear: both and allows for elements to be aligned next to each other.
You can achieve the same effect as a float by using inline-block if you don't want the tags to float on the page.
.action-button {
position: relative;
padding: 10px 40px;
margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;
display: inline-block;
border-radius: 8px;
font-family: 'Pacifico', cursive;
font-size: 25px;
color: #FFF;
text-decoration: none;
}

Can element ignore height values of properties before it?

I have 2 elements sharing the same class .cta. The CTA inside of .casino-box looks great, however the one inside of .header-box is accounting for the 165px of space taken up by .top-nav-bar and .nav-bar.
How can I get the top CTA to ignore the added spacing of those two nav bars, without having to split the css code for the CTAs?

box-shadow: 0px 2px 4px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
text-shadow: 0px 0px 4px black;
}
.cta .button:hover {
color: #90281F;
background: #fff;
text-shadow: none;
}
.cta hr {
box-shadow: 0px 2px 4px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7);
}
You have to set negative margin-top with the height of .top-nav-bar and .nav-bar plus your normal margin so the two div could be aligned in center. In this case it would probably be as following:
.header-box .cta {
margin-top: -205px;
}

CSS Positioning & text

I've got the CSS code for my register button:
.register-button {
padding:7px 375px;
background: #3b7aae;
border-radius: 5px;
border: none;
box-shadow: inset 0 0 0 1px rgba(0,0,0,.25), inset 0 1px 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,.25);
color: #fff;
font-weight: bold;
cursor: pointer;
cursor: hand;
font-size: 20px;
text-decoration: none;
position:absolute;
bottom:-100px;
left:0px;
text-align:left;
text-shadow:2px 2px rgba(0,0,0,.3);
}
.register-button:hover {
background-color: #4386be;
}
.register-button span {
display:block;
font-weight:normal;
}
And the HTML looks like:
<a class="register-button" href="/register">
Register today, you won't regret it!
</a>
It then outputs this:
My question is simple, how can I get it to stay on one single line, rather than like how it is in the picture? I've tried changing the position to fixed and adjusting top; & left; and it just made things worse.
Set the width of the .register-button to 300px.
Here is a jsFiddle example using your code (http://jsfiddle.net/2WCje/)
CSS:
.register-button {
padding:7px 375px;
background: #3b7aae;
border-radius: 5px;
border: none;
box-shadow: inset 0 0 0 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, .25), inset 0 1px 0 1px rgba(255, 255, 255, .25);
color: #fff;
font-weight: bold;
cursor: pointer;
cursor: hand;
font-size: 20px;
text-decoration: none;
position:absolute;
bottom:-100px;
left:0px;
text-align:left;
text-shadow:2px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3);
width: 300px;/*----------This will line up the text for you-----------*/
}
.register-button:hover {
background-color: #4386be;
}
.register-button span {
display:block;
font-weight:normal;
}
Reduce your padding value from
.register-button {
padding:7px 375px;
to something like this
.register-button {
padding:7px 35px;
