I have built some Custom translator engines using TM assets. Now I have more content with corrected translations in TMs I would like to use to improve these engines. I am not seeing in the documentation how you can update or retain an engine with new content. What is the process?
You should be able to create a second model in the same project, on the data page. So it's not a retraining, it's a new training.

I'm new to service workers. I want to integrate service workers in my site.My motive is to improve the performance of my website not making the website offline.Its a real estate website.
So what i have done till now is create modular templates of my site and store them in the cache.

whenever a fetch occurs on my page i first call an api through ajax get the data and replace the #data variable in the cache response by actual api response and then i returned the new response to the browser.
Question 1:- So i want to know is that the right approach. for html template caching?
In the above approach i'm getting challenges like loops and conditional statements in my html.
Question 2:- Is there any way that i can cache the templates with loops and change them at run time?.
Question 3:- Say if i show the cached app-shell to the user initially, so is that going to effect my site's SEO ranking?.
Question 4:- I have to write new templates of the existing code, which means i have to maintain two codes one for service-workers and other for normal browsers which dont support service workers.Any solution to this?

That's a lot of questions and I don't think service workers are necessarily your best bet.
Question 1: Personally I recommend using a framework such as KnockoutJS, Angular, Polymer...etc for your HTML templates. These often have template caching built-in.
Question 2: Instead of the approach you are using whereby you are replacing the variables before 'sending them to the browser' most frameworks would use some form of data bindings which would take care of iterations and conditions within the browser.
Question 3: Caching the app-shell would have no effect on SEO and Google has been parsing JavaScript for a while; however personally I would recommend that the website's content loads without JavaScript and then JavaScript is only used to enhance the experience. This would be the same whether using the app-shell model or not.
Question 4: I do not understand your current setup and this would not be an ordinary scenario so you might have something wrong.
Service workers and the Cache API are ordinarily used to cache your static assets, usually fonts, css, JavaScript and HTML templates and should result in improved performance as there are less HTTP requests; but there are other ways to improve performance that will address all of your questions without the use of service workers.
I want to add simple search functionality into an existing Java web application.
Search should be done on existing database fields.
It is an web-applicaiton deployed on wildfly, REST-Services and MySql-DB.
After some research, my first impression was, using Solr I will get what I want.
BUT: As I'am not allowed to deploy one more application to customers environments, Solr doesn't fit any more.
As I understood, there are two ways to fix this:

The 2nd way seems old and although the post seems to be removed I think I got what the author meant, from the title.
IMO the 1st way is better because you will be using Solr as it should be used, as a black box, without mixing up things with your webapp.
Having said that, keep in mind that the embedded solr isn't a good choice for a production environment because it is a standalone module, mainly not scalable.
I suggest you to write your Solr client code in a decoupled way: your webapp should deal only with SolrServer abstract class. Behind the scenes you'll instantiate an EmbeddedSolrServer at the moment. Later, if you want to scale your search service, this design will let you to switch to another impl (LBHttpServer, SolrCloud) with a small refactoring effort.
So I will describe my way that I've chosen.
First of all, yes Lucene is my friend.
In my web-app I creaded an #WebListener. This will create one Index, and delete it if already exists, at start of my web-app.
The content of the Index are some database-filed values of three Objects, that have to be searched.
In my SearchService(REST) I build up my QuerySearch, and acces this Index.
Additonally I want extend existing REST-Services (not yet done). So when editing objectTypes (CUD) included in Index, the Index have to be update.
Feel free, to give me some suggestions or best practices.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an application that would take a GEDCOM genealogy file and convert it to HTML format for viewing and publishing on the web. I'd like to have separate html files for each individual and perhaps additional files for other content as well. I know there are some tools out there but I was wondering if anyone used any tools and could advise on this. I'm not sure what format to look for such applications. They could be Python or php files that one can edit, or even JavaScript (maybe) or just executable files.
The next issue might be appropriate for a topic in itself. Export of GEDCOM to RDF. My interest here would be to align the information with specific vocabularies, such as BIO or REL which both are extended from FOAF.

Like Rob Kam said, Ged2Html was the most popular such program for a long time.
GRAMPS can also create static HTML sites and has the advantage of being free software and having a native XML format which you could easily modify to fit your needs.
Several years ago, I created a simple Java program to turn gedcom into xml. I then used xslt to generate html and rdf. The html I generate is pretty rudimentary, so it would probably be better to look elsewhere for that, but the rdf might be useful to you:

Ged2html used to be the most popular and most versatile, but is now no longer being developed. It's an executable, with output customisable through its own scripting syntax.
Family Historian http://www.family-historian.co.uk will create exactly what you are looking for, eg one file per person using the built in Web Site creator. As will a couple of the other Major genealogy packages. I have not seen anything for the RDF part of your question.
I have since tried to produce a Genealogy application using Semantic MediaWiki - MediaWiki, the software behind Wikipedia, and Semantic MediaWiki includes various extensions related to the Semantic Web. I thought it is very easy to use with the forms and the ability to upload a GEDCOM but some feedback from people into genealogy said that it appeared too technical and didn't seem to offer anything new.
So, now the issue is whether to stay with MediaWiki and make it more user friendly or create an entirely new application that allows for adding and updating data in a triple store as well as displaying. I'm not sure how to generate a family tree graphical view of the data, like on sites like ancestry.com, where one can click on a box to see details about the person and update that info or one could click on a right or left arrow around a box to navigate the tree. The data comes from SPARQL queries sent to the data set/triple store both when displaying the initial view and when navigating the tree, where an Ajax call is needed to get more data.

So, I want to import, export and modify the database. I have read that I have to do that by XML, but I don't really understand their doc system and I haven't found any good tutorials out there that explain this. I am slowly reading the very expensive and short book which is somewhat answering my questions, but I crave more.
As a second question, I want to have a order system where I can send out information or emails with my own code. I assume this would be some type of plug-in that would override or be called at a certain time. Any info would be helpful.
Some parts of the magento data can be imported/exported via the backend (System->Import/Export), namely products and customers.
If you want to deal with the complete DB - use your DB tool of choice (I prefer mysqldump).
When dealing with exported CSV.. use OpenOffice, from my experience it deals better with the separation characters than Excel.
As for your second question - as far as I understood, you will have to develop a module if you want to do something different than the existing functionality and keep the original mail functions. If you don't want to/have to keep the original functions, you can opt to overwrite the module, which is much easier as far as I can see. Google search for "overriding magento module" should turn up atleast one decent tutorial.

Modules still look daunting, but I am reading through the (very thin) magento book (the only one available).

Question for anyone who's used Mechanical Turk: Is it possible to take an HTML template created on Mechanical Turk's website, and then create more HITs based on that template from the command line tools or API?
According to the API docs, it's not possible to create new HTML and add it...from the API. However, what I want to do here is use a HIT template I already created. It would seem like there should be a way to use that template (and load up new data in the API), since Amazon already approved it and I'm using it for HITs already. But I haven't seen a way in the documentation to do so.
The main reason I want the HTML is so I can apply styles that I can't apply by using a questions file. If there was some sort of "rich" question file, that might solve the problem.
You could post a job on Mechanical Turk to have a person take your template and insert your data into it for each HIT you want to create.

I know this is an old question, but the API has been updated to allow this using HITLayout: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSMechTurk/latest/AWSMturkAPI/ApiReference_HITLayoutArticle.html.
As far as I know, I haven't seen a way to use manually created questions from the API.
If you're planning on doing programmatic access, it may be easier to use the API in its entirety (i.e., specify your questions via XML and create HITs from that question):

Alternatively, you can use the "External Question" question type which may be better suited -- you can host the entire question form yourself.
