I have a scrollable box with text in it, which expands upon hovering over it, with a small amount of text also above it. When I hover over the scrollable text box, It expands, also overlapping the small bit of text above it. I have tried this with z-index, but just cannot get the scrollable text box to overlap.
Here is a StackBlitz of my issue (should be fairly explanatory).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Just add background-color: white to your .eula-text class to make the background of your text non-transparent.

On my website, when I center an image which has text after, the space between image and text disappear.
No align, space exists:
Align center, space disappear:
This seems like a margin issue, make sure the div that contains the image + text has the correct margin-bottom when you add the Align center

I need to make a simple html page with bootstrap lib: my page has simply an header fixed to top and a table that may be long, so I need to scroll it... If I add simple a navbar and a table I obtain this:
as you can see, the table is 'under' the navbar and I can't be able to scroll.. how can I do?
here is the example:

thank you
As I can see your header is fixed to the top and because that it's going under the table that you made. An easy fix is just to add a padding-top to the table. The amount of padding that you should add is equal to the header's height or more, try and see what you like more.

I have created this jsFiddle to represent my problem.

<must put code to post jsFiddle link>
I am building a carousel. The width of the content of the carousel is to be limited by the bootstrap container (the pink bit). However, I want the nav buttons to the left and right of the carousel to be outside the width of the container.
I have achieved this on the left button using a negative margin but cannot figure out how to achieve the same result on the right button. I am open to changing the structure of the html.
this is what you looking for? Fiddle
i change it from float to absolute.

There is empty space at the bottom of my site, showing just the background image. If I set the height of .content to auto or 100%, that makes things even worse and destroys the site. How can I get rid of this empty space while still preserving the white box holding all my content?

Add an overflow:auto CSS style to your #mainContent div so it expands to the floating content inside of it.

Have created a div and another div stays adjacent to it but I put an hr to right aligned div but want it to expand from right to left.
If you are simply using <hr>, clear your space for a line then it will automatically cover the whole region. Keep your both division inside a division and put <hr> in you main division. It would be better if you show your code.
It will span the whole way through if you put it in the top level div.
You can also add CSS to it to make it stretch nicely, but that's another story.
