Media Query for mobile landscape - html

I am trying to target mobile landscape mode with css query, I thought its going to be simple but it wasn't, I am using following query its working on Android but on iPhone it doesn't.
#media only screen and (min-device-width: 480px) and (max-device-width: 750px) and (orientation: landscape) {}
I also tried adding (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 2) but doesn't work.
What I am doing wrong here ?

The sizes and pixel-ratio will vary depending on the phone you're currently developing for; however here is the media query for the iPhone X.
#media only screen
and (min-device-width: 375px)
and (max-device-width: 812px)
and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 3)
and (orientation: landscape) {
/* iPhone X styles here */
...
}

Maybe try some of this media-query:

CSS Media Queries Does Not Seem To Be Working Properly

I have added this CSS media setting for changing the font size of a web page when it comes to iPhone sizes:
body{
font-size:10pt;
}
#media only screen and (max-width: 375px) {
body{
font-size:20pt;
}
}
But when I resize it, it does not show the font size of 20pt.
I have also added this meta tag:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
So what's going wrong here?
How can I properly add the CSS media queries for iPhone sizes with a maximum width of 375px?
Thanks in advance.
its depend in which model you are testing.

Website breaks on iPad tablets

Used crossbrowser testing and my website works on almost every single device. On an android tablet the same size as an iPad tablet...my site displays correctly on the android but not the ipad. Can using bad break points in media queries cause this?
Add all of these media queries to your css and it will work

How to set separate media queries to effect the same element?

I am trying to optimize my mobile webpage experience throughout several iPhone screens, particularly the 5/5s and 6/6s. I'm trying to effect the position attribute of an element in a different way depending on the screen i.e, "if the screen is a 5/5s, do this", "if the screen is a 6/6s, do this". However, one query just overrides the other instead of doing its own specific thing.
Here is my CSS:
/* for iPhone 6/6S */
#media (max-width:730px) {
.fore-man {
top: 1100px;
}
/* for iPhone 5/5S */
#media (max-width:560px) {
.fore-man {
top: 1100px;
}
How do I correct it to be screen specific & not just override the previous query?
Would adding a min width to your 6/6s query do the trick?
/* for iPhone 6/6S */
#media (max-width:730px) and (min-width: 561px) {
.fore-man {
top: 1100px;
}
}
/* for iPhone 5/5S */
#media (max-width:560px) {
.fore-man {
top: 1100px;
}
}
According to this article, targeting device screens is better done with device-width properties.
Take a look, here

Bootstrap Media queries Orientation Change to Landscape not working under Physical Device

I am facing one very strange issue in bootstrap, basically I have this page http://excellencewebworks.com/bootstrap/video_skin.html
Here I am adding video covered with a tablet video skin. When I check the page under responsive mode in Mozilla Firefox -> Tools-> Responsive Design View for 360 x 640 dimension it works good under portrait and landscape mode.
But when checking the same page in physical device, it works only in portrait and not landscape, design gets altered in landscape mode. Strange to see this.
Can anyone please look into this and let me know what I am doing wrong here?
Thanks,
Ronak Shah

Ok, Give it a try something like this :
#media screen and (min-width:360px) and (max-width:640px){
/*-----style----*/
}
Also make sure your media queries are not overlapping.

CSS media queries for screen sizes

I am currently trying to design a layout which will be compatible for multiple screen sizes. The screen sizes I am designing for are listed below:
Screen Sizes:
640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x1024 (and larger)
The thing that I'm having trouble with is creating the css3 media queries, so that my layout changes when the window's width gets to one of these widths. Below is an example of the media queries I'm currently using, but it is not working for me, so I'm wondering if someone could help me fix it.
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 700px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify1.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (min-width: 701px) and (max-width: 900px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify2.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 901px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify3.css">
I tried going with a new set of media queries, but they still aren't working for me. Could someone please help explain what I'm dong wrong. Several of you have already tried explaining, but I'm not getting it. The new media queries are displayed below:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 640px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify1.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 800px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify2.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 1024px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify3.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen and (max-width: 1280px)" href="css/devices/screen/layout-modify4.css">
Put it all in one document and use this:
/* Smartphones (portrait and landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-device-width : 320px)
and (max-device-width : 480px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Smartphones (landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-width : 321px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Smartphones (portrait) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (max-width : 320px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (portrait and landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-device-width : 768px)
and (max-device-width : 1024px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-device-width : 768px)
and (max-device-width : 1024px)
and (orientation : landscape) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (portrait) ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-device-width : 768px)
and (max-device-width : 1024px)
and (orientation : portrait) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Desktops and laptops ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-width : 1224px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Large screens ----------- */
#media only screen
and (min-width : 1824px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPhone 4 - 5s ----------- */
#media
only screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio : 1.5),
only screen and (min-device-pixel-ratio : 1.5) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPhone 6 ----------- */
#media
only screen and (max-device-width: 667px)
only screen and (-webkit-device-pixel-ratio: 2) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPhone 6+ ----------- */
#media
only screen and (min-device-width : 414px)
only screen and (-webkit-device-pixel-ratio: 3) {
/*** You've spent way too much on a phone ***/
}
/* Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge ----------- */
#media only screen
and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 3),
and (min-resolution: 192dpi)and (max-width:640px) {
/* Styles */
}

At this point, I would definitely consider using em values instead of pixels. For more information, check this post: https://zellwk.com/blog/media-query-units/.
Unless you have more style sheets than that, you've messed up your break points:
#1 (max-width: 700px)
#2 (min-width: 701px) and (max-width: 900px)
#3 (max-width: 901px)
The 3rd media query is probably meant to be min-width: 901px. Right now, it overlaps #1 and #2, and only controls the page layout by itself when the screen is exactly 901px wide.
Edit for updated question:
(max-width: 640px)
(max-width: 800px)
(max-width: 1024px)
(max-width: 1280px)
Media queries aren't like catch or if/else statements. If any of the conditions match, then it will apply all of the styles from each media query it matched. If you only specify a min-width for all of your media queries, it's possible that some or all of the media queries are matched. In your case, a device that's 640px wide matches all 4 of your media queries, so all for style sheets are loaded. What you are most likely looking for is this:
(max-width: 640px)
(min-width: 641px) and (max-width: 800px)
(min-width: 801px) and (max-width: 1024px)
(min-width: 1025px)
Now there's no overlap. The styles will only apply if the device's width falls between the widths specified.
For all smartphones and large screens use this format of media query
/* Smartphones (portrait and landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen and (min-device-width : 320px) and (max-device-width : 480px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Smartphones (landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen and (min-width : 321px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* Smartphones (portrait) ----------- */
#media only screen and (max-width : 320px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (portrait and landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen and (min-device-width : 768px) and (max-device-width : 1024px) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (landscape) ----------- */
#media only screen and (min-device-width : 768px) and (max-device-width : 1024px) and (orientation : landscape) {
/* Styles */
}
/* iPads (portrait) ----------- */
#media only screen and (min-device-width : 768px) and (max-device-width : 1024px) and (orientation : portrait) {
/* Styles */
}
