I'm trying to establish a connection between Cloud SQL and Data Studio. I've already tried to make a connection through the MySQL connector with a MySQL db and it failed because I think the Router did not allow the connection.
Then I transferred the db on the cloud but I have the same error!!! Which is:

I already opened Cloud-SQL to all the Data Studio IP addresses, I've created users with "%" and given them all the privileges, I created instance, db and user in CLOUD-SQL (MySQL, 2nd generation).
What else can I try? Could it still be a Router problem?I have to do that for work but it keeps saying that connector parameters are wrong.

A common error is to write the instance name instead of the "instance connection name".
You can find the "Instance Connection Name" in the instance page, in the overview section, and normally the format is something like:
[PROJECT_ID]:[region]:[NAME_SQL_INSTANCE]
I also had a similar connection problem with MySql 8.0 but changing to 5.7 fixed it.

I'm having trouble connecting or logging in to my SQL Server database. I had a previous working instance before, but I forgot the password and decided to just reinstall the whole thing since I don't have any data to lose. I realized that was a bad idea but now, each time I attempt to log in to my SQL Server, I get the following error message:
I tried to search for an answer, but it seems nothing is working. Here is what I tried so far:
Enabling the Named Pipes from the SQL Server Configuration Manager under the SQL Server Network Configuration tree item
I tried restarting the SQL Server item from the list of services in the Services application
I tried restarting everything in the SQL Server Configuration Manager that is related to my database or at least have my instance's name on it
There are other things that I tried which I fail to remember. Any help would be much appreciated.
I just opened an account on Amazon AWS. In this account, I created a mysql database instance, that I am now trying to connect to on my home computer use mySQL Workbench. I have entered the database endpoint (as listed in my account) and added the user name I set up for the master username for the database. When I hit "test connection" (using standard TCP/IP connection) however, I get a "Failed to connect..." message. I have a feeling that the problem may be that I need to use SSL and/or SSH. But I am a neophyte here, and I don't know how to properly set this up or configure mySQL Workbench with this. I am seeking assistance

I think there that my database instance was misconfigured somehow, though not as JERRY suggests. I created a new MySQL DB instance and was able to connect to that without needing any other special configuration changes. So I am now using the new instance, and have deleted the old one. I wish I could provide more insight into what the problem with the first DB was, but the insight I have is (as I said) after I created the 2nd DB instance, no other configuration was necessary
I'm using Outsystems Service Studio to develop a web application. I need to configure a connection to access a local server database. I get "Connection String test failed: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts." I just figured out I can't connect using "localhost", because the Outsystems server is not local, but I'm not able to find a solution. what is wrong? Other details:
MySQL Server is up and running
I selected MySQL in DBMS
Inserted my schema name
Inserted the username (with all privileges granted)
Inserted the user password
Tried both basic and advanced configuration. I inserted j"dbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/mydb?user=outsystems2" as connection string parameters and I get "Connection String test failed: Keyword not supported.Parameter name: mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/mydb?user". I know this connection string can't work , but I'm not able to find a functioning one. I've read many guides about this configuration, but no solution was found. Is your OutSystems environment on-premises or in the cloud? Either way, you need to make sure that this server is able to reach - it as connectivity - to your MySQL database server. Using localhost or 127.0.0.1 is pretty much the same thing as this is an address for the machine where the request is running, which is, in this case, the OutSystems server. Do you have the MySQL database on your local machine? This is not a good approach as you will need to have an address that won't change otherwise the connection won't be stable and you'd have to reconfigure it all the time.

Using the connection string that worked on another PC, I tried to create a Connection Object in an SSIS package. When I tested the connection I got this error:
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. A TCPIP socket error has occurred (10057): A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied.
Any suggestions on what the cause of this error is and how I might resolve this issue?
By the way, when I use the DB2 Configuration set up utility and test a connection from within that, I am able to successfully connect.
What other info can I provide to help you answer this question?

Could this be related to a blocked port?
If you follow all the steps illustrated here: http://www.bidn.com/blogs/PatrickLeBlanc/ssis/700/connecting-to-db2-using-ssis do you still get the same result?
Maybe a silly question, did you restart the computer after the installation?
Are you an admin user on one machine and not on the other?
You could try to verify the port connectivity with a quick telnet command:
telnet your-db-host your-db-listening-port
If it connects, that one is off the list.
Doing some research I've found two possible fixes.
The first link suggests calling BeginReceive after the EndAccept logic is complete. Are you using script code, or just using the GUI without any scripting?

The second link points to drivers / software on the PC. It could be that you are missing a windows update or have faulty hardware / drivers.
I think this is less likely the case since you could connect to a different machine with the same connection string(?). Can you verify this is a valid statement?

I am trying to connect to a SQL server (2008) database instance in ColdFusion 9 but there is no where to put an instance name in the CF administrator. I can get in with .net using a connection string like so:
Server=myServerName\myInstanceName;Database=myDataBase;User Id=myUsername;
Password=myPassword;
There is a place to enter a connection string in ColdFusion but I don't seem to be able to connect to the right instance (it seems to connect to the default instance). Is there a way to connect ColdFusion to a SQL Server database instance in the administrator?
If you are NOT using ColdFusion's sandbox security then you can specify the instance name in the server field of the datasource definition in the ColdFusion administrator. As you mentioned, you would just specify myServerName\myInstanceName. But...
If you are using ColdFusion's sandbox security then that will not work. I had this same issue when I upgraded to ColdFusion 9 and never did find a resolution. I entered a bug at Adobe for it: ColdFusion 9.0.1 Bug 84928 It has since been closed as "Deferred" with the reason "Not Enough Time".
I found that the connection issue arose when using ColdFusion's sandbox security. Disable it and the datasource will work with the instance name specified per above. Enable it and that same connection will fail.
In order to get around the bug you need to specify the database server only (without the instance name) in the server name field and specify the assigned port number for the named instance in the port number field. See the bug for full details.
Simply enter the Server with a \ and the name of the instance
