The problem is that your MySQL/J connector is too recent, Liferay is not yet compatible with it.
Download the ZIP file at https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/5.1.html and extract it.
Go to your Liferay server's liferay/tomcat-xxxxx/lib/ext folder and remove any mysql-connector-xxxxxxxxx.jar that you find inside
Instead, in that same folder, put the mysql-connector-java-5.1.xx-bin.jar that can be found inside the ZIP that you downloaded at step 1
Stop Tomcat
Drop the MySQL database and recreate it (In MySQL console: drop database lportal; then create database lportal character set utf8;).
Start Tomcat
Now it should work.

We've been using SonarQube for a long time, upgraded over many versions and now executed the long awaited LTS upgrade from version 5.6.6 to 6.7. Unfortunately, the database migration failed due to an SQLException "The table 'project_measures' is full".
Are there any guidelines about what do in such a case?
Is it not okay to upgrade directly from version 5.6.6 to 6.7? Should I first upgrade to some other intermediate version? I thought LTS-to-LTS upgrades should work out fine...

SonarQube is installed on a RHEL7 host using MySQL (rh-mysql57-mysql-server). The database location is /var/opt/rh/rh-mysql57/lib/mysql/sonar and there is free disk space available (but maybe not enough?):
/dev/mapper/vg0-var_opt 20G 17G 3.1G 85% /var/opt
Upgrade 5.6.6 to 6.7 is supported. According to your stack trace you are using MySQL server.
Can you have a look at server log files and the free space available on MySQL (maybe there is no enough space on your MySQL server for the migration) ?
I installed sonarqube-6.3.1 in my machine and created a database in mysql db named 'sonarqubedb'. Now when I am making changes in sonar.properties file to use the database, sonarqube is not getting started and throwing error msg, but If I am using the default DB configuration (and NOT mysql), I am able to start.
Could somebody please provide me a solution what is going wrong when I am using mysql db.
My sonar.properties file be like:
sonar.jdbc.username=root
sonar.jdbc.password=
sonar.jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/sonarqubedb?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf8&rewriteBatchedStatements=true&useConfigs=maxPerformance
and the sonar log file when I try to start service, be like:

Go to your sonarqube/logs directory. You'll find several log files and one of them will contain the detailed error on why sonarqube won't start.(you'll have to scroll all the way down inside the files for the latest information iirc)
Go through this sonar documentation, you will get some help -
https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Installing+the+Server
I had the same issue.
The problem was that my MySQL version didn't meet the minimum requirements.
SnappyData v.0-5
I am logged into Ubuntu as a non-root user, 'foo'.
SnappyData directory/install is owned by 'foo' user and 'foo' group.
I am starting ALL nodes (locator, lead, server) with a script here:
SNAPPY_HOME/sbin/snappy-start-all.sh
Locator starts.
Server starts.
Lead dies with this error.

Do I need to be a different user to start the Lead node? Use 'sudo'? Configure a property to tell Spark to use a directory 'foo' has permission to? Create this directory myself ahead of time?
It seems that the current owner of /tmp/spark-jobserver is some other user. Check the permissions on that directory and delete it.
If multiple users will be running leads on the same machine, you can configure the job-server directories to be elsewhere like mentioned here. The relevant properties can be found in application.conf source. This is probably more trouble than worth, so for now it will be easier to just ensure a single user starts the lead nodes on a machine.
We shall be fixing the default to be inside work/ directory in next release (SNAP-69).
I'm having problems after an upgrade of my Sonar Qube :(
I installed the newest version (5.0) of Sonar Qube using an existing MySQL database. The previous Sonar Qube version was 3.7.4.
I'm using it to analyze a pure ActionScript project using the Flex plugin (Version 2.1).
The problems to me seem threefold:
Just starting the server and viewing previous analysis results I get gray
rects where code quality used to be indicated in shades of green etc.
After installing the Flex plugin using the Update Center this
remains.
Running the sonar-runner (version 2.4) I get two types of errors:
A whole lot of these:
23:35:01.572 DEBUG - Resource org.sonar.api.resources.Directory#46815882[key=path/to/folder] was found using deprecated key. Please update your plugin.
After which the analysis exits with this:

Now I used to have more plugins installed than just Flex (including the mentioned Cobertura) but after installing those Sonar Qube fails to run at all without too much notification (needless to say the runner won't run either).
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance,
Manno
We already faced this issue with files having old Mac line ends (CR or \r). Git will not consider them as line ends so you end up having less lines in your blame than in your file.
You can "clean" your file using mac2unix utility.
Quick question about sonar/jenkins integration.
First, a little background - we're working on implementing the build pipeline plugin, and last night we had an issue where one of our pipeline jobs lost its history. This took out all of our executors (even on the slaves). I tried renaming and I tried bouncing and that didn't work. Finally, I brought down the master, cleared everything from temp and work in Tomcat, and brought it back up. This fixed the issues with my executors.
So this morning I run a build that runs Sonar as a post-build step. Now I am seeing this error:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.codehaus.mojo:sonar-maven-plugin:2.0:sonar (default-cli) on project VendorProduct: Can not execute Sonar: The current batch process and the configured remote server do not share the same DB configuration.

I've verified the configuration against the sonar configuration file, deleted and recreated the post-build step, deleted and recreated the sonar instance on the Jenkins configuration page. I'm at a loss here. Any one have any suggestions?
Thanks!
This message is printed out when a Sonar batch connects to a database which is not the same as the one configured on the Sonar Web server.
In your case, if you go to http://lpwva3279:9000/sonar/system, there are chances that the DB config settings that you'll find are not the same as jdbc:oracle:thin:#dansrzl105si.wellsfargo.com:3203/LBLDFRI1 (QMTDO / *****). You should then go to your Jenkins settings and update the information relating to Sonar to match the one found on the Sonar Web server.
Go to http://host:port/sonar/system:
Copy value "Database URL" into Jenkins configuration ("Database URL")
Copy value "Database Login" into Jenkins configuration ("Database Login")
Copy value "Database Driver" into Jenkins configuration ("Database Driver")
And go to SONAR_HOME/conf/sonar.properties:
Copy value "Database password" into Jenkins configuration ("Database password")
