I can't start wampserver (0x000007b) - mysql

I get the error message:
wampserver cant start correctly (0x000007b).
Initially, wampserver was working well on my pc. Then, I had to delete some folders. I was prompted by windows that a system file was part of the files I was deleting and if I continue, a program might not work properly.
I ignored this because the folders I was deleting were on my desktop, but not directly in drive C.
After this, wamserver stopped working.
I uninstalled it and installed it again, and then I was prompted of some missing files (MSVCP120.dll and MSVCR120.dll).
I downloaded and pasted them in my drive c path :// drive c / windows / sysWOW64 /
I wasn't prompted of missing files anymore, but rather had this message anytime I start wamp:
wampserver cannot start correctly (0x000007b)
I checked and my windows is up to date and am using Direct X 12. I also have the latest .NetFrame work. Please what can I do? Please help.

MySQL is only downloading in zip format. How to fix it? Or how to open?

Yesterday I went to download MySQL, and I managed to install it, when the download finished, I double-clicked and the program opened normally. I created an account just for testing, so I didn't save the password, so I deleted MySQL to create another account... However when I go to download, now only the option to download in Compressed (zipped) Folder format appears, and I have no idea how to open any type of download in that format, I've tried following the steps taught in the videos and I couldn't either.
Is there a way to fix this? Because yesterday MySQL was downloading normally (as in the image below) and I had no difficulty opening it.
But now the download is just like this (as in the image), and I can no longer open the program.
Note: I use the 64 bit version of Windows 10.
I assume you're downloading MySQL community server from it's official page here: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/
If you are, then you can see in the page there are 3 blue buttons
I assume that you are downloading from the "Other Downloads" section (no.2 in image).
could you share the link to the source where you downloaded MySQL?
Usually you should be able to unzip the contents of any .zip file by right clicking the archive in a explorer and choosing extract (not sure what the exact buttons in Windows are called since I don't use it).
Maybe your file got corrupted while you downloaded it (connection issues), have you tried re-downloading it?
I've just searched for the download and started it from the official website
(https://cdn.mysql.com//Downloads/MySQLInstaller/mysql-installer-community-8.0.32.0.msi). This starts the download of an .msi file in my case. Can you confirm that this still starts the download of a .zip file?

Enable LDAP on Xampp Windows

I want to enable LDAP module on my XAMPP Windows 10, here's the few solutions that I've tried :
Copy dll files to System and System32 and uncomment extension=php_ldap.dll in php.ini, both development and production.
Copy libsasl.dll to xampp/apache/bin
None of these working, when I opened phpinfo() there is no ldap info showing, which means the ldap hasn't been able to installed. I also added PHP in Windows Path with no success, but either my approach is wrong or that wasn't a solution. Any help appreciated.
Make sure the path\to\xampp\php directory has the following files
libeay32.dll
libsasl.dll
ssleay32.dll
Usually, you can find these files in path\to\xampp\sendmail - this library also uses them. But if not, try to search for them inside the xampp directory.
Uncomment or add the ldap extension in the php.ini (path\to\xampp\php\php.ini) file
extension=ldap
Restart the server
Make sure the path\to\xampp\php directory is set in the system environment variable PATH. To know how to do it, see this post.
I just ran into the same issue and the link you provided How to enable LDAP extension in XAMPP environment ended up being the solution for me.
I copied libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll from C:/Ampps/php to C:/Windows/System32. I made sure neither of these files were in C:/Windows/System. From there I enabled extension=php_ldap.dll in the php.ini file. Ampps has a list you can enable php.ini dll's and if I remember right so does XAMPP. The last step is to just restart Apache and you should be good to go.
I'm using Windows 10 with Ampps instead of XAMPP but have to think they are pretty close.

Can't execute setup.py (Error 5 - Access Denied)

I ran into a problem creating a new project in Cocos2d-x 3.1.1 (or 3.0 - it happens at both versions).
When I'm running the build script in console (Windows 8 - console with admin privileges) an WindowsError pops up (check the image below).
http://i.imgur.com/Ixg4jEE.png
I can set up the COCOS_CONSOLE_ROOT manually, but it does not help with the Error 5.
I tried setting the 777 priviligies an all cocos2d-x folder and subfolders, but it does not help.
Anybody had the same problem? Any solutions out there?
On Windows you should not put manually installed programs and tools under C:\Program... (english: C:\Program Files) because that's a folder where only apps with a proper installer should go. Otherwise you will keep having permission issues. Apps are not allowed to write to that folder or any of its subfolders.
Since cocos2d-x isn't an app, it can't redirect its output to the proper AppplicationData folder as is mandated by the operating system. Not being able to write or modify the program folder's contents (except during installation) is a security feature in Windows that you can't (or shouldn't) bypass.
To fix this simply extract cocos2d-x in a folder that both you and apps have full read/write permission. Normally this would be in your Documents folder, but Desktop would also work and probably just any folder on a drive that you created, for instance C:\cocos2d-x.
Due to this line:
_winreg.SetValueEx() ...
the actual problem looks like to be with registry access, rather than with file permissions.
Make sure you actually running console as an admin, by:
searching cmd in Windows search, or just creating a shortcut to it to desktop
right clicking to cmd.exe and choosing "Run as administrator"
Make sure you don't have registry access block in any way: like blocking in group policies, some "security optimization" software and viruses and antiviruses.
Make sure your python version is 2.x. Python 3.x is not supported.
Anyway, this 'setup.py' step is optional for using cocos2d-x and you can live without running it at all.

Xcode - Submission error - Unable to create configuration directory

I was trying to submit my second app update and it failed submission after passing validation. This is the error:
"Unable to create configuration directory:/Application/Xcode.app/Contents/iTMSTransportation.woa/.itmstransporter. Cannot save local copy of remote diagnostic configuration;local path is not writable".
My screen shot of the error cannot be attached. I know it is not a network error at Apple's end because it specified a path in the Application Loader in Xcode. Since the system has read and write permissions here, it cannot be because I changed something. I submitted another app successfully earlier on the same day without a problem (as usual). I am at my wits’ end. Anyone experienced this?
Since there is no “Build for Archiving” in Xcode 5 (like in Xcode), I started with following steps:
1 - From the Xcode Product menu I selected “Archive” item
2 - After the Build, the organizer window appeared in the foreground with my archive in it.
3 - I clicked the “Validate…” button and it executed that successfully.
4 - When I clicked the “Distribute…” button, it started uploading the app but failed and came back with the aforementioned error. I went to the folder to see if any folder in the directory path is locked and also to see who has read and write permissions. It is not me but the system. I did a Disk Permission Repair in Disk Utility but that didn't help.
I then removed the offending file “.itmstransporter.” and tried to submit but got a different error. I put it back and took out the other two (ITMSTransporter.cmd and WOBootstrap.jar” but produced a different error. So I restored the folder to its original contents and returned to where I started - stymied. I have considered installing a new version of Xcode 5.0 but I don't know if that will help.
My OS:Mountain Lion 10.8.5, Xcode 5.0, MacBook Retina (first retina in 2012). Project compiled for iOS 7 in the Build Settings.
Thanks for any pointers.

I had the same issue. I copied the whole "Application Loader" out of the XCode package to somewhere else and after that, uploading from the Application Loader worked fine.

Where is a localSharedObject file stored on a Mac

I'm working with localSharedObjects and want to inspect the files that are created on the user's machine. According the the documentation, localSharedObject files are stored on a Mac in the following location: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/web_domain/path_to_application/application_name/object_name.sol
When I try to find the file, I cannot even get to: /Users/username/Library
as the Library file does not exist in that location. Also, I've been searching for files with a .sol extension, but without success.
My question: Where can I find loaclSharedObject files on a Mac running 10.7.5?
There is a Library folder that Mac OS X 10.7 hides. Go to Finder, hold down the Option key and select the Go menu. The Library folder will then appear and you can select it. If you wish to have permanent access to it, you can drag it into the Finder sidebar, or there's a Terminal command to get it to show permanently:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
