On the latest Chrome versions, google has edited the flash settings to 2
Default (ask) to use Flash
or
Block all Sites from using Flash
and this frustrates me alot, having to whitelist every site with flash (I visit many every day) and I was wondering if someone could help me
Yes Ive tried the
Chrome://Flags
Enable Ephemeral Flash use
thing. but they removed it in the latest update, so you cant permanently enable flash, and no I don't want to have to whitelist every site I use and write it in settings, that would take ages, and I visit new sites almost every day.
You can't enable Flash permanently in Chrome. This is not a bug. Chrome deliberately removed this feature.

One day youtube stopped working on all browsers. It loads preview of the video and then loading infinite circle appears. Sometimes it shows the message: if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device. I cleared coockies, history etc. two times. I found something about the hosts file, but the original file contains the same exact thing the guide was recommending to replace. There similar problems with youtube, but i didn't find anything that could possibly solve the issue except the host file.
Whether the problem only occurs on the YouTube site? Try to play some online video from another site, such as Bing and Google.
If this issue only occurs on the YouTube site, perhaps the issue is related the YouTube site, you could check the YouTube help forum and contact with them.
If another site also has the same problem, perhaps the issue is related to your network or computer. Please check the network connection and check which version of OS and Browser version are you using? Then, try to Restart your browser, Restart your router, Restart your computer or Update your browser to the latest version.
Make sure you use propper audio device.
When I try log in to Google Analytics in Chrome, the page doesn't load. Very odd. I just get what you see here:
I've never experienced it before recently, and it works on the same computer with Safari, but for about a week now it hasn't worked on Chrome. Any advice would be appreciated.
Likely an ad blocking plugin that had its ad database updated.
I know this question is old but I thought I'd add my answer.
For me it was adblocker on chrome. Click the hand in the red octagon next to your address bar. Go to options and click "show adds on web or domain", add the the domain https://www.google.com/analytics/ and that should fix it.
Clear your cache and disable any plugins that might be interfering.
Try in incognito or in private browsing as it will stop interference from extensions especially adblocking extensions
I tried on Incognito mode and different browsers but it is still not working. I also tried this on Chrome: Settings > Reset > Restore settings to their original defaults. I am still experiencing the same issue reported in this question. When I gave up trying everything on Windows, I tried from an iPhone (not the app, but visiting Google Analytics from a web browser on my iPhone 7 Plus in Chrome, no success. Then I moved to OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5, and still the same, Google Analytics was not working. After spending several minutes trying, maybe for about an hour or more without success, it suddenly started working everywhere.
My conclusion is that most likely this was a bug in Google Analytics. I should have tested my Internet speed to see if the cause was poor Internet speed, but other pages were loading correctly. So I assume it was simply some kind of bug in Google Analytics.
EDIT: Today I am experiencing the same problem, and this is about 24 hours after the answer above that I posted yesterday. I went to http://www.speedtest.net/ to test my Internet speed, and these are the results:
Ping: 6ms
Download: 2.68 Mbps
Upload: 5.17 Mbps
Then I saw a pop-up telling me that an internal error had happened, and please close and open again the browser. This was definitely a bug in Google Analytics' service.
This is what I was seeing today, with Google Analytics never loading:
My problem was that google analytics wasn't collecting data from some users using browsers like Chrome and Firefox, and also when the users were active on my website, google's Real Time Reporting didn't work.
I found out that the users were using browser plugins like: AdBlock or disconnect.me wich were blocking the data collection.
I hope this helps someone because google brought me here while I was searching the internet for a solution to my problem.
And with some bits from here and some bits from there I managed to figure out what my problem was.
Thanks.
I had the same problem (Chrome, OSX), but I found out it had something to do with my extensions, as Google Analytics would properly load in Incognito Mode. In my case the extension Windscribe - Free VPN and Ad Blocker were preventing Analytics to load. I fixed it by whitelisting the domain.
Today google chrome updated to last version, before that update the website was working without any problem. It's working on firefox and internet explorer without any problem though.
What's wrong with google chrome ?

This issue may be caused by the dreaded 'Pepper' Flash Player, which has also been breaking Flash content for me in Chrome.
I don't know what the solution is for your broader audience of Chrome visitors, but to fix the problem locally:
In a new tab, go to the URL: chrome://plugins/
Find the entry for 'Flash' and expand [+] Details if not already expanded
Look for the entry where the location of the plugin ends: ...PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll and click 'Disable'
You will hopefully have at least one other instance of Flash Player installed (if not, try installing a debug player from Adobe's website), and enable one of these.
I should mention, the Pepper Flash Player seems to regularly re-enable itself, possibly whenever Chome auto-updates itself, and I find myself having to repeat this process every couple of days.
I am trying to get the Privacy Settings Tab to show in our flash/flex4 video chat application we are building. I have 2 systems with latest Flash installed (currently 11.1.102.62). However, the player always shows this (privacy popup question) instead of this (privacy settings tab) when loading the app. The reason i want the settings tab to show is because i need the end user to easily check the "remember" box.
I have tried to call Security.showSettings(SecurityPanel.PRIVACY); before as well as after the getCamera/getMicrophone calls but all that happens is we get 2 popups instead of 1. and still no "remember" option. Actually it doesnt show the privacy tab at all!
Searched tons of forums but have come up empty. I have also searched the adobe docs but all I find is a paragraph stating "if your computer or device doesn't support audio or video recording using Flash Player, you don't need to allow or deny access, and this panel doesn't appear". Which is hardly true since one of the systems we are testing with is a new Macbook Air running latest OSX.
Does anyone have any insight into why this might be happening and how to display the "Privacy Settings" and not the "Privacy pop-up question"?
It seems to be a bug in the current Flash player version. The popup freezes sometimes too.
I've educated users of my application to pre-set their settings.
This website wants to run the following add-on: Adobe Flash Player from ...
why would i be getting this if i am not running any flash on my page?? thanks
There must be some toolbar or add-on trying to access it. Or most of the .cab or .dll uses the ActiveX. May be the reason but not sure.
I had the same problem, and flash was triggered by the Google Analytics tracking code that was added to the page. However this doesn't happen on all IE8 setups. My configuration was Windows XP SP3, IE 8.0.6001.18702.
A quick workaround is disabling the flash tracking by adding _gaq.push(['_setDetectFlash', false]); just before _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
