HTML Bootstrap Start a new line - html

<header>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">
<a class="navbar-brand logo" href="index.php"><span class="logo_main">test1</span>
<span class="logo_sub d-none d-md-block ">test2</span>
<span class="logo_main d-none d-md-block ">Test3</span></a>
</nav>
</header>
Now, I'm doing web design using bootstrap4. But, there's a mysterious bug.
I want to put test2 part and test3 part right after test1 and test2.
But Starting a new line occurs.
How should i do that?

First, note that you have the .d-none class on your test2 and Test3 elements, which hides their display. I assume you'll want to remove this, so I've done so in my examples.
Simply removing .d-none from these two elements causes all three elements to display next to each other, which sounds like what you want:

<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/popper.js/1.12.9/umd/popper.min.js" integrity="sha384-ApNbgh9B+Y1QKtv3Rn7W3mgPxhU9K/ScQsAP7hUibX39j7fakFPskvXusvfa0b4Q" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

<header>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">
<a class="navbar-brand logo" href="index.php">
<span class="logo_main">test1</span>
<span class="logo_sub d-md-block ">test2</span>
<span class="logo_main d-md-block ">Test3</span>
</a>
</nav>
</header>
If instead you actually want to 'create' a new line, so that test2 is below test1, simply make use of <div> elements instead of <span> elements:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-Gn5384xqQ1aoWXA+058RXPxPg6fy4IWvTNh0E263XmFcJlSAwiGgFAW/dAiS6JXm" crossorigin="anonymous">

<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/popper.js/1.12.9/umd/popper.min.js" integrity="sha384-ApNbgh9B+Y1QKtv3Rn7W3mgPxhU9K/ScQsAP7hUibX39j7fakFPskvXusvfa0b4Q" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0/js/bootstrap.min.js" integrity="sha384-JZR6Spejh4U02d8jOt6vLEHfe/JQGiRRSQQxSfFWpi1MquVdAyjUar5+76PVCmYl" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
<header>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">
<a class="navbar-brand logo" href="index.php">
<div class="logo_main">test1</div>
<div class="logo_sub d-md-block ">test2</div>
<div class="logo_main d-md-block ">Test3</div>
</a>
</nav>
</header>
Also note that your <a> tag wraps all three elements in your example. This will cause all three elements to point to the same location. If you want them to point to different locations, you'll want to close the tag after each element, and open a new <a> tag for the proceeding elements.

Try closing the test1 class after test 3

i wanna set my logo to left of browser but it wont
what the problem
Bootstrap 4
Note that the Bootstrap4 docs use the div tag with the float class.
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/utilities/float/
It won't work for a tag.
Bootstrap less that 4
<a href="" class="navbar-brand float-left">
I notice that you have added a float-left class in the anchor tag.
As far as I know, there is no class in Bootstrap as float-left.
You can simply define your own class.
<style>
.float-left {
float:left;
}
</style>
Hope you find it helpful :)
This is a bad practice you are doing because under navbar .container-fluid not using because this is a container where we have to put some other class like row col and etc
<!--navigation-->
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md navbar-light bg-light sticky-top">
<div class="container-fluid">
<img src="img/mehrlogo.png" alt="">
</div>
</nav>
The good practice is simply use bootstrap navbar which is available on many resource from the internet the simple navbar example given below and in bootstrap.min.css file there are many css class just call class name to use in your project.
If you use this code then no need to set float left and float right just use logo under navbar brand with img tag
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.4.1/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.4.1.slim.min.js"></script>

<script src="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.4.1/js/bootstrap.min.js" ></script>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Navbar</a>
<button class="navbar-toggler" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarNav" aria-controls="navbarNav" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">
<span class="navbar-toggler-icon"></span>
</button>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navbarNav">
<ul class="navbar-nav">
<li class="nav-item active">
<a class="nav-link" href="#">Home <span class="sr-only">(current)</span></a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="#">Features</a>

<li class="nav-item">

</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link disabled" href="#">Disabled</a>

you can use list to do that it is very sample like
<!doctype html>

How do I move items in the navigation bar using Bootstrap version 4.3.1

I am having trouble in aligning the content of the navigation bar. I am trying to right align the contents of the menu using the following code.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
<title>Sample Application</title>
#Styles.Render("~/Content/css")

<h1 align="Center">Sample Application</h1>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md " style="background-color:#993300">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav ml-auto ">
<li>
#Html.ActionLink("Help!", "Help", "Home", new { area = "" }, new { #class = "navbar-brand", #style = "color:white" })
</li>
</ul>
</nav>
#RenderBody()
</body>
</html>
and here is the output.
I would like to move Help towards left as shown with the arrow. How do i accomplish this? Any help would be appreciated
If you wrap your navbar contents in a container it will restrict the width to the container width. and bring them in some. If you want a specific right margin, you would have to define that yourself. You should also add the nav-item class to your li elements and nav-link class to your a tag.

I do hope you know that <link> and <meta> should be in the <head> of the HTML document structure
You will also need to include the following scripts before the </body> of the document to make your Bootstrap Navbar (and other Bootstrap elements) to work properly.
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.2.1.slim.min.js" integrity="sha384-KJ3o2DKtIkvYIK3UENzmM7KCkRr/rE9/Qpg6aAZGJwFDMVNA/GpGFF93hXpG5KkN" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

Most likely the problem is in .js, but you can also exclude the <div class="container"> and put the <a href="#" class="navbar-brand"> link before the button, the same way it is done in the Bootstrap guide.

How to center Icon in navbar with bootstrap

I'm trying to create navbar with a hamburger on the left and icon centered. How can I do this with responsively?
I tried to use mx-auto (margin-left margin-right: auto) but since I have a inline block on the left, the centered icon is pushed to the left.
I have also tried making the navbar d-flex and add justify-content-center but it just did nothing...
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-Gn5384xqQ1aoWXA+058RXPxPg6fy4IWvTNh0E263XmFcJlSAwiGgFAW/dAiS6JXm" crossorigin="anonymous">

</button>
<img src="https://picsum.photos/20" alt="apple icon" class="d-flex justify-content-center mx-auto" id="icon">
</nav>
</div>
Expected result:
- Hamburger stays left, but apple icon stay center.
Actual result:
- apple icon pushed slightly right by hamburger,
- or nothing changed at all, just sitting at the right side.
This works perfectly with your above code. Check the below screenshot.
Make sure you have added the bootstrap4 css file
Lewis, Your code is working fine. I just added bootstrap4 CSS file. Below is my code.
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.3.1/css/bootstrap.min.css" />
<div class="pos-f-t">
<nav
id="navbar"
class="navbar navbar-expand-sm fixed-top navbar-dark bg-dark d-flex flex-row"
>
<button class="navbar-toggler d-flex justify-content-start" type="button">
<span class="navbar-toggler-icon"></span>
</button>
<img
src="http://www.newdesignfile.com/postpic/2012/09/small-apple-logo_154074.jpg"
alt="apple icon"
class="d-flex justify-content-center mx-auto"
id="icon"
width="50px"
/>
</nav>
</div>
What you can do here is that add a right padding equal to the width of the navbar toggle button (width = 56px) to navbar. It already has a right padding of 16px. So, our total padding should be 16px + 56px = 72px.
This will align the image exactly in the center of the navbar.
.navbar-fix {
padding-right: 72px !important;
}

Changing H1 font-family in bootstrap 4

So I was wondering how to change the H1 font-family in Bootstrap 4? Can't seem to get it right.. I'm kind of new to this bootstrap thing, so I followed a tutorial on Youtube, but they didn't explain how to change the font-family..
See the code here: (I deleted my css, because it didn't work at all and I honestly didn't even know what I was doing)
<div class="container">
