Hi I am currently working on delphi intraweb. I try to import html template file to the program instead of hard-code it by using components from tool palette. However, I cannot find anyway to interact with the html file satisfyingly. For example, I want to handle the values of input box in the html file or adding data to data table through delphi. Or should I perform the tasks through other aspects?
I am using IWTemplateProcessorHTML to load external html template to delphi but I couldnt figure out a way to pass values from the html file to delphi or from delphi to that html file in run-time. There is not coding involved yet.
Thanks.

I am trying to use Node.js to implement Data Scrawling. I used axios to GET HTML file and use cheerio to get data.
However, I found that the HTML doesn't return with data but only layout. I guess the website with load the layout first, then doing ajax things to query data then rendering.
So, Anyone know how to GET the full HTML with data? Any library or tools?
Thanks.
i would suggest you to use selenium library with bs4 library in python if have some experience on python.
for node
https://www.npmjs.com/package/selenium-webdriver
i have written scraper in python using both library.
scraper is for linked in profile which take name from excel file and search if data available add it into another excel file
https://github.com/harsh4870/Scraper_LinkedIn
for node code goes like
driver = webdriver.Firefox();
driver.get("http://example.com");
html = driver.getPageSource();
I am trying to create a feature which allows a user to upload a txt file or the content of a file from a HTML web page and populate an Excel sheet (Excel template).
My Excel will have some rules in order to assess data populated.
I do not know how to create this bridge and which language is needed? I was thinking of PHP (as there should be some APIs). What about JS?
Thank you for your answers.
You can use a library such as SheetsJS to do this. You can both parse and write to Excel with this. You would need to have properly formatted data to pass to it though.

I want to know if it is possible to create a Drop-down list in HTML using Only a txt file?
I have a list of places/countries, instead of creating for each, can i import it somehow from a txt file while each country is set in a single line?
(i know how it's done using php, i just wonder if it could be done without it)
Using pure html? No.
You will either need to use a preprocessor (sed,perl,etc) to generate the html page or a dynamic language to do it at run time - html is a static language.
You should be able to do it with javascript, but the only way I can think of involves making the txt file available on the web and using a XMLHttpRequest() to get it. There is the new file api in html5, but that is aimed at local (to the client) files.
I've generated a table using play's #{list} tag and get pretty decent results. Now I need to be able to generate and download an xls version of the table and have no idea what to do. Any pointers at all will be much appreciated
Well you have various options.
Excel will open HTML files. So instead of rendering your table as HTML you can it to stream it to the browser and set the content type as XLS.
While Excel will open it this it will still be an HTML file rather than an XLS(X) document.
You can generate as CSV from your data model and stream this to the browser. Again this will be a CSV rather than a proper XLS(X) document.
There also seem to be some solutions around which can do it using Javscript. See as a starting point: Generate excel sheet from html tables using jquery
Finally you can can use something like Apache POI or JXLS to generate a 'proper' xls(x) document and stream this to the browser. I have some code here that will export HTML to 'proper' xlsx file if this is the route you wish to go. Workflow is then to create some HTML from your data model and use this to convert to Excel rather than having to programmatically build the Excel document using POI. https://github.com/alanhay/html-exporter
I want to make a program that prepares an HTML file. It would either be on the server side or just running in my local machine.
I think it would be nice to be able to use the dart:html library since it has a lot of methods for manipulating html (obviously). But it is thought to be used dynamically on the client side, and I want to use it like this: manipulate an html DOM tree with dart:html, and when its ready, write a static html file. For instance using query('body').innerHtml
The problem I'm running into is that I if start a project with the "console application" template, I am not able to make dart:html talk to an html file. And if I choose "web application", in which I am able to do this, I cannot load the dart:io library, maybe it has to do with it being tagged as [server] in the SDK?
Of course I could just do:
print(query('body').innerHtml);
and manually copying the output to a file, but I thought maybe there is a more elegant solution.
See html5lib.
html5lib in Pure Dart
This is a pure Dart html5 parser. It's a port of
html5lib from Python. Since it's 100% Dart you can use it safely from
a script or server side app.
Eventually the parse tree API will be compatible with dart:html, so
the same code will work on the client or the server.
It doesn't support much in the way of queries yet.
