Google Data Studio - When is resetAuth() being called? - google-apps-script

I am having troubles with the resetAuth() function. I implemented it roughly like this example, but I have no idea when it is being called. Adding a console output and observing the Stackdriver Log tells me that this function is never being called during what I would call a normal workflow.
The documentation is weirdly brief and is missing this part about why I need to implement it and when it is being called. Do I need to call resetAuth() manually on some point? Is there a button somewhere that calls this function?
I'm using the AuthType USER_PASS by the way and everything else seems to work just fine after some investigation and debugging.

Does this mean that calling resetAuth() is currently not yet implemented?

resetAuth is called when the user revokes access to the connector via the https://datastudio.google.com/datasources/create endpoint.
There was a bug that caused this function to not be called for certain auth types, but it has been resolved.

Couchbase Sync-Gateway Multiple Clients

I'am currently playing around with the Couchbase Sync-Gateway and have built a demo app.
What is the intended behavior if a user logs in with the same username on a different device (which has an empty database) or if he deleted the local database?
I'am expecting that all the data from the server should get synced back to the clients.
Is this correct?
My problem is that if i'am deleting the database or login from a different device, nothing will get synced.
Ok i figured it out and it's exactly how i thought it would be.
If i log in from a different device i get all the data synced automatically.
My problem was the missing sync function. I thought it will use a default and route all documents to the public channel automatically.
I'am now using the following simple sync-function:

}`
This will simply route all documents to the public channel and grant my demo-user access to it.
I think this shouldn't be used in production but it's a good starting point for playing around.
Now everything is working fine.

If you don't supply a sync function, Sync Gateway uses the following default sync function

The channels property is an array of strings that contains the names of the channels to which the document belongs. If you do not include a channels property in a document, the document does not appear in any channels.

Chainlink Request Event Emit - Unsure whether events are being emitted, requests seem to be sucessful

I am trying to learn how to use the ChainlinkClient and I am using their example as well as one for the API that I am trying to uses.

The two contracts in the Gist are deployed on Rinkenby here:

When I call the requestData() method on both contracts they seems to work, the transactions goes through and Link gets taken from the contracts, I am however unable to determine whether the actual data I am requesting from the external APIs gets returned, either by looking in the transaction event or trying to access the value that I am setting.
I am a bit bamboozled at this point, any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Data Studio Connector can't get access token for BigQuery Service Account: Access not granted or expired

I'm trying to make a community connector to connect my database in BigQuery to data studio with the service account that I hooked up as the Owner/DataViewer/JobUser of the BigQuery project. I know that the service account works when connecting to BigQuery because I've tested it elsewhere. I copied from the connector code from this tutorial (https://developers.google.com/datastudio/solution/blocks/using-service-accounts) almost exactly, replacing the SQL string with my query and adding some different query parameters. I also stored the service account's credentials in my script properties by pasting the json object and storing it like:

However, I always get stuck in the flow when my getData function calls getOauthService().getAccessToken(), which doesn't ever successfully return. When I create a report using the connector, I get this error: "Access not granted or expired." I can't find the documentation for getAccessToken and I'm having trouble understanding why it won't terminate. I can see that it doesn't return because a console.log immediately before that line displays but it never gets to the log on the next line. Then my try-catch block catches the error that I'm seeing. Note that my getOauthService function is exactly the same as the one from the documentation/tutorial example, except that I've played around with the input text in the call to createService. That input text shouldn't really matter though right?
Please, I've been trying to debug this for hours, but the documentation on this is pretty horrible, and it's really hard to debug since the flow of the code is handled in the background and stackdriver logging is really buggy.
I figured out my problem. The documentation posted above said to set the OAuth2 scope to https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery.readonly. However, I naively included
"oauthScopes": ["https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery.readonly"]
in my manifest file. Meanwhile, the code I copied over from the documentation already included this line:
.setScope(['https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery.readonly']);
So I'm not sure exactly why this caused a problem. But it must have prevented the OAuth2.createService function from properly getting set.

I am using Java client library to fetch the contacts. Can you please let me know is there an issue in the java client library? This issue is there for a long time and I badly need to find a solution for this...What should I do to make it work...Any help will be grateful..

I got the same Problem, that you have with the Java Client, with the .NET client.
After contacting Google support, they told me that the Contacts arbitrary XML data which is in an Property element cannot be parsed within my version of GData .
However, there is a time intensive workaround, by deleting and recreating Contacts, but thats probably not what you are looking for, me either.
After switching to the Python implementation all works fine now.

How do BundleActivator, ManagedService, and my application interact on start/stop?

I had a non-OSGi application. To convert it to OSGi, I first bundled it up and gave it a simple BundleActivator. The activator's start() started up a thread of what used to be the main() of my app (and is now a Runnable), and remembered that thread. The activator's stop() interrupted that thread, and waited for it to end (via join()), then returned. This all seemed to be working fine.
As a next step in the OSGiification process, I am now trying to use OSGi configuration management instead of the Properties-based configuration that the application used to use. So I am adding in a ManagedService in addition to the Activator.
But it's no longer clear to me how I am supposed to start and stop my application; examples that I've seen are only serving to confuse me. Specifically, here:

They no longer seem to do any real starting of the application in BundleActivator.start(). Instead, they just register a ManagedService to receive configuration. So I'm guessing maybe I start up the app's main thread when I receive configuration, in the ManagedService? They don't show it - the ManagedService's updated() just has vague comments saying to "apply configuration from config admin" when it is passed a non-null Dictionary.
So then I look here:

In there, it seems like maybe they're doing what I guessed. They seem to have moved the actual app from BundleActivator to ManagedService, and are dealing with starting it when updated() receives non-null configuration, stopping it first if it's already started.
But now what about when the BundleActivator's stop() gets called?
Back on the first example page that I mentioned above, they unregister the ManagedService. On the second example page, they don't show what they do.
So I'm guessing maybe unregistering the ManagedService will cause null configuration to be sent to ManagedService.updated(), at which point I can interrupte the app thread, wait for it to end, and then return?
I suspect that I'm thoroughly incorrect, but I don't know what the "real" way to do this is. Thanks in advance for any help.
BundleActivator (BA) and ManagedService (MS) are callbacks to your bundle. BundleActivator is for the active state of your bundle. BA.start is when you bundle is being started and BA.stop is when it is being stopped. MS is called to provide your bundle a configuration, if there is one, or notify you there is no configuration.
So in BA.start, you register your MS service and return. When MS is called (on some other thread), you will either receive your configuration or be told there is no configuration and you can act accordingly (start app, etc.)
Your MS can also be called at anytime to advice of the modification or deletion of your configuration and you should act accordingly (i.e. adjust your app behavior).
When you are called at BA.stop, you need to stop your app. You can unregister the MS or let the framework do it for you as part of normal bundle stop processing.
