how to change sequelize inner join output format - mysql

I have a problem in Sequelize. I have a query than gets data through an inner join and the response data comes in the following format;
`item.Item_name`
how do i change the output to
`Item_name`
when using raw sql we use as to provide an alias to the query outputs. my question is how do i do that within sequelize. or is there any other method to fix this. or can anyone let me know the method to read the above data format within react-native.Thanks

For that , You need to define attributes at the top level of include :
attributes : [['item.Item_name','Item_name']]
And I think , you are using raw:true in your query , that is why you
are getting name like that , remove that and you will get proper
nested values.

JSON_VALUE not working in old version. is there any other way in SQL to get a value from a JSON

So the main problem I'm having is that I really need to get a value from another table that is in JSON format, obviously I thought, well just use JSON_VALUE to get the property I want... Problem arises when I created in adonis the migration, and surprise. After running the migrations I realise I can't use JSON_VALUE because of the version of adonis server. Is there another way I can get the value?
Well, it was easier than I'd expected. I could, because I wanted to search a String inside the JSON it was as easy as using LIKE. Example
user.settings was a JSON more less like:
'{"platform" : "windows"}'
UPDATE order
SET order.platform = (
SELECT
CASE
WHEN users.settings LIKE '%mac%' THEN 'mac'
WHEN users.settings LIKE '%windows%' THEN 'windows'
ELSE NULL
END
FROM users
WHERE users.id = orders.user_id
)

how to include hard-coded value to output from mysql query?

I've created a MySQL sproc which returns 3 separate result sets. I'm implementing the npm mysql package downstream to exec the sproc and get a result structured in json with the 3 result sets. I need the ability to filter the json result sets that are returned based on some type of indicator in each result set. For example, if I wanted to get the result set from the json response which deals specifically with Suppliers then I could use some type of js filter similar to this:
var supplierResultSet = mySqlJsonResults.filter(x => x.ResultType === 'SupplierResults');
I think SQL Server provides the ability to include a hard-coded column value in a SQL result set like this:
select
'SupplierResults',
*
from
supplier
However, this approach appears to be invalid in MySQL b/c MySQL Workbench is telling me that the sproc syntax is invalid and won't let me save the changes. Do you know if something like what I'm trying to achieve is possible in MySQL and if not then can you recommend alternative approaches that would help me achieve my ultimate goal of including some type of fixed indicator in each result set to provide a handle for downstream filtering of the json response?
If I followed you correctly, you just need to prefix * with the table name or alias:
select 'SupplierResults' hardcoded, s.* from supplier s
As far as I know, this is the SQL Standard. select * is valid only when no other expression is added in the selec clause; SQL Server is lax about this, but most other databases follow the standard.
It is also a good idea to assign a name to the column that contains the hardcoded value (I named it hardcoded in the above query).
In MySQL you can simply put the * first:
SELECT *, 'SupplierResults'
FROM supplier
Demo on dbfiddle
To be more specific, in your case, in your query you would need to do this
select
'SupplierResults',
supplier.* -- <-- this
from
supplier
Try this
create table a (f1 int);
insert into a values (1);
select 'xxx', f1, a.* from a;
Basically, if there are other fields in select, prefix '*' with table name or alias

How to get a specific value from json with similar tags with T-SQL

I have a nvarchar(max) column with a json blob structured like this:
[
{"QuestionName":"Question1", "AnswerValue":"123456"},
{"QuestionName":"Question2", "AnswerValue":"987654"},
{"QuestionName":"Question3", "AnswerValue":"951753"}
]
I would like to do this in a set based operation as I am pulling back over 50k records. I would like to get the Answer Value where QuestionName = Question2.
In the case above I'd like to return 987654. This value may not be in the exact same place of the array every time.
I am very green when working with JSon, let alone using it in SQL Server. I believe what I want is something like
JSON_VALUE(MyJSonColumn, '???')
but I'm not sure how to actually get what I need.
You could use OPENJSON:
SELECT a.questionName, a.answerValue
FROM t
CROSS APPLY OPENJSON(col)
WITH(QuestionName VARCHAR(100) N'$."QuestionName"', AnswerValue INT N'$."AnswerValue"') AS a
WHERE questionName = 'Question2';

JSON Queries - Failed to execute

So, I am trying to execute a query using ArcGIS API, but it should match any Json queries. I am kind of new to this query format, so I am pretty sure I must be missing something, but I can't figure out what it is.
This page allows for testing queries on the database before I actually implement them in my code. Features in this database have several fields, including OBJECTID and Identificatie. I would like to, for example, select the feature where Identificatie = 1. If I enter this in the Where field though (Identificatie = 1) an error Failed to execute appears. This happens for every field, except for OBJECTID. Querying where OBJECTID = 1 returns the correct results. I am obviously doing something wrong, but I don't get it why OBJECTID does work here. A brief explanation (or a link to a page documenting queries for JSON, which I haven't found), would be appreciated!
Identificatie, along with most other fields in the service you're using, is a string field. Therefore, you need to use single quotes in your WHERE clause:
Identificatie = '1'
Or to get one that actually exists:
Identificatie = '1714100000729432'
OBJECTID = 1 works without quotes because it's a numeric field.
Here's a link to the correct query. And here's a link to the query with all output fields included.

Why is my query wrong?

before i use alias for table i get the error:
: Integrity constraint violation: 1052 Column 'id' in field list is ambiguous
Then i used aliases and i get this error:
unknown index a
I am trying to get a list of category name ( dependant to a translation) and the associated category id which is unique. Since i need to put them in a select, i see that i should use the lists.
$categorie= DB::table('cat as a')
->join('campo_cat as c','c.id_cat','=','a.id')
->join('campo as d','d.id','=','c.id_campo')
->join('cat_nome as nome','nome.id_cat','=','a.id')
->join('lingua','nome.id_lingua','=','lingua.id')
->where('lingua.lingua','=','it-IT')
->groupby('nome.nome')
->lists('nome.nome','a.id');
The best way to debug your query is to look at the raw query Laravel generates and trying to run this raw query in your favorite SQL tool (Navicat, MySQL cli tool...), so you can dump it to log using:
DB::listen(function($sql, $bindings, $time) {
Log::info($sql);
Log::info($bindings);
});
Doing that with yours I could see at least one problem:
->where('lingua.lingua','=','it-IT')
Must be changed to
->where('lingua.lingua','=',"'it-IT'")
As #jmail said, you didn't really describe the problem very well, just what you ended up doing to get around (part of) it. However, if I read your question right you're saying that originally you did it without all the aliases you got the 'ambiguous' error.
So let me explain that first: this would happen, because there are many parts of that query that use id rather than a qualified table`.`id.
if you think about it, without aliases you query looks a bit like this: SELECT * FROM `cat` JOIN `campo_cat` ON `id_cat` = `id` JOIN `campo` ON `id` = `id_campo`; and suddenly, MySQL doesn't know to which table all these id columns refer. So to get around that all you need to do is namespace your fields (i.e. use ... JOIN `campo` ON `campo`.`id` = `campo_cat`.`id_campo`...). In your case you've gone one step further and aliased your tables. This certianly makes the query a little simpler, though you don't need to actually do it.
So on to your next issue - this will be a Laravel error. And presumably happening because your key column from lists($valueColumn, $keyColumn) isn't found in the results. This is because you're referring to the cat.id column (okay in your aliased case a.id) in part of the code that's no longer in MySQL - the lists() method is actually run in PHP after Laravel gets the results from the database. As such, there's no such column called a.id. It's likely it'll be called id, but because you don't request it specifically, you may find that the ambiguous issue is back. My suggestion would be to select it specifically and alias the column. Try something like the below:
$categories = DB::table('cat as a')
->join('campo_cat as c','c.id_cat','=','a.id')
->join('campo as d','d.id','=','c.id_campo')
->join('cat_nome as nome','nome.id_cat','=','a.id')
->join('lingua','nome.id_lingua','=','lingua.id')
->where('lingua.lingua','=','it-IT')
->groupby('nome.nome')
->select('nome.nome as nome_nome','a.id as a_id') // here we alias `.id as a_id
->lists('nome_nome','a_id'); // here we refer to the actual columns
It may not work perfectly (I don't use ->select() so don't know whether you pass an array or multiple parameters, also you may need DB::raw() wrapping each one in order to do the aliasing) but hopefully you get my meaning and can get it working.
