I am trying to learn Xtend and Eclipse plugin development at the same time. I created an Eclipse plugin project and added three Xtend classes to implement Parts in the application model. If I leave the project as a plugin based project and I try to launch it from the product configuration, everything works fine.
However, if I convert it to a feature based project and try to launch it from the product configuration, I get an error trying to resolve com.google.guava.
Here is the error log:

I have been unable to figure out how to specify the additional Xtend dependencies in a feature project and need advice.
As the error message says, your product doesn't contain the Guava plugin.
As you want your product to be feature-based you have to add a feature that contains the Guava plugin. If necessary, you can define your own feature for that.

I'm trying to configure a Spring Boot project to use net.logstash.logback.encoder.LogstashEncoder to format log output in JSON and provide the ability to use the keyValue method for adding custom fields to the output. I know there are other ways of doing it, but many of our current applications using an older version of Spring use this technique and it works well. In order to update those applications, we'd like to be able to use the same configuration.
The problem I'm having is that with the following logstash.xml file:
<configuration>
<appender name="json" class="ch.qos.logback.core.ConsoleAppender">
<encoder class="net.logstash.logback.encoder.LogstashEncoder"/>
</appender>
<root level="INFO">
<appender-ref ref="json" />
</root>
</configuration>
I'm getting the following error when starting the app:

If I look in com.fasterxml.jackson.datatype.hibernate5.Hibernate5Module, there is a public no-arg constructor.
Relevant dependency versions:
Spring Boot*: 2.7.2
Jackson*: 2.13.3 (managed by Spring Boot)
Logback*: 1.2.11 (managed by Spring Boot)
Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?
Turns out this was an incompatibility between logstash-logback-encoder and jackson-datatype-hibernate5. Whenever I try to use the logstash encoder with jackson-datatype-hibernate5 on the classpath, the error occurs. I've raised an issue in the logstash github repo here: https://github.com/logfellow/logstash-logback-encoder/issues/878

I found following questions:

I found a work-around with Hudson (3.3.3) free-style project and Maven 3 Build Plugin (3.0.5):

Currently I'm looking in the Force.com Canvas Developer's Guide at "Chapter 3: Quick Start--Advanced".
I've successfully cloned SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK from GitHub, and am now trying to Run the Web App Locally.
The build is successful and keystore has been created. However, when I execute target\bin\webapp.bat, I get the following error:

If it is relevant:
OS: Windows 7
Java: 1.8.0_25
Maven: 3.2.2
Any help to resolve this will be appreciated!
I was able to fix this as follows on MacOS Sierra 10.13.6
The problem does seem to be with Java 8, so if you can start the whole installation with Java 7, you'll save a lot of time. In my case, I had already installed Java 8, so I had to do the following:
1- Install java 7 from: https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html . You have to create an Oracle account, it's free.
2- Confirm both versions of java are runningv
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ /usr/libexec/java_home -V
Matching Java Virtual Machines (2):
1.8.0_191, x86_64: "Java SE 8" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_191.jdk/Contents/Home
1.7.0_80, x86_64: "Java SE 7" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_80.jdk/Contents/Home
3- Then
export JAVA_HOME=`/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.7.0_80`
export JAVACMD=`/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.7.0_80`
Confirm that Java 7 is the default version now
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_80"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_80-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.80-b11, mixed mode)
5- Then
export JAVACMD=/usr/bin/java
6- Finally
Pablos-MacBook-Pro:SalesforceCanvasFrameworkSDK pabloalvarez$ sh target/bin/webapp
Looks like we are NOT running on heroku.

I'm very new to Pentaho, and I need to install it on my machine to start a BI project. I installed the last community version from the community website (biserver-ce-5.1.0.0-752), set the PENTAHO_JAVA_HOME to point to my JDK 1.8 installation and simply unzip the file and run

Please guys, help me... Thanks a lot
Pentaho 5.1 was not tested and does not support JDK 1.8.
I'd advise running jdk 1.7.
Remember that you can set the path to java JRE in the enviroment variable PENTAHO_HOME. This way you do not need to change JAVA_HOME.
You have to patch JdkVersion properly - get JdkVersion.java for spring 2.5.6
add couple lines like
if (javaVersion.contains("1.9.")) {
majorJavaVersion = JAVA_19;
}
else if (javaVersion.contains("1.8.")) {
majorJavaVersion = JAVA_18;
}
compile it for java 1.4 (it is worth to use java 1.7 or less):
$ javac -source 1.4 -target 1.4 org/springframework/core/JdkVersion.java
check it has the proper bytecode class version
$ javap -v org/springframework/core/JdkVersion.class | grep "major version"
major version: 48
patch spring-2.5.6.jar and spring-core-2.5.6.jar like
$ jar uvf spring-2.5.6.jar org
check that no other spring-2.5.6.jar or spring-core-2.5.6.jar in classpath (it could be in plugins as well)
I'm trying to use org.sqlite.JDBC to create and update a sqlite database in ant.
The sqlitejdbc-v056.jar comes from http://www.zentus.com/sqlitejdbc/ and is the latest version (056)
This is my build.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<project name="My Project" default="mytarget" basedir=".">
<path id="antclasspath">
<fileset dir="_ant">
<include name="*.jar"/>
</fileset>
</path>
<target name="mytarget">
<property name="antclasspathar" refid="antclasspath" />
<echo message="Classpath is ${antclasspathar}"/>
<sql
driver="org.sqlite.JDBC"
url="jdbc:sqlite:C:/Projects/dummy/test.db"
userid=""
password=""
classpathref="antclasspath"
>
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS people;
CREATE TABLE people (name, occupation);
</sql>
</target>
</project>
This is the output I get:

DDL (Data Definition Language, e.g. CREATE, DROP, etc) statements does not return a ResultSet while your Ant script is apparently expecting it. At least, the SQLException is basically telling that you. I don't do Ant extensively, so I can't go in detail, but you at least need to change the script so so that no return value is expected.
