I have a report with a few calculations on it that gives weights in kg. The weights vary from 12.5kg to 1200kg. This is driving me crazy but I can't figure out how to make an input mask for this field! If the weight has a decimal place it won't put the "kg" behind it.
In the table set the required field as follows: Field size: Double, Format: Standard, Decimal places: 2. This will let you save decimal values.
At the report set 'Format' property to &" Kg" for required control. I have attached a few screenshots :

I have an input mask of JAAA-AAA on a TextBox, so when the user enters that input field, they will see this: "J___-___".
However, when they fill it out like so, J123-321, and I get the value using [myfield].Value, it says that the value is only 123321. It strips the preset 'J' and '-' I had in there. How can I prevent the stripping of these characters when I retrieve the value from this field?
You need to set the second part of the input mask property to 0.
If you look at the documentation, you can see it has 3 parts, and the 2nd part controls if the mask is stored with the data, or only the data is stored.
The final mask property would be the following:
\JAAA\-AAA;0;_

As you can see I am formatting input text to make sure it has two decimal values. It does work correctly when user enters the value in input box. onBlur event I am checking the value entered by user and if it is not within the range (min >mynumber>max) then I am setting mynumber with min value. Problem is mynumber displays min value with no formatting. forex: If min valule is 10 then input box should display 10.00 but it displays only 10..any idea how can I fix this? I am using angular2
Update: I think problem in my case is with somehow related to binding..When I update mynumber from my component and the new value is reflected in UI but its formatting is lost. mynumber variable is of type number. I need to find a way to update value with formatting from component

If you want to format mynumber at your component with an angular way, try using built-in DecimalPipe at your component(the same as number pipe used at your template).

How do I format a number with 2 decimal places to a whole number?
I used the Lookup function to get a result, but formatting decimal to whole number does not work for this value. I did Text box properties -> number -> whole number doesn't work for one of my value. Also customize number to #,### but its not changing anything.
How do I make this value display as a whole number?
You may be confusing how the number is displayed (which can be controlled using text box properties) and it's actual value. It sounds like the value returned from the lookup is not a number, it might be a string/text value instead which would explain why it was not affected by number formatting.
One option is to convert the value to an integer (whole number) in the lookup expression itself, using a function to convert the value: CInt()
For example if your expression currently looks something like this:
=Lookup(Fields!SomeField.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField1.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField2.Value, "SomeDataset")
then you can change it to:
=CInt(Lookup(Fields!SomeField.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField1.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField2.Value, "SomeDataset"))
Or if you want to keep the original value, but just change how it is displayed then convert to a decimal value instead:
=CDec(Lookup(Fields!SomeField.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField1.Value, Fields!SomeDatasetField2.Value, "SomeDataset"))
and then use the text box formatting options to control the displayed format.
I have certain product codes with varying number of letters/digits e.g. 53HD6J, HH88WBD3 (varies between 5 to 10 letters/digits). In order for our barcode to scan these correctly there has to be 13 letters/digits. I don't want to make the user to input -XXXX after each code but rather have Access calculate the difference between 13 and the length of the code and fill the remaining with a X's. Is this possible either by vba or and expression?
I currently am using about 6 IIFs in one formula to fill remaining blanks with X's but hoping there is an easier way.
I have a form to enter in the batch number (product code). Once that form is submitted it links to a report that is printed. On the report are those batch numbers (53HD6J, HH88WBD3). The spot I want to have this feature is in a text box right next to the codes where Access determines the length of the codes and computes the remaining X's to add. This is in barcode font so this text box is where the 53HD6JXXXXXXX would go. Hope that clears it up!
So I have that part figured out. My problem now is my barcode font reads the text no matter what and translates it still so barcode shows up when the batch number is blank (I have four spots for batch codes to be inputted). So what I had before was =IIf([Text31]="",""&[Text31]&"","") which seemed to work. Hopefully I can continue this with the new formula. If that's unclear let me know.

You can do what you want with String() and Left().
Here is an example from the Access Immediate window:
product_code = "53HD6J"
? product_code & String(13, "X")

? Left(product_code & String(13, "X"), 13)

Based on the update to your question, I think you can use that approach for the Control Source of a text box where you want to display the "expanded" product code.
Pretend your report has a text box named txtProduct_code where the raw product code, such as 53HD6J, is displayed. And there is a second text box where you want to display that value with the required number of X characters (53HD6JXXXXXXX).
Use this as the Control Source property of that second text box:
= Left([txtProduct_code] & String(13, "X"), 13)
Alternatively, you could make it a field expression in the report's Record Source query.

In my HTML markup I have an input of type text which has a two-way binding (using ng-model) to a decimal property. The object which contains this decimal property is fetched using a Breeze query on the client side. I can see that the Breeze query has successfully fetched the data and can see the initial value of the property (i.e. 1.25) in the text input. If I delete the decimal point and try to type it in again it will not allow me to do so and at this point I can only type in a number - effectively what I end up with is an integer value.
Can anyone tell me if Angular or Breeze is doing something behind the scenes that is limiting a text input to only being able to accept numbers instead of any text. I've inspected the input element in question in the browser to see if anything extra was "bolted on" that may have caused this but nothing jumps out. The "fix" or workaround would be change the input type to number and set the step attribute to "any" but nevertheless I would still like to understand the cause so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue and I think the problem is that due to the two-way binding the value is expected to be valid at any given moment. Apparently "1." is not a valid number so it doesn't like it. If you type "125" and then go back and insert the "." it will accept "1.25".
My current solution is to use debounced updates:

If you do not want timeouts at all you could use just:
ng-model-options="{ updateOn: 'blur' }

Depending on your localization settings, the numeric input field may accept only numbers and commas (not decimal points). As the validation is done on unser input, angular is able to set the value with the decimal point without failing.
By the way, why would you want to use breeze, when AngularJS has all you need to link your fields to the model?
