Hello I just finished my a project this last spring and built a ~1500 line Python/MySQL Raspberry Pi home automation server. I have a home server built with Ubuntu Server installed and have everything setup on the GUI at the moment for debugging. I would like to have it setup so that as soon as the the server turns on manually or by wake on LAN that it automatically runs my python script. The issue I have had with this method is that since there are many threads in the program I cannot use control-c to stop the program and this would prevent me from accessing the GUI for more debugging in the future. I have had not experience with Ubuntu server and would like to know the options here.

When I run 'npm run build' in the vsCode terminal ,within a few seconds, it compiles. However, when I run 'npm run build' on the ubuntu 20.04 server after I've pulled my code from gihub, it takes hours and then never actually compiles. The reason is usually a memory leak, but I started increasing the memory allocation, and now the server disconnects before it ever finishes the build.
My app is a mern app, does anyone know if this is an issue with my code or is the issue that I don't need to build my app on the ubuntu server? For example could I build the app it vscode first, as that seems to work?
you don't need to build the app in ubuntu server in order to deploy the same. You can build your app anywhere and copy the content of the build folder to the server for deploying.
I am writing a tool that allows a DBA to remotely run an SSIS package. The application is an XBAP and has been deployed to a SQL Server, with the SSIS package on the same server. I achieve the remote calling of the SSIS package by running DTExec remotely on the server (I open the servers DTExec utility, not a local version) running as another user using Process.Start.
Here is the issue that I'm getting. When running the application (from the server) from my desktop it works absolutely fine. DTExec is started and the SSIS package is executed. However, when I go to a different computer within our same network, I receive the error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000143). Click OK to close the application.
This has happened on multiple computers, but for some reason works from mine.
The only difference between the two computers, is that mine has a version of SQL Server developer on it (meaning I have a local DTExec tool - however I am not calling this tool, the path is to \\server\Microsoft SQL Server...\DTExec.exe).
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Adding Credentials to the Process.StartInfo requires have permissions on the local machine as well as the server where the application is running and where the application you are attempting to run is found.
At first, I use Struts 2 to develop a website in Java web technology. So I installed Apache Tomcat as the localhost server and MYSQL as the database (MYSQL here is the full application from mysql.com, not the packages like XAMPP or WAMP...)
But now I switch to learn a little bit about PHP so I install WAMP full package. When I start all services of WAMP and go to browser and type localhost, everything work fine
But when I go to localhost/phpmyadmin, it seems to connect to the old MYSQL application in my computer (what I've used in Java web). And then I restart computer and use MYSQL Workbench (in the MYSQL application), but now it connects to the database of WAMP package, and I can not connect to the old database (in Java web) anymore
The solution is remove WAMP but I need WAMP for PHP
So I just want to ask how can I use MYSQL application and WAMP package together (MYSQL application for Java web and WAMP package for PHP)?

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1 and open my (Configuration file) and then navigate to
[client]
port=3306
Change this to
[client]
port:3307
This will make phpmyadmin to run on 3306 and Java-Mysql to run on 3307
You can of course keep both XAMPP and WAMP running together keeping in mind that you have changed the default ports for either of it to some other ports rather than 80,443 and 3306, but sometimes it could create conflict as when you install some other third party softwares or enable certain services that run on port 80,443,3306.
The best alternative here would be to install one of the servers inside a virtual machine with network configured as "host-only-adapter" so that from the base machine you could access XAMPP/WAMP installed on the virtual machine by just pointing the ip-address of the virtual machine through a web-browser.
or,
If you want to run both XAMPP and WAMP together on the same machine but access only one of the servers at a time then you could go ahead installing both of them one after another. But, keep in mind that before installing the other server you have to completely stop all the services running from the XAMPP or WAMP control panel then quit the application. After this step you can go ahead installing the other server without changing any configurations or port numbers. This is because in this case we assumed that only one of the servers would be accessed at a time. Hence, before launching the other server one has to completely quit the application that is running currently by stopping all of it's services. If skype is installed then one has to change the default incoming connection ports to other than port 80 and 443.
Like mentioned above, if at all the intention is to access both servers up and running concurrently then taking advantage of a virtual machine would be the best to avoid conflicts and a long-term troubleshoots eventually.
If you messed up changing ports and config files then you could end up with the following error while trying to access phpmyadmin from XAMPP control panel:
**mysql said: Cannot connect: invalid settings. xampp**
note: while launching the servers , run it as administrator else some services will not start properly.

THE PROCESS LOOKS SHORT THOUGH WHEN IN REALITY IT TOOK ME COUNTLESS HOURS AND PAIN RESEARCHING ON THE WEB AND TESTING FOR A POSSIBLE SOLUTION UNTILL I CAME UP WITH THIS."

XAMPP is unable to start Apache or MySQL on a windows 7 system when run from a flashdrive.
The control panel indicates that the server is starting, but it never actually comes online. Additionally, the control panel process refuses to end; Task Manager end tasking is required to make it stop.
Is there a specialized setting either in XAMPP or Windows that needs to be made to achieve operation? Is there a version incompatibility? Anyone know a way to get this running?
Try XAMPP Lite -- it has all of the main features of XAMPP, and runs flawlessly from a flash drive.
Be sure to select "no drive letters" during the setup process to maintain portability.
I'm just setting up the live environment for my new project. Unlike my dev and testing systems, the live environment consists of a web server (Win 2003) and a separate DB server (MYSQL).
My installation process for each release of the software is nicely scripted, giving me full rollback options etc.
However, I can't work out how to install my stored procedures within that process. I can't run a MYSQL command line because MYSQL isn't installed on the web server, it only accesses the DB via ODBC.
Is there a means by which I can run MYSQL commands on the web server, via ODBC from a command line? I really want to keep it all together so I can run "Install v123" and everything whizzes off and gets installed in one go.
There may be a more elegant solution but: I had a very similar problem a number of years ago, and I eventually just wrote a little stand alone program to run my scripts at the end of the install.
Another common option is to have them run as part of a configuration utility/page the user goes to after setup, but I'm assuming you want to keep this as a 1 step installation.
