In the past there was the possibility to make use of the SharePoint list adapter for SSIS via Codeplex (now it is hosted by github) to export SharePoint Lists to an MSSQL database. As far as I remember this is not available for newer versions and the adapter is deprecated. How is the export managed now? Also how it is done in case of O365 (SharePoint Online) and an Azure SQL Database? Or is the approach the same?
You simply create a SSIS connection of Type OData (Connection Manager for OData) and configure the preferences of the connection. Connection string has to refer to Service Document Location url.

I have an Access 2010 Database (.accdb) and I am attempting to connect it to Qlik Sense Enterprise.
With QS Enterprise, I was able to connect an Access Database (.mdb) using OLE DB connectivity, but I have not had any luck connecting a .accdb database using this method.
I was able to connect a .accdb database file using QS Desktop with an ODBC Connection, but OLE DB has been a nuisance. I updated my Access 2010 Redistributable Driver (though it did not need it) and that did not fix the problem.
I tried saving my .accdb file as a .mdb, but I was given an error saying:
"You cannot save this database in an earlier version format, because it uses features that require the current file format.
These features include attachments, multi-valued fields, offline data, data macros, calculated Columns, links to unsupported external files, newer sort orders, newer encryption types, and navigation controls."
I am not entirely sure why I can connect the .accdb file through QS Desktop, but not through QS Enterprise.
If you're using OLEDB check you have the Jet 4.0 data driver installed on the server.
I am trying to integrate Odoo(openerp-8) with MySQL on ubuntu server, to get the database access instead of postgresql.
But I am unable to figure out the correct way to do that.
I tried this link, but it didn't help me
http://openerp-team.blogspot.de/2009/08/open-erp-server-with-mysql.html
Any better ideas on configuring odoo with MySQL?
In Odoo apps Store One Free module Available name is "External Database Sources"
This module allows you to define connections to foreign databases using ODBC, Oracle Client or SQLAlchemy.
Database sources can be configured in Settings > Configuration -> Data sources.
Depending on the database, you need:
to install unixodbc and python-pyodbc packages to use ODBC connections.
to install FreeTDS driver (tdsodbc package) and configure it through ODBC to connect to Microsoft SQL Server.
to install and configure Oracle Instant Client and cx_Oracle python library to connect to Oracle.

I've installed SQL Server 2012, after I've installed all features including report services. I go to Report Manager link and wanted to add New Data Source, but in Data Source Types there is only Microsoft SQL Server and I want to add Oracle Data Source.
Other way I easily connected to Oracle Data Source in Business Inteligence Studio, but I can't deploy Report file (.rdl) to my report manager because it gives me an error message:
An attempt has been made to use a data extension 'ORACLE' that is either not registered for this report server or is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
You should install the .NET Framework Data Provider for Oracle on the server hosting the SSRS instance to be able to target an Oracle database.
Here is a link to download the latest version on Oracle.
Remarks
Before you can connect an Oracle data source, the system administrator must have installed the version of the .NET Data
Provider for Oracle that supports retrieving data from the Oracle
database. This data provider must be installed on the same computer as
Report Builder and also on the report server.

If you are using the Express edition of SQL Server, then Oracle Data Sources are not supported:
Analysis Services, Oracle, XML, SAP, SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS), OLE DB, and ODBC data sources are not supported.

It applies to SSRS 2012 Express as well, as stated in this post.
I am creating my first SSIS package using Business Intelligence in Visual Studio 2012. I am adding the contents of an Excel sheet to an local VS database. In the Destination Assistant I am asked Destination Type = SQL Server, New: Provider - I see no .NET Framework option. The result seems to be that I am then unable to select my server and therefore databases.
Am I just missing the point?
I would recommend that you investigate the destination server and verify that you have the providers installed on that system. Typically these are installed at the time that SQL server is installed, but is possible via custom installation to specify the providers that are installed. It may be necessary for you to install any providers needed. A second option would be to point to a database that you know that you can connect to, say a localhost sandbox or other tried database. That would help you to determine if it's server side or client installation issues.
I have recently installed full sql server 2008 (trial version), for doing a research on SSAS.
I created a SSAS project (with sqlserver business intelligence studio), deployed locally (where sql server instance is) with success.
The problem is that I dont see it in databases list with SSMS.
Is there a special way to connect to SSAS instance? Because looking at link text I see SSMS opened with other structure in object explorer.
When you create a connection (File -> Connect Object Explorer) ... just make sure that Analysis Services is selected in the "Server Type" drop down, instead of Database Engine.
