Label caption jumping around when I toggle "Enabled" - ms-access

This is hopefully a simple issue, but I'm struggling to find a solution. I am designing a Microsoft Access form where the user can click a VBA-powered option button to toggle the Enabled property on and off for certain fields in the form. The toggling behaves as expected, here is an example with a toggle button called "ExtraRows" that toggles an extra address field called "C/o" ("C_o" in the code):

The problem is that the placement of the label caption jumps a few pixels up/down and left/right when the option button is clicked, while the content of the related text box stays in place. The difference is illustrated below.
Field is disabled: the label caption ("C/o") sits two pixels below "Content".
Field is enabled: the label caption sits one pixel above "Content":
I would like the caption to stay in the same place all the time. I have tried resizing the label box and playing around with properties for margins and padding as wells as various special effect properties. What am I missing?

I'll answer my own question. I was too fast when I said I had played around with margins and padding. The issue disappears when the respective margin (top and right in the example) are set to zero. So it turns out that the margin settings for labels (but not text boxes) behave differently depending on whether the enabled property is set to true of false. A bug?
(Note: I had not set any margins myself; this was the default behavior.)

MS-ACCESS Conditional Formatting while scrolling

I have a continuous subform (Data) within a single form (Main) where I use conditional formatting. The problem is, when I click the scroll bar to go down the list, the conditional formatting is removed until I un-click the scroll bar. Scrolling through the list with the mouse wheel works perfectly.
I suspect this is due to a refreshing or repainting of the formatting that is inherently triggered by a click?
I tried using Application.Echo False, and Me.Repaint = False, with no luck (although I am not even sure where I would need to put these).
Does anyone have any experience with this? Note, the data displayed via subform Data is static, meaning the user cannot update the fields within this particular subform (not sure if that simplifies anything).
On a continuous form, conditional formatting is only performed on records that are within view. As new records are scrolled into view, there is a brief delay while the conditional formatting is calculated. As records are scrolled out of view, their conditional formatting is discarded. You should find that scrolling with the mouse wheel does have a bit of a delay in the conditional formatting.
In some situations, one solution is to build the conditional formatting into the recordsource. For example, suppose negative values for Balance should be shown with a yellow background, and you would like to be able to scroll quickly through all the records looking for yellow ones.
I do this by adding another field to the recordsource:
IIf([Balance] < 0, String(30,ChrW(9608)), "") AS BalanceBG
and then binding this to a TextBox with text color of yellow and font of Courier.
The 9608 character is a solid block, and a string of them fit tightly together to make a solid bar.
With this TextBox positioned behind the TextBox for [Balance], the yellow background will show even as the scrollbar thumb is dragged up and down.

Auto resize the width of input text area on hidden DIV

I use a Hide/Show .js script that hides some checkboxes and on the right side there is the search field when I click to hide it I want to expand.
Ex.
Before hidding:
Before hidding Image
After hidding I want the search field to be expanded 100%
After hidding Image
I searched for 2 days something and can't find a way to make it expand I use the bTemplate engine to store the HTML code.
Did you try changing the CSS properties through the "setAttribute" method of the elements in question through Javascript? Basically, the code you used to "hide some of the checkboxes" in the first place is pretty much like how you'd write the code to do the other things you're looking to do.
In other words, When you want the checkboxes out of view and the text entry box centered, as in your second reference pic, you could have the Javascript code written through the "setAttribute" method so that when a particular event happens, the css "display" parameter for the check boxes could be set to "hidden", the size of the text entry box can be increased, and the css "position" parameter for the text entry box can be set to have it centered, etc.
That is, of course if I understand your issue correctly. Can you provide the code you are using? I'm sure me or someone else could clarify things more if we could see what you have written.

Can I control positioning of IE 10 select boxes?

In Internet Explorer 10 the behavior of drop-down boxes (<select> element) has changed: when expanding the box, instead of placing the list of options below the field, the list overlays the field, with the list positioned so that the currently-selected element is centered over the input field.
This is a little hard to describe, so here's a jsFiddle that shows it.
Our users are finding this behavior very confusing. Is there anything I can do in CSS to make the box behave like it did in IE9, and like every other major browser? (Perhaps something like the -ms-clear pseudo-element that hides the clear button in IE10 text input fields.)

One option is dynamically change size property of the select to the number of options (or a fixed number - if you have too many options). You would do it on mouse-down, and change it back on-change.

SSRS Hiding the textbox in a table cell causes the borders to disappear

I have a report with a table in it. And each table cell has borders around it.
The problem I'm experiencing is that if I hide the textbox in any of the cells, the borders also disappear.
I want the textbox to hide but still show the borders.
The textbox in question shows the visibility toggle icons (+/-) so I can't use an iif statement to change the textbox's value to be an empty string when I don't want to see anything in it.
You can place the textbox inside a rectangle.

The Problem:
I assume that you placed a border around your text box and decided to place the hide and toggle element to your text box. or your Rows are not stepped down. Two solutions, I think the first solution is what you are looking for:
Solution 1:
I Noticed that SRSS reporting also has this grouping feature by rows. So to hide the text in the textbox without losing borders is to create a step-down feature within the grouping. So basically you can assign hide text box property without disturbing the rows above the textbox. This may be a better solution.
Solution 2:
You must instead place the border attribute to your text box and place the hide and toggle function on the individual groups. So for you, you have to remove the hide + toggle feature on the textbox. Right click the group element in your "rows" or "columns" and assign your drilldown hide + toggle feature on the group elements. In other words: "group properties" not "text box properties"

I ran into the same issue. I solved it by changing the text color to white (or whatever the background color of the textbox is). I was doing this inside a table, and couldn't find a way to insert a textbox inside of a rectangle as stated in the other answer...
I had similar problem and used similar approach like #Anony Mous, but instead of changing text color to background color I used expression to change text value =IIF(InScope("RowGroup") = "True", Fields!Textboxvalue.Value, "") - and it works as expected.
Problem with background color change is that, if user unintendely select the text and makes it active, it become visible.
Just select the Textbox in question, run F4 (to access to the properties chart at the right side of VS or SQL), select the HideDuplicates dropdown and Select the Data Set that you are using :)

SSRS 2008 TextBox Borders Apply to single textbox

I am having a problem placing a border around a single TextBox. For some reason when I put a border around it, SSRS Applies the border to plenty of other TextBoxes in the same area.
I have a TextBox that is part of a Group That is part of Tablix. I am doing the following
Right clicking the TextBox
Clicking TextBox Properties
Clicking Border
Clicking the outline preset / manually clicking each border in the preview.
Clicking OK.
After I do this, the border style is applied to any TextBox this TextBox I right clicked on touches.
I thought it might have something to do with the TextBox being in the group, so as an experiment, I got rid of the borders and set just the back color. That worked as expected. - Just the single TextBox had the back color.
This doesn't make any sense. Why aren't borders being applied to the single TextBox?
Today, during my search I saw your question as I was having the same problem.
I solved this problem for myself and now I am submitting an answer here so that others can use it.
Follow these steps:
Click on TextBox to which you have to give boarder.
Then, go to the Property Sheet which is on the right side of your IDE window. It will show all properties of the selected textbox.
Change Border property value in the Property Sheet
Now, you will see that the Border value(s) you specified in the Property Sheet has been applied only to the selected textbox, not to other text boxes.
Hope it will work for others just like it worked for me.
