Power BI - Data refresh doesn't work for CSV File - csv

I am currently loading a local csv file. If I add a column/row in the file, I want to refresh the data in my power bi. If I press refresh in the Query Editor, nothing happens.
Do you have any ideas why that isn't working?
EDIT
It works perfectly for MS Excel but doesn't work for CSV. Why?

When you open the advanced editor, you will see that the original number of columns is defined. Delete that number and it should work!

Try Options -> Data Load -> Clear Cache and afterwards refresh.

Tableau isn't converting my csv data source to tables

When I import a csv to Tableau, it gets the same format of the original csv file (a single column with every label on it). How can I make Tableau separate the columns based on commas?
I can't see why this is happening, since in every tutorial I checked Tableau already converts the .csv to a tabular format.
Here's what I get
Note: I'm using Tableau's trial version.
Sometimes when you open a csv in Excel it can mess with the formatting like your image shows. If you think you opened it in Excel before connecting, try downloading your source again and connecting first with Tableau. If that doesn't work, I happen to have this dataset in a .tde if you would like to use that. vgsales.tde
Edit: Thinking regional settings might be a factor.
Click the dropdown on the right of the data source. Select Text File Properties
To get this window:
Can you match these settings?

Magento 2.1.1 We can't find required columns: sku

My apologies if a solution has been provided elsewhere. I have searched and could not find anything similar to what I am experiencing. I am trying to upload categories on a Magento CE 2.1.1 website. I have a file with almost 4000 categories and sub categories and the only practical way is to upload via a csv file.
I downloaded a sample file to use and when I upload the same sample file it's working fine when I click Check data" button. However, when I replace the values on the rows with my own and save the file as csv with UTF-8 text encoding, I am getting an error message below. This is also happening when I save the file as csv even without changing the values. I have tested this with a csv file saved from both Mac Numbers and Windows Excel.
I only need to upload Categories (and not products) but I am not sure if this is possible.

The files are quite similar but strangely one is working and the other is not.

This might be because you opened the file in Excel which will add a BOM to the start of the file. When the Magento importer tries to read the file, it expects the first header/cell to say sku, but it instead sees the BOM.
Two ways to solve this:
1) Don't open it in excel - use Google sheets, or a text editor if you are feeling brave,
2) If you opened the file in excel, close it, open it in notepad++, click encoding up the top and set to "Encode in UTF-8" (NOT "Encode in UTF-8-BOM"). Then save and you are good to go.

updating excel file data using vba from mysql

Is it possible to have an excel sheet that gets updated from a mysql server using a specific query when ever it gets opened using VBA?
I am new to VBA and is it possible to monitor the data changes on the excel sheet while updating the sheet??
Thanks
If you use the Data > Get External Data toolbar to set up the MySQL data pull, you can then set the workbook to refresh upon opening - Here's a link that shows the very basics.
As for tracking / moitoring changes, you'd have to be more detailed about how you'd like that to happen... As a general rule, it's not very easy to do.
Hope this helps!!

Trouble opening .csv files on my Mac

I am trying to open a .csv file in my Mac, using Excel 2008. Currently, every time I try opening the file, my Mac defaults to OpenOffice.org 3. I never had this problem. I always used to be able to open csv files with Excel.
Where do I go to change the default spreadsheet program for opening csv files back to Excel?
Thank you.
CTRL+Click or Right Click on the CSV file, click on "get info" option. In the popup at the bottom under "opens with", select the application you want to associate with this file e.g. excel.
This works for changing the file associations for most files.

Updating an imported .csv in Hyperion v8.3

I have a csv imported into my Hyperion v8.3 bqy file. I have some custom columns and a pivot already created. I just want to refresh the data. In the past, I would hit Process Current and it would direct me to my computer and I could select the csv file to update from. Now it will not do that. It doesn't go to my computer at all.
Any ideas?
Eric,
I'm not a power user but I accomplish the same thing by ensuring that there is a file with the same name in the same location from which the original csv was imported and "Processing All". This allows me to update the data and import it into my bqy and automatically update any reporting based on the csv.
Don't know if this will help or not.

When you import a file as a Section into Hyperion, it maintains a link to the existing file for the exact path and file name. When that link is broken and that section gets a Process or Refresh command, is the only time it will prompt you for a new file. Otherwise, it will refresh the data from the existing.
So, if you want to force it to prompt you for a new file, you have to move or rename the old file.
But, you're looking for the Pivot and Computed columns to refresh. Two things on that ...
Computed Columns: You don't have to re-import the file, if the rest of your data is current. Each column can be refreshed individually by right-click, Modify, then clicking Ok. You don't have to change any of the code; just hit okay instead of Cancel.
Pivot: In the menu, you have to set your pivot options appropriately to update when you Process (when the underlying data is Processed, really), or Manually (when you Process that section).
