Material UI Drawer won't move under Appbar - html

I have an Appbar and a drawer right beneath it. Under both components I have 3 divs with bootstrap and in each div I have a group of buttons.
The problem is that the Drawer covers the Appbar and I just can't seem to move it.
Here's my code:

The Material-UI docs call that a Drawer that's been clipped under the app bar. To achieve it, you first have to define a z-index for your AppBar your styles object:

And then apply that to the AppBar component:

Since your drawer is now underneath the AppBar, you'll need to move the content in the drawer down the screen so that it is not hidden underneath the bar. You can accomplish that with theme.mixins.toolbar. First, add the toolbar styles:

Then, add the following div as the very first piece of content in your drawer:

The toolbar style will load information about the app bar height from the current theme and then size the div so that it ensures the content doesn't get hidden by the app bar.

In MUI v5, the default zIndex values are:

Which explains why the drawer covers the appBar.

what is css-luqe0j ?

If you don't want to modify the SearchBox component at all, you have a few options, the most reasonable of which (IMO) is to just wrap the SearchBox component in a styled component that then targets elements contained within the SearchBox (it's child), for example:

And to answer your secondary question ("what is css-luqe0j ?"), that is the generated css class name for the component -- you don't want to target an element using those because they will frequently change.

Unresponsive page layout with ReactMapGL in ReactJs

I have a ReactMapGL component in my page that is stored above the footer and below the navbar. In my initial screen from my desktop the layout looks fine, but when I inspect element to make the screen size smaller, the layout becomes unresponsive.

Class is not applied to Material UI button component

I am trying to apply a class (redirectButton) to material UI button , but it is not getting applied.

css inline styles not applying to react table cells when using className

I'm trying to apply inline css to the react table cell, shown in the code by *** surrounding the div element. It works as it is declared right now, using Style=.... , but I would like to use className='textvertalign'instead, and when I try using className it doesn't seem to work. I can't seem to put my finger on why it doesn't work with className. It would be nice to be able to reference this css as I plan on applying it to more cells. Thanks in advance.

To be able to use the css that are in styles, I have to add:

className={classes.textvertalign} //to reference that css.
I think this has to do with the withStyles exporting the css, and we need to import it back in to use it.

How to avoid Bootstrap 4 NavBar from expanding when implementing an autocomplete field in React?

I use React 16.5.2 and Bootstrap 4.1.3 on my project and I want to have a typeahead on a NavBar. I have implemented the autocomplete field on the NavBar but it did not turn out the way I want it.
It seems that when the list of suggestion came out it will expand the NavBar too.
Another problem is the list of suggestion is on the right side of the input text instead of on the left side. For your information, I'm a React newbie and I'm using react-places-autocomplete to get the list of suggestion.
Most of the typeahead that I found is used outside of Navbar.
