I made a new GTK# project added a toolbar and tried to add button to it. I tried to add a custom icon. I clicked on New Button, the on the newly created button -> select icon -> more -> project icons, and added my icon to the project. The icon appears normal in the editor, as shown on the screen shot below:
But when I try to run it, the following error occurs:
Error MSB5016: The name "DeployService.UseProjectRelativePath" contains an invalid character ".". (MSB5016)
Googling didn't help :( Anyone else had the similar problem? Thanks!
Edit1: Cleaning or rebuilding project also doesn't work, even after the icon is removed, but the application compiled successfully before the icon was added.
You need to go to the resource in you project (the icon), right-click it, select "build action" and set it to "embbeded resource".
Then you need to access it. If you are using the designer, then don't need anything else, but if you want to access it programmatically in Windows Forms (and your project is called "my-project" and your icon is under folder "Res")

In Visual Studio Code, there was previously a trash image (icon) in the panel section. When I clicked on it the terminal was clearing. But it no longer exists. I changed accidently panel settings. You have two options available to you.
You can, keep the new UI the way it is, and below is a picture that shows where the new terminal tab trash-bin icon is.
Or you can switch back to the old UI using the setting bellow:

Image shows "terminal.integrated.tabs.enabled": false, and where the trash icon is. It is important to note that the icon auto hides, and one must scroll over it before it reveals itself.

Is it possible to link project window/bar with editor? In eclipse there is button in project window called "link with editor". I would like to have exactly the same thing in PhpStorm.
Explanation:
Current active file opened in editor is automatically highlighted in project tree. If I change active file in editor to another, without even touching project window, it should change highlighted file as well. It should also keep current active file highlighted all the time if possible.
I didn't found such option in PhpStorm. If there is no such thing in PhpStorm, maybe there is plugin for that?

As of some 2017.x version (or maybe even 2016.x) the IDE has own dedicated Select in Project View action (so no need for additional plugin). You can find it in Keymap under the Other branch (hint: use search box to narrow the list).

Can be used if you do not mind (or even want) to have Project View panel keep focused on currently edited file (so it scrolls/moves up and down/expands when needed).
NOTE: with frequently switching between the files (e.g. CSS & HTML) when you have a lot of files in your project such "scrolling" may become quite annoying pretty fast (especially if such files are located in the invisible-right-now part of the project tree).
Activate Autoscroll from Source option in Project View panel (right click on tool window header bar/title or use menu under "gear" icon):
In modern versions (2020.3 and newer) that option was renamed and is now called Always Select Opened File:
Just click the circular icon (with tooltip Scroll from Source) to navigate in the project directory tree and highlight the corresponding active file in the PhpStorm editor.

The above answers are all valid but unfortunately you'll have to enable them for each project.
There's a plugin from Jetbrains that will enable this behaviour by default for all new projects.

I'm new to flash. I am using Adobe Flash Professional CS6. I have created a menu bar with a drop down menu and rollovers to change the colors.
I have put the the code (below) on the background and then given the button the instance name of 'navbarbtnhome'.

After i publish and open the HTML file the hyperlink will only work for the first click, after that I have to amend the code in some way and then publish and open it again, then the hyperlink will work another time until I repeat the process. Can anyone help, I'm totally lost for ideas now after trying for hours. my full menu bar is here if anyone wants to help.

It seems as though getURL doesn't work when testing your file locally, due to security sandbox restrictions. Assume that the links work, and upload it to your server and then test it -- hopefully it will work that way :)

When I run my project in Netbeans 6.8, it loves to open the index page automatically. It's annoying because I always keep a tab with the page I'm working on when I work, so I don't need this index page. It also makes my current page lose focus.
I have tried not specifying an index or my project URL, but then I can't run or save my project.
How can I prevent it from doing so?
In NetBeans 7.4:
Right-click your project, select 'Properties'
In left hand pane of popup, select 'Run Configuration'
In the right pane of the popup, in the bottom right corner of the list of fields, click 'Advanced...'
Select radio button 'Do Not Open Web Browser'
I ran into that issue as well. The solution is quite simple - go to the menu bar:
Run/Run File.
That's it. It will just run the current php script without going to the index.php.
Basically, you want to reopen the same page (refresh it ?) in the browser ? You can set settings in the project properties > run configuration, then chaange the index file or project url. But apart from that I am afraid that you can't do anything to prevent opening a new window on run. When you click 'run', netbeans says to your OS : "Hey, let's open that page (your_project_URL/index_file) now". The OS thinks and execute a command like "default_browser url", where the argument "url" is here your_project_URL/index_file. Then the browser thinks it's a new page to open, and BAM, opens a new page.
Just use shift+F6 which will open the current page with focus.
