html - Header size wider than the screen - html

I am making an html web page and I have this problem: The header of my page is wider than my screen size, causing a horizontal scroll bar to appear. I already check some solutions, but they didn't work. Can anyone know why this is happening?
here is my header code:
<header>
<!--NAV BAR-->
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-dark fixed-top elegant-color-dark">
<div class="container-fluid">
<!-- NAV BRAND-->
<a class="navbar-brand" href="index.html">
<img src="http://eprticher.mx/images/tich.gif" height="30" class="d-inline-block align-top mr-2" alt="">
TICHER | Seguridad Privada
</a>
<div class="navbar-nav navbar-right">
<ul class="navbar-nav">
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="index.html">Inicio</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item dropdown">
<a class="nav-link dropdown-toggle" id="dropMenu" data-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">Servicios</a>
<div class="dropdown-menu dropdown-primary" aria-labelledby="dropMenu">
<a class="dropdown-item" href="servicios_seguridad.html">Servicios Seguridad</a>
<a class="dropdown-item" href="tranp_ejecutiva.html">Transporte Ejecutivo</a>
</div>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="quienes_somos.html">¿Quienes Somos?</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="porque_elegirnos.html">¿Porqué Elegirnos?</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link" href="contactanos.html">Contáctanos</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
Here is my CSS code:
body {
background-color: #ffffff;
padding-top: 60px;
}
header {
-webkit-box-sizing: border-box; /* Safari/Chrome, other WebKit */
-moz-box-sizing: border-box; /* Firefox, other Gecko */
box-sizing: border-box;
}
.sizeAdj img {
width: auto;
height: 500px;
max-height: 500px;
}
.img-resp {
width: 100%;
}
.img-resp-sm {
width: 50%;
}
.carousel-caption {
position: absolute;
bottom: 40%;
left: 15%;
z-index: 25;
/*background: rgb(68, 68, 68);*/
color: white;
}
.separator {
height: 1px;
border: none;
color: #bdbdbd;
background-color: #bdbdbd;
}
The Header CSS is a solution that I found but it looks like it doesn't works...
Snapshot of the problem...
Here is how I add the Header to another HTML File where I use it:

Razor Pages ASP.NET Core 6 - How to add background image with blur

I have successfully added a "background-image" to my Razor Pages application.
Now, when using "filter: blur(2px);" the header and footer blur, but not the image.
I've been at this for hours, saw tons of threads on how to add the image, but couldn't find a way to do this properly (the blur), or see someone else experiencing the same behavior.
My _Layout:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />

</head>
<body>
<header>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-sm navbar-toggleable-sm bg-transparent border-bottom box-shadow mb-3">
<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse d-sm-inline-flex justify-content-between">
<div class="dropdown">
<button class="btn btn-secondary dropdown-toggle" type="button" id="dropdownMenu2" data-bs-toggle="dropdown" aria-expanded="false">

<ul class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="dropdownMenu2">
<li>
<a class="dropdown-item" type="button" asp-page="/LActions/ImageManagement">

</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<ul class="navbar-nav flex-grow-1">
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link text-light" asp-area="" asp-page="/Index">Home</a>
</li>
<li class="nav-item">
<a class="nav-link text-light" asp-area="" asp-page="/Privacy">Privacy</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
</header>
<div class="container">
<main role="main" class="pb-3">

</div>
<footer class="border-top footer text-muted">

<script src="~/js/site.js" asp-append-version="true"></script>
#await RenderSectionAsync("Scripts", required: false)
</body>
</html>
My CSS - using site.css to apply changes globally - is:
html {
font-size: 14px;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
#media (min-width: 768px) {
html {
font-size: 16px;
}
}
html {
position: relative;
min-height: 100%;
}
body {
margin-bottom: 60px;
background: url(../img/background.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;
background-size: cover;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
color: white;
}
So far so good.
Now when adding to my css:
body {
margin-bottom: 60px;
background: url(../img/background.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;
background-size: cover;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
color: white;
filter: blur(2px);
}
The footer and header blurs, but not the background-image as anticipated.
Replace filter: blur(2px); with backdrop-filter: blur(2px);.
filter will affect the element itself, and backdrop-filter will affect the elements beneath the element within the bounding box of the element.So in your project, you need to use backdrop-filter. You can follow this link to learn more about backdrop-filter.

How to set the body background image at 50%?

How can I make the body image only visible in half?
I also tried with background-size, I don't succeed or I don't realize being a beginner.
Looking for a few good hours to answer the question, I do not realize how I can make the image to be seen only half of the screen.
body {
background: url(bg.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;
margin-top: -10px;
min-height: 100vh;
overflow-x: hidden;
}
.vertical-nav {
min-width: 17rem;
width: 17rem;
height: 100vh;
position: fixed;
top: 0;
left: 0;
box-shadow: 3px 3px 10px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
transition: all 0.4s;
}
.page-content {
width: calc(100% - 17rem);
margin-left: 17rem;
transition: all 0.4s;
}

There is no CSS property background-opacity, but you can fake it by inserting a pseudo element with regular opacity the exact size of the element behind it.
Here is the sample code where I was able to achieve it.
.main{
overflow: hidden;
}
.div1{
width:30%;
height:400px;
display:inline-block;
float:left;
}
.div2{
width:70%;
height:400px;
display:inline-block;
float:left;
position: relative;
text-align: center;
color: white;
}
.cusImg{
width:100%;
height:100%
}
.topLeft{
position: absolute;
top: 8px;
left: 16px;
}

use jquery's scroll function https://api.jquery.com/scroll/. this will trigger once you scroll your div with the code section.
for this example to work i have added an id to code section and also have done some alteration to make codesection div scrollable. (see console for message on scroll).
so on scroll you can also check page offset and can set value to preview screen as needed..

how to make background image transparent and the text written on it should be highlighted

Since I am not able to make the background transparent, means I want the image opacity should be minimum and the text written on it should be highlighted. Please help me out from this. As I used css opacity but the whole div is getting transparent with the text also written on it.
Here is my html and css:
.bgimg{
background: url('bg2.jpg');
background-size: cover;
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
width: 100%;
height: 600px;
}
.headerset{
padding-top: 250px;
box-sizing: border-box;
}
.headerset h2{
font-size: 40px;
}
.headerset h1{
font-size: 82px;
font-weight: bold;
}

I think this is what you need. We can achieve background transparent by using pseudo class. Please check the below code.
.bgimg{
width: 100%;
height: 600px;
}
.bgimg::after {
content: "";
background: url('https://images.pexels.com/photos/137219/pexels-photo-137219.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&h=350');
background-size: cover;
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
opacity: 0.3;
top: 0;
left: 0;
bottom: 0;
right: 0;
position: absolute;
z-index: -1;
}
.headerset{
padding-top: 250px;
box-sizing: border-box;
}
.headerset h2{
font-size: 40px;
}
.headerset h1{
font-size: 82px;
font-weight: bold;
}

Bootstrap 4 make search field responsive in mobile

I tried to center my search field using code below.
But the search field is not very responsive because when in mobile it stays right on top with footer unlike on desktop. I want it to have a gap between footer.
This issue only displays on small screen mode.
Any input would be appreciated. I hope you all have a great weekend!

I didn't understand what you really want but I have tried it little bit.I think padding-bottom: 100px; will solve your problem.
