How do I open a tab of google maps in unity without buying an Asset? - google-maps

I'm having trouble figuring out how do I open a tab of google maps or google maps app on my app within the unity, and can't afford to buy the Asset for facilitating, what do I do? is there any other site or application that I can use and be easier?

You would have to use AndroidJavaClass and AndroidJavaObject API to construct common map intents: https://developer.android.com/guide/components/intents-common.html#Maps
There are plenty examples out there how to use AndroidJavaClass and AndroidJavaObject e.g. how to create a share intent. These are very similar for maps.

Does Google Map API V3 provide solution to tracking moving assets without using mobile app?

there,
Does Google Map API V3 include solution that allows to track moving assets without us having to develop additional mobile apps (apps to be installed on each asset to be tracked)?
My company is a Google Maps APIs Premium plan business user and we have several .Net C# web pages already using Google Map API. And we are looking for the possibility to add a moving-assets-tracking feature on our website now, but we prefer not to get into mobile app developments for this.
If that possible? I googled, but not seeing much info on this. Could you please provide some detailed examples?
Thanks!
Asset tracking is possible with Google Maps Platform, but I don't think this is possible without installing an application to the asset being tracked as there
could be no means to track it.
By V3, if you are referring to JavaScript API then it is not possible.
You may read about asset tracking in this documentation:
https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/asset-tracking/
Contacting sales team for Google Maps might be able to provide you something. But this is still unsure. The contact sales form can be found in the link above.

Geofencing and offline maps in Android

It's amazing how easy it is possible to use geofencing with Google Maps API. However for that you have to be "connected" and use online maps. However I can not find how to use geofencing functionality for offline maps and what, if any, offline map provider supports it on Android. Would be thankful for any help here.
Well, I ended up with some hybrid solution. I used MapBox and Open Street Maps for offline map functionality together with Google Play services that allowed me to add geofencing functionality. Somehow I was thinking that geofencing requires to use Google Maps and that was obviously not correct.

Google Maps JS API - Google My Maps tools

I am working on a project where an user could draw on a google map a polyline, polygon, walking, driving an cycling route.
All of those tools are available in Google My Maps app (link)
Here is a picture:
On google Maps API documentation I found library called Drawing tools (link to sample), but this is not what I am looking for. You can add to parameter drawingModes polyline and polygon, but there is no options for drawing a route.
Another picture:
So my questions are:
Is there a code or library or anything for tools from Google My Maps app (if there is, it could save me a lot of time - I need exactly what there is) (yes/no) (if yes, where? Ignore other two questions)
If not, are tools from My Maps (at least polyline and polygon) builded from library Drawing tools? (yes/no)
If yes, how can I add functionality to add routes? (please provide a simple sample or hint how to add one of the routes driving/cycling/walking)
I will try to address your question
Google MyMaps and Google Maps JavaScript API are different products managed by different teams at Google. I'm not aware about any third party library or tool that allows to use MyMaps functionality via Google Maps JavaScript API.
MyMaps tools are not related to drawing library of Google Maps JavaScript API as I mentioned before.
I can see the following feature request in the public issue tracker regarding the ability to access Google MyMaps via Google Maps JavaScript API. However, it doesn't look like the API team has set a high priority on this task.

Turn by Turn GPS Navigation on Android Using Android Studio

I want to use the Tun by Turn voice navigation feature that on google maps app in my android app, I've searched a lot but couldn't find answer, I've used google maps direction API for creating the path from the current location to the user's destination, it's part of the idea of the application to help the user navigate,
What API should I use ? or is it even possible to do it?
Google Maps API v3 does not provide the voice feature at all. And Google Maps API v3 and Google Maps applications are completely different ones. So if you want to implement the voice navigation, you need to prepare it.
Best to read the terms of service. 10.4 (c) ⅲ might be relevant:
ⅲ. No navigation. You will not use the Service or Content for or in connection with (a) real-time navigation or route guidance; or (b) automatic or autonomous vehicle control.
Fortunately, org.apache.cordova.plugin.tts plugin provides that function for Android.
document.addEventListener("deviceready", function() {
tts.speak("Hello");
});

Hope it helps.

Using Google Maps Engine in a custom iOS App

I am trying to leverage Google Maps Engine as a data store for an iOS app that uses the Google Maps SDK. Has anyone ever done that before? I'm having trouble finding examples or reference material on the internet. I can get data layers to show up in a web page using HTML and JavaScript, and I can see data layers in the native Google Earth App, but I want to show this data in my own custom map app.
Here is a link to Google Maps Engine for reference: http://www.google.com/enterprise/mapsearth/products/mapsengine.html
I believe you will need to get in touch with Google to receive a Maps API. I don't think they just let anyone on the street have it.
