To learn what you are doing wrong you need to read a book in C. Basic one.
I can point some errors and good practices.
comparison is done by ==. so you should use if(i==0)
After the second for loop you would want to change the value of i to 0. i=0.
the two for loops should be run upto the point when i<n and j<n.
That if(a[i]==0) comparison is not needed.
You don't need the while loop here.
You can print all of them after the for-for looping.
Global variables are used but you should have a good reason to use that.
Index variables are better if declared and defined locally.
what you are trying to do is known as Bubble sort.
Even after understanding all this and following this you get error try to run it through debugger, try small value of n.
Then if you can't, then ask here.

try to use ta.ema before the beginning of the if loop and store its value in a variable, then use that variable everywhere
you calculate several times the same calculus
and that's not good programming
as said above : "put the ta.ema in a variable" on a level-1 instruction
then use the variable everywhere
so it's less time consuming.

How to detect redundant piece of code containing array?

The lecture for my Java class has this piece of code:
for (int i=0; i<arr.length; i=i+10){
if(i%10 == 0){
System.out.println(arr[i]);
}
}
If you start at 0 and then go 10, 20, etc. Why do you need the if condition? Naturally all of these numbers divide by 10.
It's redundant. The only way it could have an effect is when the array length is close to the Integer max value and you're causing overflows by adding 10, but then your code would loop infinitely anyway (or crash when accessing negative array values).
To me the code in the if condition might have 2 reasones:
It is a way to monitor the progress of the function (although since the condition of the for loop is i=i+10 instead of i++, it is less meaningful in this case). This is very normal when we are using some script to execute a task that is dealing with a lots of data (normally in single process, and take some time). By printing out the progress periodically we are able to know (or estimate) how many data has been read/wrtie, or how many times have the codes in the loop has been executed, in this case.
There might be more code added in the for loop, which might modify i. In this case, i%10 == 0 will be meaningful.
In other words, without any more context it does seems like the if condition is redundant, in this case.
To answer the question of the title, here's what we usually do. First, have the code review done by someone else before you merge your branch. Having another fellow to review your codes are good practise as they could give you a fresh mind on correctness and code style. Second, if you find something that is suspecious but not sure (for example, the "redundant code" you think here), wrote unit tests to cover the part of code that you would like to change, make the changes and rerun the unit tests and see if you still get what is expected.
Personally I haven't heard of any tools that is able to detect "redundant code" as the example here, as "redundant" might not be "redundant" at all under different circumstances.

drand48() always returns same value

drand48() always returns the same value after I close the app and open it again
When I call drand48() and print out the result it's always the same after closing and opening the app.
Does anybody know how to prevent that from happening and get a random number each time without a predictable pattern?

This doesn't seem unexpected. Quoting from here (emphasis mine):
The srand48(), seed48() and lcong48() are initialisation entry points, one of which should be invoked before either drand48(), lrand48() or mrand48() is called. (Although it is not recommended practice, constant default initialiser values will be supplied automatically if drand48(), lrand48() or mrand48() is called without a prior call to an initialisation entry point.)
So if you don't seed the PRNG prior to using it, you'll get a constant seed, which means you'll get exactly the same sequence every time.
Note that you should usually seed exactly once, in your case probably at startup, and never in a loop where you also use the numbers.
drand48 creates a Pseudo-random number sequence. You need to set a different seed every run.
Something like this

What does Backpatching mean?

What does backpatching mean ? Please illustrate with a simple example.
Back patching usually refers to the process of resolving forward branches that have been planted in the code, e.g. at 'if' statements, when the value of the target becomes known, e.g. when the closing brace or matching 'else' is encountered.
In intermediate code generation stage of a compiler we often need to execute "jump" instructions to places in the code that don't exist yet. To deal with this type of cases a target label is inserted for that instruction.
A marker nonterminal in the production rule causes the semantic action to pick up.
Some statements like conditional statements, while, etc. will be represented as a bunch of "if" and "goto" syntax while generating the intermediate code.
The problem is that, These "goto" instructions, do not have a valid reference at the beginning(when the compiler starts reading the source code line by line - A.K.A 1st pass). But, after reading the whole source code for the first time, the labels and references these "goto"s are pointing to, are determined.
The problem is that can we make the compiler able to fill the X in the "goto X" statements in one single pass or not?
The answer is yes.
If we don't use backpatching, this can be achieved by a 2 pass analysis on the source code. But, backpatching lets us to create and hold a separate list which is exclusively designed for "goto" statements. Since it is done in only one pass, the first pass will not fill the X in the "goto X" statements because the comipler doesn't know where the X is at first glance. But, it does stores the X in that exclusive list and after going through the whole code and finding that X, the X is replaced by that address or reference.
Backpaching is the process of leaving blank entries for the goto instruction where the target address is unkonown in the forward transfer in the first pass and filling these unknown in the second pass.
Backpatching:
The syntax directed definition can be implemented in two or more passes (we have both synthesized attributes and inherited attributes).
Build the tree first.
Walk the tree in the depth-first order.
The main difficulty with code generation in one pass is that we may not know the target of a branch when we generate code for flow of control statements
Backpatching is the technique to get around this problem.

When the target is known, fill in the label of the branch instructions (backpatching).
backpatching is a process in which the operand field of an instruction containing a forward reference is left blank initially. the address of the forward reference symbol is put into this field when its definition is encountered in the program.
Back patching is the activity of filling up the unspecified information of labels
by using the appropriate semantic expression in during the code generation process.
It is done by:

What is the meaning of two S's in above MUMPS statement?
Let me start out by saying the original statement is NOT either Standard MUMPS or InterSystems Cache, or GT.M code. Even broadly guessing what was originally meant, the final S on the line isn't something you would do in MUMPS. A single S could be a SET command, but you still don't have any arguments telling what variable could be assigned, or what value should be assigned to it.
The rest of my reply is trying to figure out what it could have meant.

It is hard to figure out what you meant, since it would require hypothesizing where quotes might be and which ones could have been deleted by the transmission of the question.
First of all, let's do something we can guess is reasonable. $P is usually an abbreviation for the built-in (intrinsic) function $PIECE. an I standing alone is probably an IF command
and an S standing alone is probably a SET command. This runs into a problem with your example, because the format of a line of MUMPS code is COMMAND COMMAND-ARGUMENT.
Aside Note: I also just tried to put the text COMMAND-ARGUMENT in "angle brackets" ie: with a less-than character at the beginning of the word and a greater-than character at the end. The text COMMAND-ARGUMENT just disappeared. Which means that stackoverflow sees it as HTML markup. I notice there is a Code marker on the top of this edit window which may or may not help.
If we do the expansions to the code above, we get:
IF $PIECE(GIH,,24)= SET $PIECE(GIH,,24)="C" SET
When we expand the final S but it looks like a SET command, but without any set-argument.
Note, if this was in a Cache system, we might have an example of extra spaces allowed by Cache, which are not allowed in Standard MUMPS, ie the S may have been the right hand side of an equality operator in the IF command. This would only make sense if Cache also allowed the argument of the SET command to be in code without an actual SET command.
i.e.:
IF $PIECE(GIH,,24)=S $PIECE(GIH,,24)="C" SET
We still would have to deal with the two commas in a row for the $PIECE intrinsic function. Currently using two commas in a row to indicate a missing argument is only allowed in Programmer-written code, not when using built-in functions. So this might be a place where we can guess what you meant, or originally pasted in.
If we put in double-quotes we run into the problem that $PIECE command (which separates a string based on a delimiter) would have an quoted string of zero length given as its second argument. Which is just as erroneous as having an empty argument.
So if we hypothesize a quoted string that has angle brackets, we would get something this for your original line:
IF $PIECE(GIH,"<something>",24)="<something>" SET $PIECE(GIH,"<something>",24)="C" SET
Note: I just saw the Code marker allows use of grave accents to keep from assuming a line is HTML - which is good since grave accent is not a character used in MUMPS coding.
As has been mentioned on another reply, the SET-$PIECE-ARGUMENT form is used to change the data stored in a database at a particular delimited substring location.
So this code might be fine for guessing, but it has gone far afield of what you may or may not have done. So I'm stopping now until we get feedback that this is even close to what you wanted. As I said at the first, this is still not quite valid code.
This is pretty bizarre, but what I think is going on is:
I $P(GIH,<null>,24)=<null>
Calling $PIECE with the second argument null will replace the entire string with the value you're assigning, which, in this case, is also null. It looks like a convoluted way of clearing the value of GIH and permitting control to flow into the following SET statement. I seriously doubt that $PIECE sets the $T flag, though, which means that calling this as the condition for the IF operator probably isn't working the way you want it to.

The next statement looks a lot like the first -- replace the entirety of GIH with "C".

Maybe Intersystems Caché handles this syntax differently, but that code results in a syntax error when I try it in Caché. There may be other versions of MUMPS for which that is valid, but I don't think it is.
As other have pointed out this statement is not valid, It appears pieces are missing
But S is the SET command in Mumps
Here is what a statement like this might look like:

in this case GIH might look something like:

which would make this evaluate to TRUE:

so after:

GIH will be:
GIH=256^^^42^^^^Mike^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^C^^^
then it would set the variable UPDATEFLG=1
