I intend to do this:
Left Side Column ---> Frozen
Right Side Column ---> Scrollable
The problem that I'm facing currently is that only <td> part is getting frozen. and the <th> has no effect of the code. I couldn't figure out how to get this fixed? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
HTML code:

The below picture represents a timeline. Here the task "Exercise" starts from 8:00 to 8:15 and which has been marked with light-blue background color. The other two tasks - first one is "Travel to work" and second one is "Plan day" - are getting overlapped because the former task ("Travel to work") starts from 8:25 to 8:55 and the later task ("Plan day") starts from 8:30 to 9:00. So the overlapping tasks should show as given in the picture.
I tried to implement this using HTML table and css but I am really stuck to move further and its not working the way it is showing in the picture.
<style>
.line{
/* width: 100%; */
border-top: 1px solid black;
/* position: absolute; */
background-color: #ADD8E6;
width: 45%;
height: 30pt;
}
.halfAnHour{
font-size: 11px;
/* text-align: right; */
}
.title{
font-size: 10px;
}
.starttime{
text-align: right;
vertical-align: top;
white-space: nowrap;
}
.time{
border-top: 1px solid black;
width: 10%;
height: 30pt;
}
</style>
<body>
<table style="width: 100%;">
<tr>
<td class="time" style="width: 10%;height: 30pt;">8:00</td>
<td class="line" style="width: 45%;height: 30pt;">Excercise</td>
<td class="line" style="width: 45%;height: 30pt;"> </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="time" style="height: 30pt;">8:30</td>
<td class="line">Travel to work</td>
<td class="line"> </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="time">9:00</td>
<td class="line">Plan day</td>
<td class="line"> </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="time">9:30</td>
<td class="line">Review yesterday's comments</td>
<td class="line"> </td>

</table>

You could use CSS Flexbox and some manipulation of position to overlap tasks occurring in the same hour. This is a good start to achieving a similar layout to the image you provided.

Im facing two problems which are related with each other as i can assume. My webpage is not being fully displayed, a lot of content is hidden down and the scrollbar at the right side and the vertical one are not shown. I have tried to solve that with the overflow property in the body, the scrollbar was there but invisible so it didnt help me a lot. I want the content to be visible even though im zooming in(200% or whatever)
here is a snippet of my code

Well, I'm not sure if this would be correct answer. but I removed the 'position:fixed' property from 'mainContentClient' class and the scrollbar is showing and you can scroll your content. Try it and let me know if it helped :).
.mainContentClient {
top: 0;
height: 100%;
width: 77%;
margin: 0 280px;
}
I have a table in this format:
.main-table {
margin-top: 1vw;
margin-left: 1vw;
height: 30vw;
overflow-y: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
}
table {
border-collapse: separate;
border-radius: 3vw;
border-spacing: 0;
margin-top: 1vw;
width: 87vw;
}
td,
th {
border: none;
}
th {
height: 2vw;
background: #deb724;
font-weight: bold;
}
td {
height: 3vw;
background: white;
text-align: center;
}
tr td:hover {
background: #d5d5d5;
}
<div class="main-table">
<table>
<thead>
<tr>
<th> Hello </th>
<th> World </th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td> Wow look </td>
<td> What is this </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
There is a border-radius property on the table, however it's not applying. I have been looking up and all I can find is set border-collapse as separate, but that didn't do it either. Any help?
Add overflow: hidden to table.
.main-table {
margin-top: 1vw;
margin-left: 1vw;
height: 30vw;
overflow-y: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
}
table {
border-collapse: separate;
border-radius: 3vw;
border-spacing: 0;
margin-top: 1vw;
width: 87vw;
overflow: hidden;
}
td,
th {
border: none;
}
th {
height: 2vw;
background: #deb724;
font-weight: bold;
}
td {
height: 3vw;
background: white;
text-align: center;
}
tr td:hover {
background: #d5d5d5;
}
<div class="main-table">
<table>
<thead>
<tr>
<th> Hello </th>
<th> World </th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td> Wow look </td>
<td> What is this </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
Actually it is applied, but overflows it outside. We can see that by adding border to table in the below snippet. That's why we should add overflow: hidden
.main-table {
margin-top: 1vw;
margin-left: 1vw;
height: 30vw;
overflow-y: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
}
table {
border-collapse: separate;
border-radius: 3vw;
border-spacing: 0;
margin-top: 1vw;
width: 87vw;
border: 2px solid red;
}
td,
th {
border: none;
}
th {
height: 2vw;
background: #deb724;
font-weight: bold;
}
td {
height: 3vw;
background: white;
text-align: center;
}
tr td:hover {
background: #d5d5d5;
}
<div class="main-table">
<table>
<thead>
<tr>
<th> Hello </th>
<th> World </th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td> Wow look </td>
<td> What is this </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
I have a problem with my fixed header and fixed column table. The header is fixed but the column isn't. So how do I fix this problem? I have tried to give the first column position: fixed but it doesn't work right. If possible without Javascript. (I have tried to find solutions from earlier questions of the same topic but none of those helped me). Here is my Codepen.

I have a page which has other sub-tables inside one big table that divides the whole page into 2 parts. My question is how can I change position of all elements inside td tags in order to look it nice? The result I have now is here:
Current result with no position formatting
I want it to look like like this:
The way it's supposed to look
I've tried to do it with CSS formatting using relative position feature like this
.leftSide
{
position: relative;
bottom:250px;
}
And it works so well, but when I zoom in- zoom out this page in the browser it becomes a one big mess(elements by default in the middle of td tag, but then I do it, elements are out of the table). How can I avoid it?
My whole code below:
.splitTable {
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
border: 6px solid #05788D;
border-collapse: collapse;
}
.sides {
