Remove state for current location - react-router

Every time I change the route, I send a message through location`s state.
I want to remove that message when componentWillUnmont().

For anyone stuck on a similar problem like I was...This is for react router v4.
What you can do, instead, is hook into the componentWillMount() method.
Define the message in your component's constructor:

this.message = '';
}
Then your componentWillMount() will look like this:
componentWillMount() {

this.message = this.props.location.state.message;
this.props.history.replace({
pathname: this.props.location.pathname,

The above code will replace the location's state after you've grabbed the message. So you'll want to use this.message to display that message moving forward.
Now, you can reference your message during render like so:

<div>{this.message}</div>
);
}
Your message should clear when the location changes.
I would recommend creating a component specifically for this task which you can then include in any component which you're expecting the message.

How to update the html page view after a timeout in Angular

I am trying to display a routerlink name based on a condition. I want to display the div section routerLink name if condition is true.If i check {{isNameAvailable}}, first it displays false and after this.names got the values it shows true.Since in the component getDetails() method is asynchronous this.names getting the values after html template render.Therefore this routerLink does n't display.Therefore I want to display div section after some time. (That 's the solution i have) Don't know whether is there any other solution.

1.You do not have anything to show in the HTML only the isNameAvailable, because you do not have any assignment in the Name variable.
2.It is better to use the angular build-in async pipe,
when you want to show the returned value from observables.
3.When you are using the *ngIf directive you can skip *ngIf ="isNameAvailable === true" check because the variable is boolean type, you gust write *ngIf ="isNameAvailable", it will check also for null but NOT for undefined
It is working because the *ngIf directive is responsible for checking and rendering the UI, you can see how many times the directive is checking by calling an function and print and answer in the console.
By any chance do you have changeDetection: ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush docs set in component annotation? That might explain this behaviour. With it Angular run change detection only on component #Input()'s changes and since in your case there were non it did not run change detection which is why template was not updated. You could comment that line to check if that was cause of the issue. You are always able to run change detection manually via ChangeDetectorRef.detectChange() docs which should solve you problem

You could use RxJS timer function with switchMap operator instead of a Promise to trigger something after a specific time.

How to efficiently fetch data from URL and read it with reactjs?

I have some URL with json and need to read data.
For the sake of this example json looks like this:

I want to return fetched data as a property of a component.
What is the best way to do it?
I tried to do that with axios. I managed to fetch data, but after setState in render() method I received an empty object. This is the code:

I don't have a clue why in render() method the data has gone. If I put
console.log(response.data);
in .then section, I get the data with status 200.
So I ask now if there is the other way to do that.

In MyTable component I got an error after this:

Before the request is returned, React will try to render your component. Then once the request is completed and the data is returned, react will re-render your component following the setState call.
The problem is that your code does not account for an empty/undefined data object. Just add a check, i.e.

In React, after you have stored your ajax result in the state of the component (which you do appear to be doing), you can retrieve that result by calling this.state.list

Why is my props undefined when i passed a defined state through?

I am trying to pass data to a child component and I keep getting an undefined prop. I think it may have an issue with when Im setting the state in the parent component. Should i not be using componentWillMount?

The problem is that your promise may not return before componentWillMount finishes and render is called. So products won't exist yet. You could do something like this:

the problem is that you do not have an initial state for winks Since you are relying on an ajax call to set the state of winks, the ajax call will take place asynchronously and then it will execute the render function before the api call finishes causing this.state.winks to be undefined initially.
You could do something like this

How to pass a thunk or callback function into a redux action. Serializing functions in a redux store for modals and toast confirm notifications

When using a generic modal or toast with a confirm button, it becomes useful to be able to pass an action into this component so it can be dispatched when you click confirm.
The action may look something like this:

Unfortunatley this solution only works if modalConfirm is a simple redux action object. This system is clearly very limited. Is there anyway you can pass a function (such as a thunk) in instead of a simple object?

Funny, putting an action object in the store and passing it as a prop to a generic dialog is exactly the approach I came up with myself. I've actually got a blog post waiting to be published describing that idea.
The answer to your question is "Yes, but....". Per the Redux FAQ at http://redux.js.org/docs/FAQ.html#organizing-state-non-serializable , it's entirely possible to put non-serializable values such as functions into your actions and the store. However, that generally causes time-travel debugging to not work as expected. If that's not a concern for you, then go right ahead.
Another option would be to break your modal confirmation into two parts. Have the initial modal confirmation still be a plain action object, but use a middleware to watch for that being dispatched, and do the additional work from there. This is a good use case for Redux-Saga.
I ended up using string aliases to an actions library that centrally registers the actions.

The modalConfirm object is passed in to the modal by props. The modal component requires the getFunction function in the module above. The modalConfirm object is transformed into a function as follows:

As you can see, this function can take in inputs from the modal. It can execute any type of complicated action or thunk. This system does not break time-travel but the centralized library is a bit of a drawback.

ReactJS Fixed-Data-Table and Async JSON for DataListStore

I am trying to learn ReactJS with ES6 along with setting up an instance of Fixed-Data-Table. I'm using the ObjectDataExample example from the github repo, but instead of the faker() values fed to the DataListStore, I want to use a DataListStore that gets its cache from a remote JSON resource. This is how I have defined my DataListStore:

As you can see I'm following the FakeObjectDataListStore provided with the example from fixed-data-table more or less. The JSON is fetched properly, the _cache is populated with an array of objects, and when you output getSize once getRemoteData has executed, you do get the size of the _cache. However, I haven't figured out how my fixed-data-table Table component should be updated once the data has been fetched. Currently the Table is rendered but is simple blank with no rows.

I think the main issue is that I don't have any code meant to populate the table once MyDataListStore is populated with the data from the async call. However, I can't find any help from the examples given in the Fixed-Data-Table github repo or the docs. Any idea how to get this done? I assume I need to set up some sort of event listener, but I'm not sure where/how to do this, as I'm still new to both ReactJS and Fixed-Data-Table.
Edit: I should also add that when the page loads, I get the following error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'id' of undefined
once I set the initial this.size to more than 0. So of course the table doesn't have the available data when it's first loading.
Edit 2: After looking into this further, it looks like if I run the fetch in componentDidMount of my ObjectDataExample and use this.setState(); to reset the dataList object, then I get the table updated. However, this looks a little messy and I'd assume there's a better way to do this directly from my MyDataListStore object.

One design issue with the current implementation of MyDataListStore is that it does not provide a way to notify the caller when the data has been loaded.
One possible way you might do this is to implement some sort of factory function (in the example below, I'm pretending that one exists called MyDataListStore.of) that returns a Promise that eventually resolves the MyDataListStore instance once the data loads:
